We bought our home 12 years ago. We loved the area and as soon as we settled down we knew this was a home for life. But over the years we started to fall out of love with our home. With growing family the house was quickly becoming too small. We felt that our only option was to sell and move to a bigger house. After speaking with friends they recommended that we speak to Clive in Rinnovare before we put our home on the market. I must say this was the best decision we ever made. As soon as met Clive it was clear that we could transform our home without the need to move. His ideas and approach sold it for us. We only added a small ground floor extension of 20 sq. metres but the house feels twice as big. We now have an open plan living area with a brilliant new kitchen and utility area. We also have a new walk in wardrobe and ensuite in our master bedroom, something which I thought was not possible. Overall all we are delighted with the job that Clive and his team have done with our home. It feels that we now have the home we always wanted

Nico and his team just finished installing a new kitchen in a new room so we could turn the old kitchen into an extra bedroom in our old Georgian apartment. In addition to this we needed our very old cracked ceiling taken down and redone with new plasterboard and ceiling roses. From the start he and his team were very patient and polite even when the inevitable surprises that come with an old house show themselves. They arrived everyday on time and didn’t put themselves under pressure to get in and get out as quick as possible. The job was going to be done and it would be done right. Even if there was something that needed to be changed it wasn’t a problem. It was all about keeping us happy. His pricing was fair and if some unforeseen repair had to be done he would only charge for materials and time needed to fix it. Because of this he probably saved us even more in the long run. Everything in the kitchen is perfect and the new bedroom is looking far better than expected. We will be very happy to use him again for our bathroom renovation in due course. It’s very satisfying to have someone who you know didn’t take advantage in situations that others might have.

What makes a great Kitchen Design?
A kitchen is often regarded as the hub of a home and as such, is a hive of activity. From cooking, socialising, eating and cleaning - there’s a lot that takes place in a kitchen! So what you should aim for is a kitchen that truly works for your needs and gives you plenty of space to be able to move around in.
If the layout is awkward or lacks space it’s simply not going to work for your family. So, if you are currently having any such issues then this is what you need to tell your kitchen designer. Invite them into the space so they can suggest an alternate solution. You can then begin to think about the aesthetics which will work in tandem with the initial design and planning.
Different types of Kitchen Designs
Many different elements make up kitchen design, including the layout of units as well as the placement of your appliances. These categories reflect the style you wish to opt for, so narrowing these down will help determine your kitchen design.
Luxury Kitchens - Luxury kitchens have bespoke features and premium quality materials. For example, granite worktops, underfloor heating, extensions, or a sliding door leading straight to the garden. Luxury kitchens are exquisite, which makes them far more expensive than regular kitchen design. However, when designed well, they will increase the value of your property.
Modern Kitchens - Trends are ever-changing, but the current definition of a modern kitchen is something which uses clean colours and is flooded with natural light. Sleek, glossy units are also very popular, as are ‘hidden’ features that keep things minimalistic.
Rustic Kitchens - Want a kitchen that makes you feel like you’re in the middle of the countryside? Rustic designs use earthy materials such as wood and stone, to create a homely feel. They are ideal for those who love to cook, especially with traditional appliances such as an Aga oven.
Simplistic Kitchens - Not all kitchen designs have to be big and fancy. It’s perfectly possible to keep things simple, especially if you’re working with a much smaller space. Simplistic kitchen design is all about going back to basics. It will focus on giving you space to prepare your food and use the sink, rather than adding in too many units or pieces of furniture.
Can I find a Kitchen Designer online?
Yes! Bark makes it simple to find and hire a Kitchen Designer from the comfort of your home. Just tell us what you’re looking for and we’ll connect you with the best Kitchen Designers for the job. Most Kitchen Designers will be able to offer their services online or remotely, all you’ll need is a phone or a strong internet connection.
How much does Kitchen Design cost?
Usually, kitchen design and planning comes included in the cost of the entire kitchen. It will be provided by the installer or company you buy your units from.
What to look for in a Kitchen Designer
As with any designer you are looking to hire, a flair for creativity, innovation and problem solving are highly desirable qualities. Ideally, the individual or company will be highly experienced in the inner-workings of a kitchen. They will fully understand what pitfalls to avoid, and be able to advise on what layout would maximise the space and natural light in your home.
