I don't believe great design comes from applying the same style to every home.

Every project begins by understanding how you live, what inspires you and how you want your home to feel. Whether your style is contemporary, classic, coastal, modern, timeless or something entirely your own, my role is to bring your vision together in a way that feels cohesive, practical and uniquely personal.

The result isn't a home that looks like one of my previous projects, it's a home that feels completely yours.

What I love most about my job is helping people see the potential in their homes and creating spaces that genuinely improve the way they live. There's something incredibly rewarding about taking a space that feels overwhelming, impractical or uninspiring and transforming it into somewhere that feels beautiful, functional and uniquely theirs.

Every project is different. I enjoy the challenge of solving design problems, reimagining layouts and bringing together materials, colours and textures in a way that tells my clients' story. Most of all, I love seeing the moment when a client walks into their completed space and says, "This is even better than I imagined."

For me, great design isn't just about how a home looks, it's about creating spaces that feel effortless to live in and bring joy every single day.

For as long as I can remember, creativity and innovation have been at the forefront of everything I do. Whether designing a high-end corporate event, creating a rooftop poolside bar, or renovating a home, I have always been drawn to beautiful spaces and the transformative power of thoughtful design.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of travelling the world and working on remarkable projects alongside incredibly talented people. My career has seen me receive prestigious awards across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and New Zealand, while leading media launches, large-scale events and specialised projects for high-end brands as a Senior Events Producer and Project Architect.

Starting my own business felt like a natural evolution. I wanted the freedom to bring together everything I love—creativity, strategic thinking, spatial design and collaboration—to create spaces that are both beautiful and deeply personal. There is something incredibly rewarding about helping clients reimagine their homes and seeing the positive impact great design can have on their everyday lives.

My appreciation for interiors and architecture has grown significantly over the years, leading me to complete a Diploma in Interior Design and SketchUp Pro for Interior Designers. This formal training has strengthened my understanding of design principles and further cemented my passion for creating thoughtful, functional and memorable spaces.

Today, Kirsty Vegas Design is the culmination of a lifetime of creative experiences, and I feel incredibly fortunate to do what I love every day.

Yes, absolutely. I offer a range of services remotely and work with clients throughout New Zealand and internationally.

Virtual consultations can be arranged via FaceTime, Zoom, Microsoft Teams or other online platforms, providing expert advice on interiors, colour palettes, furnishings, finishes and design direction from the comfort of your home.

My spatial redesign service is also ideally suited to remote delivery. Clients simply provide their existing floor plans along with photographs or a walkthrough video of the space. From there, I can assess the layout and provide practical design solutions, including updated floor plans, space planning recommendations and, where required, detailed 3D renders to help visualise the finished result.

Whether you're looking for a fresh perspective on a single room or a complete home transformation, I can guide you through the design process remotely with the same level of care, creativity and attention to detail as an in-person service.

Your comfort and safety is incredibly important to me. I am fully vaccinated and am happy to wear a mask during consultations or site visits if that makes you feel more comfortable.

I understand that every client has different preferences when it comes to health and safety, so I am always happy to accommodate individual requests. Where tradespeople are involved, I can assist in ensuring everyone entering your home adheres to any safety requirements you may have.

I also offer virtual consultations via Zoom, FaceTime or Microsoft Teams for clients who prefer to meet remotely. My goal is to ensure that every client feels safe, respected and completely at ease throughout the design process.
