I visited Nick's on a Sunday evening. The decor is a little dated, but the food was very good. I chose the prime rib special - it was a very good choice. The real surprise was how good the the service was. The waiter was friendly, efficient, and very attentive without being overbearing. He went out of his way to explain options and what was being served, and offered to provide additional condiments based on what I liked and didn't like. Overall this was a very pleasant dinner. Mind-meltingly expensive. Dropped in for an expected steak sandwich special for around $10 found to be $27! No lunch specials. Ended up with the soup and salad for $11. Salad tasted like it came out of a bag and the soup out of a can. More...

Excellent service and quality of food with a price that reflects. Very friendly team and homely feeling environment. The seasoning and charbroiled in the steaks shines through blatantly with flavour. Portion sizes are more then impressive from pasta, pizza, or steaks you'll be impressed for sure. A humble steakhouse. Only negatives I can say is how crazy packed they made the place! We were in a really busy spot that was quite cramped in the middle of the server isles. Also the beer menu needs to be updated as alot of what I chose was unavailable and change. Tables everywhere they can fit it you can tell the servers were frustrated. Greeted at door by very friendly couple. Excellent meal! Entre comes with salad, garlic toast, huge portions. Nice atmosphere, very pleasant and efficient waitress. Great place!!

Oh.my.god! Amazing! I had a 6oz sirloin with Neptune shrimp on top. It melted in my mouth. Perfect!. The potato's were creamy and vegetables delicious. Will return again if I'm ever in Calgary for another trip. I highly recommend! Yes it is expensive. But it is worth it! More...
