I had been a part of World Gym Barrie for about two years, and I had been a part of the ownership transition.
The facility had always been great;
great members, great team, and an overall positive environment. Like any place, sometimes you had your drama with other staff, but things would settle down quite quickly. I had always been provided with positive criticism and given room to grow my knowledge in the industry.
If I had the ability to stay a part of the team, I would have. However unfortunately I had to move out of the area and that's the only reason I had left.
The best part for me was probably when new ownership took over. Of course it was a scary thing at first because you don't know how it's going to turn out. But when the dust settled, new ownership turned out to be really great and customer service oriented.
I heard there's a new General Manager in there now too that's really making positive changes. I'm curious to see all the changes that have been done.

Been going to this gym for a year or so. Large spacious gym so you never feel like your on top of each other. Plenty of room to move around and you never have to wait for equipment. I haven't taken all the classes they provide but the few I have taken were great. Spin is awesome, I LOVE Terri!! They also have a protein bar where you can have shakes made. You have to pay extra but the prices are pretty reasonable. They do also have a pool, tennis courts, sauna, etc. If your looking for a middle range priced gym, where your not packed like sardines, I would definitely look into this gym. More...
