I used the Smokery for a birthday party on a Saturday night. Chris was very accommodating and helped me turn my idea into reality. The venue is perfect for hosting fun and intimate gatherings. I would absolutely recommend it. The drinks were well poured and the appetizers and sliders were made fresh and were quite enjoyable. My guests had an amazing time which was the goal of the event. We went to the Smokery yesterday for lunch, what a great experience and even better food! Chris (our server and maybe the owner? ) provided excellent service and was exceptional in his engagement with our 3.5 year old! If he isn't the owner I'd be surprised because it sure felt like we were being served by someone who truly Valued our visit and experience while we were there!On to the food! I had a watermelon and goat cheese mousse salad that was the perfect expression of summer! Flavour and presentation totally on point. My husband had a special - a homemade baconator which he loved, the house smoked bacon was the best he'd ever had and the two patties were juicy and perfectly seasoned! Our daughter ordered the spaghetti and meatballs from the kids menu - and she ate it all (if you knew her you'd know this is a BIG deal). All in all a really great experience from the food to the service. Even when Chris got busy (I think he was the only server on) he went above and beyond our expectations and made sure to take care of our daughter whenever she needed more apple juice (again if you knew her you'd know this is a BIG deal). This place is great. Chris is warm and welcoming. Makes a great rye Manhattan with house made maraschino cherries. The food is phenomenal - fresh, house made and always delicious. This has been our go to place, since it's opening, for everything from a 'let's go out for dinner' to having lunch with friends and our date nights and celebrations. We have never been disappointed and his staff are an extension of himself. Everyone is super knowledgeable about food and drink selection and what pairs well. Love this barbeque joint. Our favourite dishes are their fried chicken, and beef brisket! Only 4 stars though since it was a bit of a miss last time we went. We celebrated my father’s birthday here and it could not have gone more smoothly. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. The food was perfect (most of the guests emailed me after just to talk about how amazing the food was). They put together a buffet dinner of fried chicken, brisket, roast carrots and squash, corn bread, Caesar salad and a penne pasta. Everyone was stuffed and happy by the time we were done eating! I took my girl friend out for lunch and it was spectacular! She ordered the roasted pear salad with pulled chicken and I had the 16-hour smoked Brisket sandwich. Just celebrated my 50th with Chris and the staff at the Smokery! We’ve celebrated several life defining moments there... it’s that kind of place. We always eat family style here, sharing so as to be able to get a taste of all the bountiful goodness! Their Caesar is one of my favourites anywhere. Their smoked wings are second to none. Try to cauliflower too...just a beautiful marriage of flavours. Their brisket and honey fried chicken are culinary staples. You really just can’t go wrong! And all of this is before Chris comes by your table to make a personal connection! The man is doing what he was made to do!
