We have ordered from here through Skip the Dishes twice, and we have been impressed both times. The food is fresh and delicious, the portions are generous and the variety of the meze makes for meal that everyone enjoys. We love that it's a neighbourhood restaurant which makes delivery (via Skip) extra speedy. Keep up the great work! More...

Ordered this via Skip the Dishes. Best takeout we've ever had. The ingredients are super high quality, and they don't skip on the good stuff like feta and olives. Can't wait to order this food again! More...

Just had my first Little Village experience together my coworkers. It was amazing! The potatoes were the best I've ever had and lamb shank was so flavourful and fall-off-the-bone tender. My coworkers were raving about their food as well (meatballs, dips, spanakopita, salad). And the baklava was both delicious and very unique. The staff there were super friendly and nice too. We all agreed this is our new favorite local eatery. I can't wait to surprise my family with this one day after work. Thanks for everything Little Village! More...

They will cater... And actually Cater, not just make a bunch of lukewarm half hearted food, they go hard into the paint when they come out and don't cheese on Taziki sauce. .. I have a soft spot for Greek Restaurants, but so many have this inauthentic yogurt instead of actual tangy Taziki... This place does the Taziki right and its the little things that you notice that kind of provide leading indicators into how good the food will be, this place they don't skimp out on the small things, they do it all right. This is probably the only restaurant in the city that I have experienced in a Catered way rather than me going to their restaurant and sitting down, lots of people love this place and I imagine you will as well. Wow... Just, wow! I just ate lunch and normally I dwell on my opinion of the food for a little bit longer but wow. Little Village was by far the best Greek food I've had in Edmonton ever. And at the BEST price. I had the Lamb Shank with lemon potatoes , Keftades, Spanikopita, Baklava and of course Tazitki (2 containers) and it was all amazing. The lamb fell apart and off the fat perfectly and tastes unreal. Potatoes were soft but still firm enough to get into the Tazitki (which is to die for, I literally drank the second container of it) and the Keftades were so flavorful I HAD to share the last one so someone else beloved they were real. At the end the Baklava had a very refreshing flavour and felt great, perfect desert. Unreal job by the Chef, who I believe is the owner, and front of house staff. 10/10 will be back for lunch again. And possible dinner. More...

Everything about this place is the best. The amazing quality of their food is the reason they are now a regular stop for us when we need something quick for dinner. My toddler can't get enough of their Keftedes and Greek salad and my husband is obsessed with the ribs! They are a true gem to have in the neighbourhood and they never disappoint. More...

Very good Greek food. Loved the potatoes and had the meat ball pita sandwich and it was pretty good. Very good service. It's more of a take out place as it's pretty small. Reasonably priced.  I'll be back when in the area. More...

Little Village has been in our neighbourhood of Grovenor for some time but we never tried it despite a love of Greek Food.  We finally were motivated by two things.  First, the bizarre plan to destroy the Stoney Plain Road/149 St. area with an LRT overpass would also force Little Village to close or relocate, so we had to give it a try.  Secondly, my wife wanted moussaka for her birthday but her birthday fell the day before a religious holiday involving a lot of food.  Takeout moussaka would be a perfect fit.We scouted the Little Village a few days before the birthday to make sure that moussaka would be available and to see what the restaurant was all about.  The owner helped us plan the entire menu with suggestions for the size of salad and when to order the moussaka to be sure of getting what we wanted (order early).  The Little Village has a few places to eat in but they look grossly uncomfortable, especially for two elderly people with bad backs. On my wife's birthday, we called early, the owner remembered us and sounded happy to have our business - not an everyday experience for me when ordering takeout.  We picked up our order at 5:30 pm as we prefer to eat late.  Be warned that Little Village is in the same strip mall as some kind of fitness spa and the parking lot is full of badly parked urban luxury vehicles.  Why is it that patrons of fitness places seem to lack parking skills? When we finally sat down to eat in the comfort of our own home, we were delighted by our dinner.  The moussaka was 80% meat/eggplant/zucchini filling and 20% bechamel topping.  Our previous moussaka was in an very expensive restaurant and the proportions here reversed.  The lemon potatoes were made from small, tasty spuds with the skin left on, not a peeled boiled tasteless lump that often graces the table of Greek restaurants.  The Greek Salad was superb, perhaps needing a few more kalamata olives. but that's a matter of taste.  The baklava is like dying and going to Thessalonika, full of walnuts and sweet enough to rot your teeth with two mouthfuls.Be warned that portions are generous, also a rarity when the good is this good.  OK, there's no belly dancer, even if you eat in.  But in the grand scheme of things, that saves money as there's no need to put folding money in the dancer's belt.  We will go back again as, since our meal, it seems as if the city has given up on destroying our part of the city. If you've ever had the food from Little Village food truck you've met owner/operator Theo Psalios - the guy inside the truck that always greets you with a smile on his face. Theo brought Little Village to life in 2012 and has been serving up his take on Greek dishes ever since. Operating out of a food truck means food service is dictated by the weather, but now that Theo has a storefront where you can get a taste of Little Village any time of the year. Located along the hustle and bustle of Stony Plain Road, Little Village occupies a small, brightly lit space in a strip mall. A few seats are available for those who wish to dine-in, but Little Village primarily offers ready-made meals for take out. As you walk in you're greeted by large chalkboards and two glass displays with food ready for consumption. While the offerings have some overlap with the food truck (like the lamb sandwich and lemon potatoes), there are also a variety of classic Greek offerings like moussaka, pasticchio, and dolmades. The chalkboards outline the grilled/rotisserie meat, sandwich, and salad options, while the glass display cases are stocked full of cold side dishes and hot Greek classics. Prices are very reasonable given the quality of ingredients and convenience, so I may just find myself here quite often given the close proximity to my home. I stopped by with a friend on opening day and I knew I couldn't leave without my favourites - the roasted lamb and lemon roasted potatoes - so we picked up a 1/3 Lamb Shoulder ($14.75). All the rotisserie meats are served with a side of potatoes and tzatziki, rounding out the meal. The lamb had a beautiful crust, was well seasoned, and was fall-off-the-bone tender. The potatoes were soft and packed full of flavour, and everything together was a killer combination. The Lamb Gyro ($10.50) was also on my radar, stuffed with roasted lamb, vegetables, and herbs. The pita held up well to the combination of ingredients and was fairly filling, but I found myself wanting a side with it. Last but not least we picked up a portion of Moussaka ($6.50/slice), which I lovingly refer to as lasagna's eggplant cousin. The Little Village Moussaka is loaded with eggplant, tomato, ground beef, and creamy bechamel sauce. The mild flavours blend well together, and makes for pretty good comfort food. The food truck will still be found at the 124 Street Grand Market and various events around the city in the summer months, but now that Little Village is open, lemon roasted potato lovers can get their fix year round. Trust me, they're that good. Stop by and grab a bite Tuesday through Saturday, 11am - 6pm (530pm on Saturdays!). More...
