This is a great spot for relaxed fine dining in the region. The food is always unique and delicious, every dish very well prepared. The menu changes often so it is always good to pop back in and see what’s cooking. They also do these very cool theme nights which are posted on their website in advance; tickets are required and do sell out, so jump on it if you are interested. It’s not a massive restaurant so definitely call ahead and make a reservation anytime you plan to go. The service is nearly unparalleled. The servers staff know the food and drinks offered really well and can answer your questions. Food is always presented beautifully and in a timely manner. The price point might seem high but you are paying for the quality and it is worth every penny. More...

Cozy, classy, got the whole place for our party for a birthday, food was really tasty. But here's a tip (work for a restaurant and am Italian). . your focaccia bread could use a bit less oil and more spices! Rosemary, a little more salt and a touch of pepper would really bring it up to perfect! More...

Our office had a day of team building and we ended our evening with a delicious dinner at Nick & Nats. The size of the room was perfect for a private event (about 35 people). The menu selection was fantastic and included a fish, meat, and vegetarian option. The best dishes were the mushroom soup, the steak dish and the absolute most delicious London Fog Creme Brulee! The food and atmosphere was perfect and above all the service was amazing. Thank you for having us host an important night at your restaurant and making it extra special. More...

Locally sourced food made creatively into tapas to try on Tuesdays. Ordered the whole menu and wasn't disappointed by a single dish. Their daily lunch sandwiches are great too, both in taste and price. More...

I can only speak to their brown bag lunches - which I love! My favorites is the fried chicken! I always like to try new ones if possible. Do arrive early since they do often sell out quickly. Cash only! Head right to the back to be served! Yum. More...

We have been coming here for years and it is consistently fantastic. If you are in the area definitely make it a priority, but the real treat is being able to go over and over. It is always something unique, interesting, and delicious. My favourite restaurant in Waterloo, or anywhere for that matter. So good I had to write a review, which I never do. More...

August 22nd was Forrest Gump themed Dinner with mainly shrimp based dishes. The amount (2starters, four types of main courses, and dessert) and style of food was very good. Would definitely come here again.

Overall we enjoyed our experience but wouldn't bring our 6 year old for our next visit as they don't particularly cater to young children.

As someone with a number of food restrictions, I'm always anxious about eating out. Uptown 21 goes above and beyond for people with special dietary needs to make sure they get lots of delicious options for Tapas Tuesdays. I also appreciate their commitment to supporting local farmers and using fresh ingredients. The food is delicious! More...

Delicious gourmet multi-course meals. This restaurant doesn't keep regular hours, they sell tickets to prearranged dinner events. Very popular, they sell out quickly. More...

I always go on Tuesdays, when they have their fixed tapas dinner. It's all you can eat, freshly made tapas , including desserts, for $40 a person. I believe you also need to purchase a beverage with this, but they have an amazing cocktail and wine list to compliment your meal. They cater to allergies; you fill out a sheet at the beginning of the meal with any concerns, although they ask you not to include simple "dislikes" on the list. It's a fantastic night for couples or groups of friends. Just bear in mind everyone at the table must do the tapas. Reservations are highly recommended as it is a small dining room and a popular specialty night. More...

Came here for dinner on a business trip in February. We tried to show up without a reservation for Tapas Tuesday, but they were booked solid, so we returned the following day. All of the local beers and food choices my entire party had were interesting and delicious. The service was great, and the experience was a fantastic one. It was a pricey meal with the food and drinks, but worth the experience. I would have loved to have been able to check out their popular Tuesday special. More...

Pricey and somewhat slow service, though the amazing meals are worth a stop. We first tried to get in on the dmfamous tapas Tuesday, but were not able to without a reservation. We returned the following night for the normal menu. The boar patee was very good, especially with the incredible sourdough bread. The mussels were also good, though somewhat small individually and the fries they came with were more of a standout. The local craft beer they feature was also very good and had some excellent varieties. The cottage pie was also excellent and I loved the free bowl of bacon they offer on the side, it went very well with the heavy pie. The mini donuts were also excellent and I loved the ice cream. The prices were on the high side for the area though it is a very upscale locale. Also, service was pretty slow with sizeable waits for the drinks, appetizers, and main courses. More...

Had a gift certificate from Christmas to use at Uptown 21. We didn't make reservations but were able to sit at the bar for an amazing meal. The bartender was awesome, going over the entire menu in detail explaining the ingredients and his favourite meals. We settled for the three course meals for each of us and we ordered one of each of the first three courses. Every course was outstanding, tons of flavours, amazing presentations and ultimately fantastic taste. Our favourite dish of the night was the pork shank, we didn't use a knife to cut the meat off the bone, it just fell off into this delicious gravy. First time at this restaurant but we will certainly be back, unreal food! More...

We've only been their for the Tapas and some brown bag lunches. They are two very different experiences. The food quality has always been very good. The decor is nothing special, just a restaurant. Service has been great and the value, specially for tapas is definitely worth it. The only issue for some with the tapas, is you don't know what you are going to get ahead of time so if you are a picky eater you may want to avoid it. More...
