We wanted to renovate the basement with new carpet and vinyl floor. Livingston's has done work in this house and our other house over the years. We had them install new carpet in the family room and vinyl plank in the balance. The installers Steve and Justin were great and worked with us on a few changes we wanted to make with the vinyl. We had handscrapped hardwood installed on the entire first floor, about 950 square feet. It took the better part of a week to complete the job.
We had ceramic tiles to remove first, which took a lot of time. It was a messy process but the installers did a good job taping the area off. The installer Steve suggested some custom stair nosing work and it turned out really nice. The guys were careful and polite. They did a really nice job.
The day after they finished we heard a dripping from the washer and dryer. We called Gary and he came right out to see us. Apparently one of the washer hoses was worn. He went out and bought a new one and installed it on the spot – no charge! Thanks for the great install and better service. It's hard finding good work like Gary's crew did.

We just bought our townhouse and needed to replace the carpeting. Livingston's came and gave a good quote for the carpet in the bedrooms and the hardwood on the main level. Once we signed the deal it was a week later the installation went ahead. The carpet installer Raheel was very good and took his time. The hardwood guys were young and I wasn't sure about them. I called Livingston carpet to get a price on new carpet for our 3 rooms in the basement and stairs. We were looking for a certain kind of carpet and the salesman knew exactly we wanted. There were a couple styles to choose from which was nice. Since they apparently don’t work on commission we were able to work out a price we were happy with. We chose an install date and went ahead with it. The installers got there early in the morning and went right to work. They were very fast and everything looks great. The only thing is they didn’t take away the garbage bags and old carpet like we thought they would. So we called back and the delivery guy picked it up the next day. We needed carpet replaced on our stairs. Install was done within a few days of my visit to the store. Shortly thereafter, we encountered a flood in our home. After I contacted them to replace the carpet, they had someone onsite to remove the affected carpet the same day. The new carpet was installed within a few days of that. Overall good service. More...

We have used Livingston Carpets two times to replace the carpets in our house. The bedroom carpets were replaced in 1996 and recently we had the whole basement and stairs re-carpeted. Both times Bernie came out with fantastic samples for us to choose from and makes the process very easy. We have had two different installers and each time the installers were courteous and fast. My mother lives with us and they were accommodating to her when moving the furniture around and in general with the upheaval of an installation. I have always been satisfied with the amount Livingston carpets have charged us. We have also bought 2 area rugs from Bernie too. It was time to replace the carpet throughout our basement and we went to Livingston Carpets and Flooring. We met Bernie and Gary at the store and they gave us a number of samples to bring home. It took some time, and we were able to take home many samples, but we finally decided on a style. Then the holidays came and we delayed the install for a month or so which was fine with Bernie. The installers showed up on time and went straight to work. They took up all the old carpet and cut it up and put it to the curb for disposal. The installers were fast and our stairs and basement carpet looks fantastic. There were some carpet pieces left over and the staff had them bound for us to use as mats. Our Church was in need of new carpeting throughout the building. We visited Livingston Carpet and Flooring and Gary was able to provide us with a couple of samples to take that looked good and fit our budget. While we were making our decision Gary came out to the Church to take measurements and discuss the job with us. We requested that the carpet be installed in stages and Livingston’s was very accommodating to us. They stored the carpet for us until we were ready for the installation. We purchased carpet from Livingston and had it installed throughout our entire house. Generally the experience was very good and the end result was nice but they hire out installers who are independent contractors and the one they sent to us was a little surly. We live in Oakville so we can't put our old carpet out with the trash at the end of the week, it has to be hauled away. Livingston said that wasn't a problem and they would arrange for it to be taken out but on arrival the installer said he wouldn't take it. We had to call Livingston to have them tell the installer to take it. I had a couple scraps of old carpet hanging around in the house I was hoping he would haul away too but he only took away what he had torn out. All in all the job was fine it was just the details with the installer that might have been improved. More...

We were putting our house up for sale and decided to replace the carpet to make the house look as good as possible. Our real estate agent's interior design person recommended Livingston to us as a good place to go and we can't dispute that. Everything was done on time and well and the guy we were dealing kept on top of the job to make sure everything went according to plan. I've had Livingston carpet install carpets in my home twice in my basement (we had a flood) and once in my living room. Their prices are reasonable and they are friendly and accommodating. I could have used a bit more communication on when the installers were going to arrive. They were a little late but I had to call and ask where they were. Livingston installed all the carpets in the upstairs bedrooms and a portion of our basement, in the play area. They did an excellent job and I am very pleased with the work they did.
The crew was very nice and knew exactly what they were doing. Everything was good except the cleaning up. I am not very happy for that. I did pay for the cleaning up fee but they only took two-third of the old carpets away as their van had no room/space. They didn't come back to pick up the rest. I had to take care myself.
The owner Mr. Livingston who is an extremely nice person. He offered us a very good deal so that we can keep the carpet style which we were really like.
