They stripped the first floor to the studs, removed a wall and then installed a brand new kitchen as well as flooring, lights and partitions. Our project was a medium sized renovation including an extension addition to our house. They did it in a timely way, even when the weather wasn't cooperating. Excellent professional work. I am thrilled with the whole new face of my house! Tomer and his crew did an amazing job to make my concept work and look amazing.
They did the work in the timeline specified and the quality of their work is outstanding. My neighbors and people walking by all called out to say what a great job they were doing. The thing I like about them is that they , of course, know their business but they also listen to you about your ideas , explain the process and pay great attention to the details....which is important to me.

Tomer and his extremely skilled tradesmen are professional, polite, reliable and meticulous. These men are perfectionists. We had our porch rebuilt with Ipe which is extremely hard word that is difficult to work with. The finished product is simply stunning. Tomer stuck to his quote and agreed to make minor changes at our request and did not nickel and dime us. He arranged for other skilled trades as we needed them including HVAC and an electrician. We hired Tomer and Living Construction on the recommendation of friends and we were extremely happy with our decision. We purchased our first home in Toronto last year, and at 97 years old the house needed a lot of work, all of which Tomer and his team took care of it. In the end we got new insulation, windows and siding and eavestroughs. New internal staircases and removal of knob and tube. New flooring in the basement (tile and laminate), a sump pump and some damp proofing work there as well along with removal of old pipes and new drywall and lights. New cabinets, counter tops and flooring in the kitchen and then they painted the whole place. Tomer dealt with all the additional contractors (plumbers, electricians etc) and the project management support he provided was immensely valuable. As happens in renovations of old houses we came across a few surprises and challenges along the way (NOTHING in our house is square or level) but Tomer communicated well and helped us figure out the best solutions within our budget. We're delighted with how everything turned out and definitely will be using Living Construction again in the future when we tackle other renovation projects...like the bathroom. More...

Living Construction is a contractor you definitely want to use!!! They completed my house on time and it looks amazing!! We got them to finish the entire basement, paint the house from top to bottom, did a full master bathroom reno, change the carpet to all hardwood throughout the house, change light fixtures, reface the stairs, added potlights, etc. Basically, it was a 5-week renovation project that we are completely happy with from start to finish. Living Construction has given us a different view on buying a resale home. We thought it would be difficult and stressful to change things and make the house our own, but Tomer eased up our minds and gave us positive input and made the renovation process a lot easier than expected. Tomer and his crew built us a new deck on our 3rd floor patio, a small balcony off the kitchen, and replaced our front porch and steps. They worked efficiently and finished the whole project in 2 weeks, and on budget. Tomer was on site each day to ensure work was going as planned and helped us make design choices to work with our space and style. He was responsive to a few small changes we requested once we got started - it was clear he wanted to us to be happy, even if it meant spending a bit more time. I recently hired Tomer and his team to make a deck with privacy walls in our backyard. He was able to accommodate my quick timeline, and was in to start the work the week after I called him. You can see in the pictures below (sorry if they're sideways) what the backyard looked like on the first day when Tomer and his crew John and Ben put the foundations for the deck in. We were very pleased with the work that they did, going above and beyond what my initial expectations were. They closed in the deck on all sides, inset from my neighbors, put a door under the porch so I can use it for storage and had his plumber move my faucet so it comes out the back of the deck instead of right off the house. Tomer was able to create the slat design look that we wanted while also making sure we made choices that were safe and sturdy for long term use. I highly recommend the Living Construction team, they are all very friendly and trustworthy. Tomer knows his stuff and will be straightforward and was able to accommodate our time, budget and design choices, even with the obstacles of no parking in our neighborhood and no access to our backyard except through the house. Before the work started we met a few times with tal and tomer and the explained us everything that was going to happen and since we lived in the house during the month and a half the job took they planned to be as little inconvenient as possible. The work lasted exacthe time they promised. Tal and his team were on site every day for 10 hours a day, sometimes 7 days a week. We felt comfortable leaving them by themselves in the house as everyone who worked in our house was very nice. There were no hidden costs and they were very flexible with all our requests and whenever we wanted to make a change in the work plan tal sat with us and we discussed the best and least expensive option. They never pushed us or tried to add more costs.
We completely renovated all the washrooms, bedrooms and kitchen, and painted the whole house. Tal was a perfectionist and anything that wasn't done perfectly, even when we thought it was ok, was re-done. At the end our house looks like a model home thanks to them and within the planned budget, and all this thanks to them. We wouldn't hesitate to hire thrm again and already recommended them to a few people I know. More...

My partner and I are really glad that we hired Tomer and his team for this recent renovation. We asked for new cedar fencing, two patios, a pergola, curb stone to contain our backyard gardens, a stone path leading to the house, and for the front steps and railing to be redone. They delivered! We couldn't be happier with the work itself, but beyond that, his whole crew was polite, well coordinated and worked tirelessly through some of the hottest days of the summer. They had material drop offs and trash pickups planned at well timed intervals so that they never left the place a disaster for us or our neighbours. In fact, most of our neighbours have since commented on how impressed they were with both the work and the timeline they kept. It's worth noting that, even with such a large project, they finished on time for an outdoor party that we had planned. We used Living Construction to renovate 3 units in a rental property in May and June of 2013. The work was to renovate the kitchens and bathrooms in each unit, including all new tiling, cabinets, fixtures, etc. The work also included reconfiguring two kitchens and one of the bathrooms, and replacing the flooring in the living room and bedrooms of one unit.We mostly dealt with Tal, who did a lot of the work himself, plus coordinated the on site labour and plumbing sub trade. The work was done quickly and properly. We found Tal to be a hard working and trustworthy individual who cared about the job being done the right way. We were very happy with the end result as the work was done well and on time. The pricing was reasonable and we found Tal to be a fair and honest person to deal with. My downstairs shower had tiles coming off the wall, so I had Tal look at it to see what needed to be done. He told me what had to be done, once he took the tiles off the wall and that was to replace everything as there was mold and the wood had rotted. He suggested venting to the outside. He did a thorough job. He always showed up when he said he was coming and worked hard each day. He was easy to get along with and gave me some ideas about tile colour and size which was greatly appreciated. The shower looks really great and fits in so well with the existing bathroom. He also did a great job on the upstairs washroom floor, taking out the old linoleum one and replacing it with tile. He put my new vanity in and made sure the plumber had everything hooked up properly. For the 2 jobs, the price was very fair. Tal is a perfectionist and likes doing things right. I am so glad that I found him to do this work in my home, as I could let him in, in the morning and come back after work and he would clean up at the end of the day. He can be trusted. My wife and I just bought our first house, and the place needed a bunch of patching and a fresh paint job. A friend of ours recommended Tomer, who had just painted his basement. After getting three quotes Tomer's was the most affordable, and he also made us feel like he new what he was doing. Once the job started Tomer was extremely helpful in answering all of my questions about the house. As a first time buyer, I was totally in the dark about a lot, and Tomer patiently explained a number of things about the house, and gave some much needed advice. Tal is a fantastic guy to deal with. He’s honest, trustworthy relaxed and funny. We recently purchased a 4000sq ft house in rough shape. I tried to save money by finding trades for each job that was needed. Tal’s price substantially beat any price that I could find and I got many quotes. Having a professional like Tal look over several different trades was tremendously valuable. He has significant pull with all his trades to get things done because he gives them so much business.
