We have used Truffle Lodge several times now while on holidays and are so impressed with Imelda’s Cattery and our cats care while away. she always seems so content there.Imelda sends us videos on WhatsApp during holiday which is a lovely gesture and so reassuring to see our cat while away.It is always a wrench leaving ones pets with someone else but Truffle Lodge is truly a home from home experience.We would thoroughly recommend this cattery More...

Just back from our holidays, third year in a row leaving our cat in Imelda's care . It is so reassuring to go away and know that our family pet is in such excellent care. I would highly recommend Truffle Lodge to all cat owners out there. Left 2 young cats (first time in a cattery for both) and was very impressed how quickly they were made to feel welcome and at home. Both were taken very good care of, specially one who had an asthma attack (due to bad lungs, not triggered by stress nor the environment). The vet was called out of hours and came immediately to treat him. All necessary information and medication was shared to our vet and to us. Happy Imelda was there to help us and our cat while we were away. Both were delighted with their stay (a lot of play time and visits..) and will be back soon! More...

I have two Burmese cats who are notorious as a breed for needing to be around people because they are so social. We had left them in our home previously thinking it would be better for them to have someone come in and feed them when we were away, but they ended up getting stressed and sprayed everywhere. We had to get a new sofa! Coming back from London where we lived, I couldn't find anywhere in Cork that was like the places we used in the UK, until I went to meet Imelda. Everything, firstly, is so perfectly neat and clean. Imelda's nature is very warm, smiley and reassuring. She is METICULOUS at instructions so if your cat is to only have a few biscuits, Imelda will respect that 100%. Our cats adore being down there and are never stressed returning home. We had our 10 month old kitten stay at the Cattery for 4 days. Imelda made us feel really comfortable, she was very thorough with checking his latest vaccinations and worming/deflea treatments. This was reassuring as we didn't want him to come home with anything. We were impressed with the cattery as it was bright, roomy, cosy and super clean. Our cat settled really quickly when we dropped him off.During our cat's stay Imelda checked in with us, sent us a video and reassured us our cat was happy which was a lovely bonus while we were away! ☺I would definitely recommend Truffle Lodge and I'm sure Oscar will be staying again. We’ve left our cat with Imelda for the 2nd time recently and I really wouldn’t choose anyone else. Gus can be quite stressed out when we first arrive, but he never wants to leave by the time we come back! Imelda takes such good care of the cats, knows them all by name and spends a lot of time playing with them. The rooms are spacious, protected from the elements and well equipped with beds, toys, litter, different levels etc. Gus was there during ‘Beast from the East’ this year and Imelda assured me the rooms were well insulated with heaters. Imelda sends regular updates by Whatapp to let you know how your cat is getting on. She really understands that both the cats and owners can be anxious sometimes. I would be lost without Imelda. It really puts my mind at ease to know that Gus is in safe hands with her while we’re away. I will definitely be booking Gus in for our next trip. More...

I have brought my pride & joy 'Pookie' to Imelda on numerous occasions and there is nowhere else I would send her. She is so well looked after, the facilities are bright, clean and fun. I once had Pookie return home drinking water when I had struggled for a long time to get her to do so. I would highly recommend Truffle Lodge and Imelda. I treat my cat like a child (so I've been told!!!) and I would be very wary of who I'd leave her with but I always feel confident dropping her to Truffle Lodge as Imelda's love and care for all the kitty's and her professionalism are always truly evident. Truffle Lodge Kitty Care is amazing. We have brought our cat here a number of times and have been so impressed with the standard of care offered by Imelda and Truffle Lodge. It truly is a home from home for our cat as it has heated beds (for the cold winter nights), nutritious food, interactive play areas and spacious kitty rooms. Which is why we travel 34km to leave our cat in Imelda’s superb care. We have total peace of mind when we are away knowing that our cat is getting the 5 star treatment. She is exceptionally professional, the facilities are impeccable and embody all that is luxury. We have dropped our cat to Truffle Lodge Kitty Care on a number of occasions over the past year, for stays ranging from a few days to two weeks. Truffle Lodge is always very clean and each individual "suite" is cosy and welcoming. We always feel like our cat will be safe and warm both during the winter and summer stays, he is always in good form and bright when we collect him. I'm a sailor sailing around the world with my cat. I let my little "Mousse" over there for 10 days when I stopped in Kinsale. Imelda came to the boat to pick up Mousse and l take her back. I've left my Pippi for the first time a couple of weeks ago. When I got back to collect her after 5 days, she was so relaxed and happy! She even became more playful than she was at home, and she showed no signs of distress once we were back home. I sent my much loved kitty to Truffle Lodge and she had a wonderful time!!!. I had to leave her there for over 2/3 weeks and I was completely at ease after meeting Imelda. I knew Pookie was in good hands and would be looked after very well. Which she was.. She even returned home drinking water which I was struggling to get her to do!!!:) I would highly recommend Truffle Lodge. I would just like to commend the wonderful truffle lodge that really cared and looked after a very very spoiled cat over xmas, it was not an easy job but it was done with love, I got a daily text to update me on progress which was very much appreciated, and if truffle lodge will acept mimi again I will certainally use it, a brilliant loving place and people thank you soooooooooooo much, best wishes Ita.
