If you feel that you can not keep up with other members...this is the gym for you! It is a go at your own pace gym. If you are someone who doesn't feel they fit in this type of environment..this is the gym for you! The atmosphere is friendly, there are only good vibes. If you have questions about your abilities, exercises, meals, classes...etc..Trainers are there to answer any questions you may have. They are the ABSOLUTE BEST!! They are very accommodating! I joined Lift for the six week challenge with the aim of getting fit and losing weight. I’ve done many weight loss methods throughout the years, with uneven results. I’m happy with Lift because the workout classes are so different than anywhere else I have been. It’s not even like a class, it’s more of a “drop in” time where you go and follow the workout the trainer gives you at your own pace. I love that format because it gives you more independence but with support. I don’t feel like I have to keep up with a big group like I would in a boot camp style fitness class. I also like how I get a nutrition/accountability coach throughout my six week challenge, and they really help support you to figure out the meal plan. The meal plan is like no other “diet” I’ve experienced because it isn’t about calories or extreme concepts like zero carbs. It’s just simply being aware of your portion sizes and what ratio of the different types of foods you consume in a day (fats, proteins, carbs). I really like how I feel and look only five weeks in! I can’t wait to see how these habits continue even after the challenge. Thank you everyone at Lift for making weight loss completely manageable! This company will help you achieve your goals. Everything thats was keeping me from getting where I needed to be they had. The detox meal plan from the 6 week challenge although difficult for someone with a sweet tooth like me was still manageable, at no point did I feel like I was going hungry and the fruit helped with wanting sweets :). I never had to message Shania but she definitely would have cleared things up if needed. The trainers are amazing and the workouts they make are well structured and easy to follow. Jess' workouts were a lot to go through in 45 mins but she was very helpful and her bubbly personality made core and cardio very enjoyable (even with all her inch worms and ball passes :P ). Bryn and Micah's workouts were challenging in the best way (I mean it I'll miss the workout). If you enjoy more rock music while you workout Bryns evening classes are the ones you'll want to go to. All the trainers will work with you if there's something you can not do they will give you a modified version of the workout, so if you're worried about your knees or if you shouldn't or can't jump (like myself) or anything else of that nature do not let that stop you, this goes for if you want more of a challenge as well let them know and they will be happy to accommodate. Lastly I wanted to touch on the negative reviews I've read, although I am writing this review because the 6 week challenge is now over it is something I knew I would have to do because it is a part of the agreement you make when signing up for the 6 week challenge, so the people complaining about that aspect must not have read what they are signing up to (it's written in black and white). That being said I was not "forced" to leave a positive review nor do I feel like a negative review would impact my refund the above are my honest opinions and I am hoping to be able to return once I am back at work from maternity leave. As for the scheduling system, if you have a hard time signing into a class from the tablet and want to make sure you were signed in you have the tools to check all you need to do is check your attendance in the app you get. It's a great gym, and I look forward to going every day! I especially like the trainers, Jess, Micah, Bryn. They are right beside you supporting, helping if you like, just watching if you don't want corrections. As you get better at the assignments, the trainer makes it slightly more challenging. The concentration is on gaining strength, core ability, flexibility. I have heard lots of great compliments, no complaints. The only concern raised is the absence of detailed information when you first start. If you need that, and have never been to a gym/had a trainer, it's worth it to hire one of them to help you feel comfortable. Yes you can go to less expensive gyms; I did; I didn't go! Unfortunately I'm not at LIFT on a regular basis at the moment but it is by far the BEST gym I've ever been to! I can't wait to go back regularly. The staff is beyond amazing! The workouts are for any age and any level of fitness. Since joining Lift in January 2019, I have completed my initial 6-week challenge with success and two additional different challenges. Not only did I lose a considerable amount of weight, the health benefits were also an important change in my life. For once, I actually enjoy going to the gym! The accountability coaches (especially Brynn) are very supportive, encouraging, and facilitated a comfortable space to make sure everyone does the workouts at their own rhythm and needs. I signed up for the 6 week challenge program because I needed to kick start my fitness, just talking about it certainly was not working for me. I will be honest and say that for the first 2 weeks, I HATED the meal plan, then I asked questions and found out that the plan was very flexible, I could have a little potato for supper and not lunch. I struggled with the portion sizes( sometimes too much food )as well. With doing a little tweaking and a few 0% calorie salad dressings, I really began to enjoy eating properly, the protein shakes for mid morning and mid afternoon snacks were something that I looked forward to.The workouts were very enjoyable, the class sizes that I attended ( mostly at 11am ) were small and the instructors were knowledgeable and were quick to correct incorrect and as a result, ineffective postures. I found myself looking forward to going!! For the first time in many years I feel like I am back to feeling strong and back to a feeling of "my normal".I lost 16 lbs in 5 1/2 weeks and genuinely look forward to returning to this gym to have fun, stay accountable and on track. I just completed a 6 week challenge at Lift. Not only did I achieve my goal - which feels awesome! - but I have really enjoyed the unique atmosphere and positive, encouraging vibe that this gym offers. Having a chronic illness that is unpredictable and can leave me exhausted, I was really nervous to join. But I knew I had to do something! I'm not going to lie - the first workout was tough and the meal planning took some getting used to! But every exercise is adaptable and the coaches are wonderful and the fellow gym-mates are so encouraging that all nervousness disappeared after the first week. I saw myself improve so much in what I was able to do, I have more energy and strength and was able to lose 12 lbs and 6% body fat! My favorite place to be during the week ❤ The trainers are very warm and accomodating and love to push you to try new things. I work with a trainer one and one and she is PHENOMENAL! But I know the classes are really fun and inclusive too, just by being there so often. They really take care of their clients at Lift As someone who was new to the gym scene, I was really scared to even just try new things and learn how to use the equipment. But the people there are really down to earth and not at all judgemental, which I think is a big deterrent for some people when it comes to starting at the gym. I have really enjoyed the past 6 weeks at Lift. The workouts have all been very challenging and fun. I like the variety of classes available and there are plenty of times to fit any schedule. The coaches are great at explaining each exercise and workout, and all of the other people working out with you will make you feel at home and comfortable. You’ll never feel out of place here! Just completed their 6-week challenge for the second time. I lost 16lbs and almost 5% body fat in 6 weeks. More importantly, I've picked up a lot of good, healthy habits and my fitness level is much improved. I did this program a couple of years ago and had great results that time too. I stayed on as a regular member for quite a while but had to stop for a while for reasons that had nothing to do with the gym. I enjoy the classes and the instructors were very friendly and helpful. Of course if go long enough you are going to see the same exercises, but I have found that I will push myself much harder in the class than I ever would at home. The overall atmosphere is very welcoming and supportive. That's the biggest difference between coming here and other gyms. If you are a novice, you will feel much better working out here than anywhere else. When I got back from vacation after March Break I took a look at the scale and knew that I had to do something to get back to where I wanted to be. I saw an add on Facebook for a weight loss challenge at Life and it caught my eye. I had two friends who had joined earlier and they both loved their experiences. I was still hesitant to join but once I did I knew it was where I needed to be. The trainers are amazing! Over the entire 6 week challenge I never did the same workout twice. There is so much variety and they were always right there to encourage and offer advice when I needed it. The diet was much easier than I ever would have expected. I really wasn’t ever hungry and once I started meal prepping and pre-packing my food for the work week it was really easy! I’m really proud to say I successfully completed my Six Week Challenge at Lift last month. To be honest, I went in pretty blind, not knowing much about the program. I expected it to be pretty straight forward – workout, follow a meal plan, and hopefully lose some weight. And those expectations weren’t wrong…I worked out at Lift regularly, followed a super easy meal plan, and I lost 20 pounds!What I didn’t expect was the support, accountability, and fun that I experienced from day one. It’s not an exaggeration to say that the Lift Community is committed to supporting and celebrating one another. I experienced that right away from the trainers and members. Having to report in regularly to my accountability coach pretty much made it impossible to get off track. For me, that was key. And even though the workouts were challenging, I always had fun and felt like I belonged. That was something I never experienced at any other gym! Another thing I didn’t expect was the overwhelming sense of pride and accomplishment I felt when the challenge was completed… enough to keep me going! Not only was I able to hit the goals they set for me, I was able to hit some personal goals I made prior to starting this program. The meal plan was easy to follow and they provide you with support you need to be successful. My favourite part was being able to be apart of the 6am crew for my time at the gym. Steph always pushed me to do the best I could and the people in the program are amazing support. I recently completed a 6 week challenge with LIFT and absolutely loved their gym! Over the last 2 years I had noticed my physical strength and endurance decline. I work in a physical field and decided that it was time to improve my fitness if not for myself but so I remain capable to do my job. In the 6 weeks at lift, I lost 10lbs and 5% body fat. I feel much stronger, especially in my legs and have tons more energy. The trainer at lift are amazing and extremely welcoming. They have tons of suggestions of how to alter the exercises for in my case when I hurt my back shoveling snow. Before LIFT personal fitness I had no physical activity in my life, no experience with strength training and a very unhealthy relationship with going to the gym. I joined the 6 week challenge because I was motivated to change my lifestyle habits but no idea how to do it on my own. In 6 weeks I am down 10.4lbs and 5% body fat, but more important to me than any number is how good I'm feeling! I can't get over how much strength I have gained in a short 6 weeks. I went from only getting through 1/3 of my first workout to being able to get through the whole workout AND the bonus easily.. and upping my weights week by week! The workouts always challenged me to push harder in a fun, no-pressure way. For the first time in my life I got EXCITED to go to the gym and get active.The family atmosphere at the gym is great. I have never felt comfortable in a gym in the past, but felt comfortable and welcomed from day 1 from both the staff and other members at LIFT. There is no judgement, only members encouraging and lifting each other up as they move towards their goals at their own pace. I recently completed a 6 week challenge at Lift Personal Fitness, and I’m so glad I signed up! Adjusting to the meal plan and workouts was a bit tough at first. I probably wouldn't have done it on my own, but being part of the supportive LIFT community made the lifestyle changes a lot easier. I really enjoyed the classes and found the trainers to be personable and motivating. As a bonus, I learned a lot of new exercises I can do when I'm stuck at home, and the equipment I inherited when a friend moved away is no longer gathering dust in the corner. I also got great results at LIFT - I met my challenge goal and then some, which I would never have been able to do on my own in just 6 weeks. I participated in the 6-week transformation challenge and have never felt better! Trainers at Lift helped me reach my fitness goal! I had a wonderful experience the past six weeks at Lift. The staff are friendly and very approachable. They never made me feel bad about asking them to demonstrate the exercises multiple times and then still needing to correct my posture and form.I beat my goal (of losing 15 pounds) in four and a half weeks and lost an extra three pounds by the end of the six week program. Following the meal plan is not hard but breaking my bad habits of eating out and succumbing to social pressure was hard. Having the set list of what I could eat was so helpful while not overly restrictive and thankfully my accountability coach and other staff gave me great pointers. There were times during the six weeks that I felt extremely busy (as I am in law school) but being on a plan encouraged me to do something active and stick to the diet. I am a great believer that exercise and eating well is good for your mind and body and I feel that I am more productive and happier. I am very grateful to Silas for this opportunity to learn about what I should be eating and showing me what is possible, to Micah for being a wonderful trainer, and to Caitlyn for her persistence. The staff at Lift Fitness are extremely caring. My experience with them has been nothing but positive. From the challenging workouts, to the coaching... you just know that they want you to succeed. I can still remember a moment when one of the trainers challenged me to improve my form. If you’re thinking about getting in shape, loosing weight or just want to be physically active in a welcoming and fun group environment check out LIFT Personal Fitness! They have excellent staff and coaches and are always willing to help and give you feedback on your training, nutrition, motivation etc. They will set you up with a meal plan and a training program to reach your goals. They will also check on you to make sure you’re sticking to the plan. I just finished their 6 week challenge. My goal was to lower my body fat index by 5% and I did it! For me, the nutritional education was key as I never paid much attention to meal planning and preparation. If they are still offering the 6 weeks challenge I highly recommend it, especially if you’re new to the gym environment and need guidance to get you started. I joined the 6 week challenge with Lift and was able to beat my goal with the help of the trainers’, nutrition plan and support from other members. I found signing up for a class time a way to hold me responsible and committed to that workout. The trainers are always available to ask questions if you need a workout explained. If you are nervous about not being able to do all that is required don’t worry about it. The Trainers will also assist you at your level even if it means modifying an exercise so you still work that target area. I will not say that this was an easy task but the results did come. I can’t say I have ever been able to lose weight and through my 6 weeks at lift I reached my target goal and even more impressive in my opinion Silas was able to calculate that out of the weight I lost 15LBS of that was actual FAT! I just finished my 6 week challenge with LIFT Personal Fitness and proud to say I won the challenge. 20.6 pounds down, 13.8 pounds of body fat lost. This challenge gave me a chance to take a risk on myself and from that gave me a whole new perspective on myself. It was worth every moment, every workout, and every meal. I started the 6 week challemge at Lift wondering if indeed it could be possible. The meal plan was easy to follow and the classes were amazing. I went to the 6am class for 6 weeks and kept stricktly to the meal plan. I was feeling better and healthier and started working out on my off days as well to maximize chance of hitting 25lbs lost in 6 weeks! The staff was great. Stephanie the trainer for the 6am class was fantastic and always pushed you to were you could be even if you didn't think you could. There was always alternate excersises if you couldnt do one for whatever reason.In the end. After 6 weeks of hard work. I lost 29.4lbs. 20lbs was straight fat. Down 2% body fat. I just finished my 6 week challenge and was told at the beginning that they believed I could lose 25lbs. With the excellent meal plan that Lift provided and 3 classes a week for the 6 weeks that they ask you to attend, I managed to lose 29.4lbs!!! The first couple classes I found a little discouraging, only because the exercises are written on the board and you go to it. I felt like a lost puppy following the trainers around asking what each exercise was, but every trainer that I had the pleasure of working with, was very helpful, and didnt seem to mind my constant questions, and I didnt feel discouraged for very long.The meal plan was very easy to follow, they even supply you with an online recipe book, which I did try some and they were delicious.Thank you Silas and Amy for a great experience, and for helping me prove to myself that I do have the willpower and determination to have a healthy lifestyle. These past is weeks at LIFT personal fitness have been nothing short of amazing. They’ve been six of the most difficult yet rewarding weeks, I found motivation and confidence I never realized I had. LIFT gave me the tools to finally go after the healthy life I have desired for so long. Not only were the workouts exactly what I needed, they’re high intensity, fun, and group oriented (while still being able to focus on my individual workouts). The meal plan was surprisingly delicious although very intense, but it was exactly what I needed. Over the past six-weeks I successfully completed the challenge! I participated in the 6-week challenge with LIFT Personal Fitness in which I participated in three group sessions per week and followed a prescribed meal plan. My review will focus solely on what I experienced within the scope of said program.My overall summary of LIFT is that it is an excellent gym for beginner and intermediate clients that are looking to have a bit of basic guidance as they learn to settle into a new routine. For those intending to build raw strength or participating in body building/power lifting, this program may be too basic for your needs, however after a discussion with the owner I have been informed that their personal training options may be suitable.The greatest value gained from the 6-week challenge was having an accountability coach that I could message throughout the program. My accountability coach was excellent for discussing my options as I progressed, particularly when I went off of my meal plan and ate a great deal of sushi for a social gathering and needed to get back on track.Pros:- Great patron culture. Experienced members are warm and welcoming to newcomers, offering advice and encouragement where appropriate. It is not uncommon to not know what a given exercise is by name when you are new, so it is a great help to have experienced people that volunteer to demonstrate- Friendly, approachable staff. Though I did not get to meet all of the trainers, I can say I had a positive experience training with Jessica and Caitlyn. They offered great advice and support along my journey, and they were quick to step in if they noticed faults in my form. They were also so kind as to offer more difficult alternatives when I found some of the exercises too basic for my needs.Cons:- Post-program weight fluctuations. The 6-week challenge itself is targeted towards people that want to rapidly lose weight. The unfortunate thing about the program is that it is not sustainable The majority of the weight lost will be from carb reduction causing a decreased store of glycogen/water weight. This weight will be largely regained once they begin eating an average diet, however the inclusion of the post-program meal plan may address this.- Pricing. I personally found the packages offered to be far beyond what I feel comfortable spending for a gym of this caliber and target market, however that is not to say it would not be worth it for others. Where much of the group exercise classes are bodyweight focus I feel that I will not get enough benefit from the classes to justify the expense vs a home workout- Communication/limited staff. LIFT is a small business at this stage, and as such they tend to have a minimal amount of staff on duty. I have regularly found that the phone goes unanswered and curious customers coming in from off the streets or folks arriving for an appointment were not met in a timely manner as the only folks on staff were preoccupied with their primary duties. The management of LIFT also appears to be a two-person team, so understandably they are limited in how quickly they can respond to inquiries on their email and social media platforms. More...

I absolutely loved doing the six week challange here. The workouts work with whatever level of fitness you are at and the meal plan gave me many good food options and was a wonderful help! Came here for a 6-week challenge - lose 25 pounds in 6 weeks. I was overweight and starting to feel the effects, so I decided to accept the challenge and get myself in shape. I was provided a meal plan, accountability, group training classes, and access to the gym when I needed. The folks at LIFT have been amazing, both in providing much needed encouragement as well as correction in my training. Also, a special shout-out to the LIFT community. The people here are inspiring, and they have great meal ideas! In the end, I lost 30 lbs in my 6 weeks, and I couldn't be happier! If you're motivated, you can beat the challenge, too! I went to Lift because I saw their advertising about the 6-week challenge and wanted to give a try to this gym. It was great experience, their group classes are excellent and the staff is great.In less than 6 weeks I had great results, I did not need to lose too much weight but during the program I managed to lose a few pounds (16), reduce my body fat in 8% and improve my fitness a lot. For me that included the punching bag in the back of the room. They spare no expense on air conditioning, equipment, and great atmosphere. Finished and more than succeeded at their 6 week challenge. Great atmosphere. Coaches are on hand for all classes to help explain exercises and push you in the work out. The diet plan was simple for me to follow but allowed complexity if you had the time to do it ( I did not have time to get complicated hah). I lost 28.8 lbs in 6 weeks and feel great. Every gym has weights, equipment, and a cold fountain. What makes one gym stand out from the rest is the staff. In that regard, LIFT truly shines. Silas is a very friendly and knowledgeable owner. He will go out of his way to make sure that you are on track and focused on your goals. The trainers are also very helpful and approachable. They ensure that you fully understand an exercise when they explain it to you. It is obvious that they have passion for their work, and are not just going through the motions. I lost 20lbs in the past 6 weeks on the plan from LIFT. I've cut this amount of weight in the past, however, this time it was a breeze and was actually enjoyable. It's more than just a meal plan and workout schedule. The staff is with you every step of the way, holding you accountable towards your goals and providing you with advice and words of encouragement. I can't help but smile every time I enter the gym, because it is such a welcoming atmosphere. I recently finished the 6 week challenge and I am so happy with my results. I lost 6,4% body fat and I'm astounded at how much my body has really transformed. Following the meal plan wasn't always easy, but I was never hungry as you eat so much protein and it's for a relatively short amount of time. The best part was absolutely going to the group workouts. Everyone there is very welcoming and encouraging. I loved every session with Steph, although my body was extremely sore the first week. There was so much variety in the exercices to keep it interesting, and Steph always knew how to push me when I didn't think I could do it. I highly recommend this program! Well, I took the challenge and in 6 short weeks, lost 28.8 lbs and 5.8% BF. I could not be more pleased with the results and personal changes I have felt and seen. I am 53 and once again have achieved a fitness level that keeps me energized and off the couch. I truly believe that Silas and Amy have developed a very effective way to help us achieve our personal fitness goals. My results can attest to that. I must admit though, I did have my doubts in the beginning, and just prior to my first session had concerns about group size (up to 14) and being able to catch on and receive guidance when needed. Well, one session took all fears away. A big Shout Out to Caitlyn, Jess T and Jess B and of course Stephanie. Be there only 4 of us, or 14 of us in the gym, your attentiveness made it feel like we each had a personal trainer. Thank you for keeping me on track.
