I had heard so many good things about Roxane and her Saturday Hatha Intermediate class, and I was not disappointed. Loved her sense of humour and ability to explain the spiritual aspects of yoga in a very grounded and practical way. You can tell she has a devoted following from all the regulars present, but newcomers are warmly welcomed too. I even managed to coax my body into the splits, a feat not accomplished since a decade ago. I will definitely be back. More...

The small class sizes ensure loads of interactions between the teachers and the students and leads to a more personalized practice. As a beginner, this is key building your foundation of yoga. As an intermediate, you get challenged more... again, much more personalized and much more fun. ;) More...

Lovely community and oasis in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the Byward market. The large studio upstairs is a bright and wondrous room amazing to practice in!

I recently completed my 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training at Upward Dog with Elizabeth & Garrett. I found their Yoga Night School offering very comprehensive and practical for the working professional. With the focuses both on Yoga philosophy and physical anatomy plus the practical teaching time, I feel well prepared to begin teaching. The studio itself is this unique gem in the Byward Market. The building itself has such character. The teachers and staff are friendly and helpful. All combined makes for an amazing Upward Dog experience and atmosphere. More...

I love this studio! I'm new here but its the perfect combo of traditional and contemporary (true yoga plus fun workshops, acro yoga etc) Riley is a great! excellent cuing, perfect music. The hip vinyasa class Tuesday night is perfection. We also go to the Friday night acro yoga. I like that its not exclusively a hot studio and that the classes aren't jammed packed- Im not a fan of the taped floor classes where you have an inch to spare on either side of your mat. Super cosy atmosphere and friendly people. More...

Words cannot express how much I love this studio, the friendly and professional staff and how cozy and relaxing the atmosphere is. I thoroughly enjoy attending the classes because it's so much more than just a yoga studio. The only way to understand how great it is here is to come in yourself and attend a class, you definitely will not regret it! More...

The first I went here was because it was convenient, the second and third time I went becuase it was such an awesome experience! Beautiful space in the upstairs hot room, high ceilings, large windows and the rooom is a good temp (not too hot). Â I went to Melissa's Power Vinyasa class on a Monday night and although left without doing a standard sun salutation, I enjoyed getting out of the yoga rut I seem to have fallen into. Â The class starts at 5:45 and ends at 7:15 - which is perfect to sneak in after work and not take over your night. Drop in fees are bit pricey ($17) but it's more affordable with a student card ($12), and they offer a variety of packages. This is that place I've been looking for to get out of my yoga rut! More...
