The service is consistently rapid, great mood, helpful employees. I will visit here again when I am in the area.
The spot is awesome and spacious, the food was delightful and the rates were very reasonable. quick, efficient service and very welcoming staff. Highly recommended.

Good service, and awesome food.
Great brunch food, great ambiance and atmosphere. Dinner food isnt as captivating as breakfast/brunch but still good.
Such a wonderful meal as always. I've been a number of times over the years and will continue going back for many more. There are few great French restaurants in Toronto but this is one of the best. Service, quality, food, flavours, variety, and atmosphere are all top. It's certainly is a must go place in Toronto. More...
C'est magnifique!Sitting outside on their back patio is great. It's quiet and secluded with a great atmosphere.
Fantastic brunch at the cutest place ever! Gorgeous patio, I felt like I was in France! The french toast was TO DIE FOR and I loved the imported cider from Normandy. Definitely need to come back for dinner, the rest of the menu looked incredible. My boyfriend had the croque madame (not pictured) and it was huge and a flavour overload! He definitely made the right choice, it was so hard to decide! More...
We had our small reception here. Received many compliments from guests on food and atmosphere.
Best patio. Great service time and again. Attentive to dairy/nut allergies, and rather knowledgeable of every ingredient in their dishes. Petit filet mignon, onion soup, moules á la Provençal, Cotês de Provence rosé & tartare de saumon. Creme brûlée. More...
We went at Le Select several times: the food and wines were always very good. Service is very good as well and the atmosphere is very pleasant.
The perfect classic French bistro for brunch. The eggs benny are on a croissant and their fries are to die for. The free parking in the pack is the icing on the cake
Wonderful, classic French bistro, always a pleasure to visit
It's been more than a year since we were last here, but it's as good as ever. Pleasant service and excellent food. Altogether a delightful lunch.
Amazing place.. friendly stuff with amazing food and drinks selection. We came for brunch on Sunday and we ordered different plates and everyone was satisfied with his order.. I completely recommend the omelette and egg Benedictbut order it with salmon as it doesn’t come with salmon More...

Love the food, the ambience. A neighborhood gem!
Love this spot! Have been many times, great menu and atmosphere!
What a wonderful surprise this Alsatian bistro was! A great place to spend a leisurely brunch on a Saturday afternoon. Delightful French-speaking staff, and food was top notch. On a warm day, ask to be seated in the back... you would swear you were in Europe. Massive healthy portions and very good value for money, for food made with great care and passion. Don't miss the "library" of wine proudly on display on your way to the washrooms downstairs! More...
Best breakfast in the city!
Absolutely fabulous! Service is prompt and friendly, wine list is HUGE and the food is just beautiful. Excellently executed, will be going here again.
Very attractive decor.Interesting menu.Good size portions.Very friendly staff.
I don't know a lot about French food in general, but I really enjoyed my experience here. The food, the ambience, the music played (although my French date heavily disagreed on this). Reminded me of having dinner in a cute Parisian restaurant. If I can break it down, I'd rate the food 3 stars and the ambience/service 4 stars. For food/drinks, here's what we had: 1) Bouillabaise à la rascasse - Which is a very intense soup with some seafood items in it. Although for the price, I would hope there's more than 1 scallop, 1 mussel, some fish pieces and lots of croutons. I did enjoy the flavor though. 2) Steak Frite - it came in a form of a burger, which is very unexpected. I didn't have any of it, but my date didn't enjoy it very much. 3) Assiette De Fromage - of course going on a date with a French, you'd end the course with the cheese platter! I really enjoyed the platter, and loved all the cheese we had, which are all from Quebec and Ontario! I also really liked the fact that they had honey comb as a side. Definitely a plus there! All in all, I'd probably be back for a quick drink/snack but most probably not for the main course. More...
Stellar wine list - classic French bistro cuisine with flare. Bright patio for the summer and a spacious Paris style bar. Great for slow lunch and dinner dates.
Went to the bistro for date night. It’s one of our favourite downtown restaurants. It’s a Toronto restaurant landmark for sure. We both had the endive salad and then resorted to our favourite dishes, Mussels w/frites and Duck. They were both delicious as usual. Our server was refreshing friendly and prompt. Great to have an established goto restaurant in the city that keeps on giving great quality food.m&r More...
Special occasion restaurant with tasty French cuisine. They have limited but decent options for veg eaters. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Portions are small but the food is rich. Larger men in our party thought the risotto size wasn't enough. Had the sweet potato croquettes. You need an app salad to get enough food. French onion soup was a disappointment, too much cheese and not enough onion More...
Fantastic experience! Went for a brunch with a party of three; it was a wonderful experience. Food was tasty and rich (though we wished there was more of it), the wine list was incredibly impressive, and the atmosphere was wonderful. Maybe it was due to it being a busy brunch shift, or maybe the server was new, but our server seemed a bit flustered/was not incredibly attentive/not very informed of the menu. But other than the service experience it was a great brunch. I will probably dream of that goat cheese and herb omelette in the weeks to come. More...
Great food and service every time we go
Classic, elegant, and above all, consistent. Le Seléct never disappoints.
The food is nice and the people are awesome
My favorite French restaurant in the city. Makes you feel like you are back in Paris. The staff is always polite and knowledgeable about the menu. Tried the Steak Tartare for the firs time and it was heavenly. Although, I wish they would bring back the traditional escargot (instead of the puff pastry). Keep it simple. That's what makes this place so great. Classic French and Consistent. More...
Highly recommend the deer with red wine sauce and braised cabbage, it was incredibly tender. The duck liver parfait and house bread with butter were also soooooo good. My friend got the house speciality of pork, sausage, and cabbage... didn’t really enjoy it as it was rather bland even with the mustard provided separately. More...
Excellent food. Got to meet the chef Laura and what a cool conversation about the meal I had and how she created her dishes with such cool unique food choices and locations.

Beat coffee in toronto
Great place for any meals of the day, including brunch during the weekend. French ambiance as in Lyon’s restaurants with a terrasse in front of the restaurant. Servers take good care of you and give you two types of menu: a 58-page-wine-menu, only paid by the bottle, and the à la carte menu, where you can order wine by glasses, and beers. Family oriented on weekends out of peek hours.Beef tartare is delicious topped with some pistachio, sitting near drops of homemade mayonnaise with a side of a sort bread/biscotte, and fries on another plate ($19.95). 5oz glass of red wine from Château de l’Éspérance, considered as a premium wine on the à la carte menu ($15.75). The combination of tartare and that wine is flavourful. The little plate is for bread like in French restaurants.Île flottante is one of the classic French dessert. This one is smooth and creamy topped with salted pearl caramel on a side of fresh raspberries, and floating on a crème anglaise ($12.95). Always take a dessert wine with any dessert dish, Sauternes is my great advice for all of you who wish to eat pastry at home with close ones, because it is sweet and fruity, and goes well with all kind of dessert, or by itself. Here it is, served in a 2oz glass fresh Sauternes from Château Filhot ($14).Go for it, you won’t be disappointed. Free wifi! More...
Good food, good service. I like the atmosphere. Sophisticated crowd without the pompous attitude you'll find in Yorkville. Been a couple times now and can never go wrong . More...
Great foods and beautiful ambiance.
What a lovely feeling of being apart from the rest of the world hidden behind large navy umbrellas beyond the awning on a breezy summer night.A scrumptious meal was being served with a comforting musical backdrop of patrons' chatter and cutlery clatter, an amazing fondant au chocolat to slowly melt on the tongue.A seize the day moment More...
Excellent lunch! Quiche and salad and a nice glass of wine!
Every dish at the place is an absolute pleasure
Service was good, as was the breakfast. The portions are a bit small for the price but the ambiance was lovely and their baked goods were absolutely delicious.
Exquisite food, authentic French taste (and I am French:-). Impressive wine choice.
Small menu but a huge wine selection, the quality of the food was top notch.

Went to a special event here in the back and everything was delicious. Will definitely be back.
Always Amazing dining experience ..15 years or more never disappointed
Coming here was a long time coming. Excellent patio. The wine list is a sight to behold.
Rehearsal dinner was a hit!
Always our favorite.
This is located on a side-street that isn't too difficult to find. The ambience and decor is quite romantic. The place does fill up so I recommend making a reservation.Let's start with wine. We ordered a 2014 Domaine Vincent Paris Cornas Granit 30, which was smoky and juicy with a nose of blueberries. After two attempts to order a wine, the manager came back to say each time that our selected wine was not available. After the second attempt, the manager came back with two comparable wines to the one which we originally selected. And the manager made sure our appetizers were free of charge even without us showing any signs of frustration which was an admirable quality. To start, we ordered French onion soup and a vol-au-vent d'escargots to start. For the French onion soup, the cheese was amazing, the bread was crispy, and the soup was rich. For the vol-au-vent d'escargots, the puff pastry was delightfully creamy and flaky, and the escargot was rich in flavour. For our mains, we got a plate of paleron de boeuf bourguignon and a plate of moules à la provençale. The beef was nice and tender with a light red wine sauce. And the mussels were tender with a rich and creamy flavour. For dessert, we ended with a cheese platter with four kinds of cheese paired with a glass of Graham's 10-year Old Tawny Port and a 20-year old glass, too. It was quite delightful.Overall, this places offers excellent wine and food and an excellent dining experience. I'd recommend going here if you are seeking French food, especially since the price is very reasonable given the exceptional quality. More...
We have been going to le Select for 40 plus years. Always had a lovely meal and wonderful service. Bravo.
A real french bistro
Great service. Flexible. Lovely patio. Parking is a bonus.
Good food, good service.Reasonable prices. Family likes to eat here.
My favourite place for French food in the city
The best restaurant in Toronto. I would eat everything on the menu in a heartbeat.
I went with my gut, and came in. it was great!
I have been to Le Select numerous times, but last night was the first time as a large group. Everything was exceptional, from the service to the food and drinks. My entire team was beyond pleased and that's not an easy task to accomplish. The french onion soup is a must-have! Certainly the best in Toronto. I will absolutely be back. More...
Not perfect, but excellent for the price point. Had the duck confit, two legs. Duck was flavorful, tender, not too dry, flaking off the bone with crisp skin. The skin could have been crispier, and it could use more sauce. However for the price it was great. Side vegetables were ok. So were the potatoes More...
Fantastic pricing for a French restaurant, a great option for business lunches

Best French restaurant in Toronto. Love BYOB
Good food, service and interior.
This is my go-to for a downtown French Bistro. The patio is open and the food and service are delightful!
Excelent French atmosphere
Great classic french cuisine with exceptional service.
Easily my favorite French restaurant in Toronto. And I'm French...
Amazing atmosphere, very french, accompanied by great french food. Had a three course chef's special meal. The waiter was really nice and substituted dessert for half a dozen PEI oysters.
Great food and service.
Been going there for 20 years. Always great food, good service. Definitely typical French Bistro.
I visited Le Select Bistro with my Mom and sister for Mother's Day lunch. Our waiter Marco was polite and professional and served us quickly and efficiently. I ordered the French Toast and it came with caramelized apples and creme fraiche. Everything was fresh and very tasty. Coffee was excellent and I had more than my share of refills. I highly recommend Le Select Bistro for wonderful, relaxed and pleasant French dining. Thank you Le Select Bistro for a lovely Mother's Day! More...

Food is good, atmosphere is good. After came back from Montreal I feel like I still wanna eat French food so I came here. French food is so addictive. Not that expensive as other French restaurants in Toronto and Montreal. In addition I didn't see any plastic straws here which is very good More...
Fantastic food and wine perfect place for a date night
What a fantastic restaurant. I would highly recommend dining here. Although the food was spectacular from first course to dessert and the wine selection was vast, the service was impeccable.

A real French Bistro taste in Toronto. Great menu. Great service.
Fantastic staff and great food.
I love to go to Le Select for a nice dinner with friends or family - it’s a perfect combination of classy but still accessible. It’s well priced for fantastic food and it’s not overly trendy so I feel I can take my parents there without them feeling out of place or being annoyed with blasting music. The service is always top notch, one of the best in the city for sure. Also, they have a great selection of food for everybody’s taste, so you don’t have to worry about dietary restrictions or veggie options if you’re going with a larger group. I love the duck and the steak frites, as well as their charcuterie boards. And their deserts are all amazing!!!! Le Select is just a classic gem, reliably great every time. More...
Great French food spot. Up beat, not too pretentious.

Great steak tartare
Scallops were delicious! LeSelect feels like Paris in Toronto for sure, great location and service too.
WOW! The atmosphere is amazing from right when you walk in. The menu is spectacular it was very hard to pick what to eat. The onion soup was to die for, the cheese was life changing. The open kitchen in the basement was amazing as well - it was cool to walk down and look. I was surprised by how well priced everything was. An amazing dining experience More...
It’s more 3.5 than 4 but I averaged up. Decent French restaurant, certainly above average in terms of ambiance, service and food. I had the lamb which was pretty good but was a bit pricey for what you get. The risotto my friend got was really good though. Nice pairing with the sauvgnion blanc. (If you found this useful please like :) thanks! More...

מסעדה צרפתית טובה,
The food is sooooo good and the ambience is really cute. The eggs Benedict on a buttery croissant is just heaven. The poached eggs on ratatouille with yummy bread to sop up the juices is delicious. We also got two macarons for dessert. Highly recommend More...
My boyfriend and I went for brunch on a weekday... They only have brunch on weekends (whoops). We ordered a lot. All the food was great. The duck was not the most memorable so I wouldn't recommend it but the cheese plate had a wide selection. The steak tartare was amazing. The foie gras was cold and buttery with a delicious jam. To be honest our favorite were the macaroons which were passion fruit and had a delicious lemon zing. Our waitress was super polite and funny. She also always asked to refill our coffees exactly when we ran out. More...

One of my favorite places in Toronto. Excellent french bistro with reasonable prices.
This is one of my favourite spots in town. Every time I come here I get a consistently good experience.
The decor of this place is really nice, feels very cozy. I had the French onion soup and the beef bourguignon and they were both amazing!
Love this place
Ambiente, Presentación, Sabor, Servicio Excelentes, Atmósfera General muy buena. Regresaré sin duda.
Amazing food and service! Best french restaurant in the city.
Delicious french food. Reasonable prices. Very happy.
Excellent food and wine! Service was greatDownside...... there was none
High level of professionalism and courtesy with the perfect French decor. French onion soup is to die for. Somehow it's well soaked and crispy bread underneath a stretchy cheese. Duck confit was also perfectly cooked and incredibly tender with a light and rich sauce. Relaxed with a la fin du monde and great conversations with coworkers. It's a fairly large space but getting a reservation is recommended. More...
Food and service was sheer perfection...our waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable .
Delicious food. Excellent service and bistro vibe. You can hear the chef yelling orders! I recommend to anyone visiting Toronto.
Great French dining. Classic Parisian cafe ambiance.
Great atmosphere and food is definitely above average. I personally think the mushroom risotto is a bit over creamy but apart from that everything is beautiful. The waitress is very lovely! And we both loved the dessert the floating island. More...
Lovely place, Great food!
I've wanted to try Le Sélect Bistro for a while now, and it was well worth the wait. I had the duck confit for the very first time, and it was simply magnificent. Flavours were absolutely delightful and everything was beautifully cooked, though the portion was very small. The atmosphere is very classy, yet warm and inviting without being pretentious. I cannot speak about other dishes, but if you are expecting to be full with one leg of duck confit, then you will be disappointed in that respect. However, the superb quality of the food and overall experience are worth the money. More...
From the call to make the reservation, all the way thru the meal the experience is always exceptional. I always wish more restaurants would be more like Le Select as it's been the same excellent place my entire life
Their service is very professional and their French Onion Soup is amazing! I don't get a chance to stop by very often, but it's a great place to visit when in the area!
Great experience, again! Already for the 4th visit (now for my mom's birthday) and every time both food and service were great! The peppercorn steak I had was amazing (the brandy and green peppercorn cream gave a special taste to the my medium cooked meat) with the fries exactly as expected (thin and crispy on the outside, just soft on the inside), the boeuf bourguignon my daughter had was literally melting in your mouth and the choucroute garnie my wife had was also great! The appetizers were excellent (endive salad, onion soup, Fogo Island cod whipped, escargots) and the desserts great as well (beside the lemon tart and flourless chocolate cake we had already before, they added a poached pear in Malbec wine with vanilla ice cream and on the side with warm dark chocolate that was poured over the pear and ice cream when served - amazing combination!). Service was top - attentive but not intrusive; one of our other guests in our party of 7 didn't quite like the house salad she ordered but didn't want to mention it; the hostess just noticed that and brought the soup of the day (not to be charged) so the guest can have another option (which she ended up liking it). Everything made us happy to be there and looking forward to the next time! More...
Love this place, always make sure to stop in when I'm in town!

Amazing food and wine selection, with attentive staff and a very cozy atmosphere
Good food, with great service. Very pleasant place to enjoy a causal, but refined french meal. Also a good date place.
Decent food and service. Had the eggs bene for brunch, which was cooked perfectly and matched wel with the grilled asparagus.
I've visited Le Sélect once for dinner and once for brunch with friends celebrating a birthday. The space is beautiful and the service is excellent. The menu has a few vegetarian options but trickier being vegan here as expected with French cuisine. They boast an extensive wine list with a wine for everyone. More...
Fantastic. Tried the seared foie gras (one of the best things I've ever tasted), escargots vole au vent, the choucroute plate and the duck confit, finishing with the creme brulee. All were excellent but the star for me was that seared foie, followed closely by the confit. The choucroute was also very good but I grew up on northern Italian cuisine so it was almost underwhelming as I've been a little spoiled growing up with my grandmother cooking similar dishes that probably weren't quite as good but comparable. The staff was fantastic, and gave us a congratulatory two glasses of champagne for our anniversary. Pricey for sure, but we left very full and satisfied, and I like to treat myself once a year - it was well worth it. More...

Amazing food, great atmosphere and excellent service, a hidden gem
Both the service and the food was fantastic
I haven't eaten at Le Select since it was up on Queen St, but the ambience is still there and the food was excellent. I had steak au poivre which was perfect, and the seafood was wonderful. Definitely try the smoked whitefish terrine to start, it's amazing. My only complaint was super disinterested service, which surprised me given the overall quality and price of the food. It wasn't very busy, but it took ages for anyone to even show up at our table, and we pretty much had to wave her over every time we wanted to order, or even get the bill. In fact, we had to ask her twice for the bill! So I appreciate they're not rushing you through, but it did mean you were sitting around for a long time with empty glasses or plates. Still, I'd go back again, hopefully with a different server!**Update. I received a very kind and thoughtful reply from Le Select about this experience, which I appreciated and tells you something about their commitment to service overall. As I say, I'd go back again! :-)** More...
Fantastic food yet a neighborhood feel.
Pricey but worth it
I've always wanted to try this place as it looks so cute and has a beautiful patio. I popped in (it was winter and the patio wasn't open) and tried the oysters, pate and beet salad and I can say they were all very nice. I'd go again. Just expect to spend some time here. Also, I enjoyed the French speaking host. More...
I was thoroughly impressed with the decor and when the food arrived it only set the bar even higher. The authenticity of French cuisine here is as if you had been taken to Paris France and then back. best brunch place with friends
Very flavourful, very aromatic, simply the best French food I had in the city
I went there for lunch on a weekday. We made online reservation but we would have been fine even if we did not; they had quite a few tables available. Having never been to France, I can not comment on the authenticity of the food but I had the French onion soup and if they don't make it that way in France, they really do need to because it was absolutely amazing. The complementary bread was fresh and delicious. So was the butter it was served with. Also ordered a fish hot d'oeuvre. It was really good too. The servers were polite and friendly and the ambience was really soothing. I have already recommended it to everyone at work and will be going back soon. :) More...

Meal was good. They gave us lots of time at the table. Didn't offer us bread. We had to ask for it. Slow with getting the cheque. Was extremely busy night however.
Love this place. I have been coming for years. Wait staff are generally all amazing minus one or two
Excellent restaurant for classic French cuisine!
I love the service and the wine list!!!!! Never go without ordering a cheese plate and a « pavé de bœuf (sauce au poivre) »You should be full but if you can handle dessert go for it, it’s the only place I know so far who has the « Île flottante » on the menu!Always been one of my top 5 restaurants in Toronto More...
Our favorite place in the city. Consistent, delicious, cozy, great service. Have been coming her for a decade and it just never fails to deliver.
Start with the foie Gras and a sauternes, it's amazing. We had the duck confit and the house speciality - Choucroute Garnie. Both were fantastic but the duck is some of, if not the best in the city. Too many great desserts to choose from but I'll definitely have the creme brule next time. The ambiance, service and decor makes it easy to say we're coming back again and again. Food was very good and not too expensive but the service was lacking... I also heard the table next to us also complained about the service among themselves... Beau petit Bistro avec un menu typique français, avec une bonne sélection de bières, vins et cognacs!
Good food but not for the budget minded. Unless of course your budget is over $200 for dinner and drinks...
I loved sitting at the bar and enjoying my meal. The food was very good. The wine list was extensive. Very lovely jazz music and excellent service. Great place. I'll be back.
Excellent brunch. Place was packed, but fortunately we had made reservations. Nice atmosphere and friendly service. Worth going to. Typical French fare.
Great brunch and very French. Love it!
Nice french restaurant, recommended
Classic French resto in the heart of downtown Toronto. If you love duck or lamb, this place is for you.
Liked it but didn’t love it. Went on a Saturday and was a little bit bummed out that they do a brunch only menu on the weekends. Wish regular lunch/dinner menus were available. My lamb burger was delicious and so was the croissants but the place is a bit too loud for my taste and service also wasn’t the best. More...

I've always enjoyed the meals here. Flawless
If you miss having authentic onion soup
I had the duck confit and everything about it was great. The duck was amazing, the potatoes and vegetables were delectable. I paired this dinner with a glass of Merlot as well. For dessert, I had an espresso with creme brulee which was really good This place is on the pricey side, but well worth the money spent. The atmosphere was good as well.Overall, worth the visit, in my opinion. More...
Enjoyed Le Select Bistro's dinner the other night. Cut ambiance although the hostess tried to seat us right between two other couples in a tight seating section and I politely asked about the other half of the restaurant which was pretty much empty; after asking she did re-seat us in a quieter spot. I have no idea how that pre-seating arrangement suggestion from the hostess came about. I had the Foie Gras which was pretty nice, the Escargots in the pasty (great sauce), Cuissot de Chevreuil (red deer haunch served rare which was also delicious), and the dessert was okay (we had the Gateau a la courge and it was the orange/grand marnier sauce that was too tarte....although fortunately the sauce was just poured aside off of the pastry onto the plate so you can avoid most of the tart sauce if that is what you fancy like myself). I would come back and recommend for a French cuisine More...
Loved the food, atmosphere, everything! Everything was very fresh and delicious.
Took my mom and sister there over the holidays and it was an excellent choice. Nice cozy atmosphere, great customer service and the food was delicious. We shared the Fois Gras and all three of us did the Prix Fix Menu which is an excellent deal considering it’s regular portion sizes. We had French Onion Soup (pat an extra $5), Duck Confit, Steak with frites and Chocolate Mousse and Creme Brûlée for desert. Huge bonus is the fee parking at the back of the restaurant, it’s limited but we were there earlier around 5:30. Definitely will be going back to try there Brunch! More...

My Steak Tartare was outstanding, as was my dining companion's Choucroute Alsacienne. The Gâteau à la Courge we shared for dessert was the perfect finish to our meal. Absolute perfection from start to finish!!! More...
This is a great place - awesome food, excellent ambience, great service. BUT, but why, for the love of everything in this modern day and age, does this restaurant not have a change table in their bathrooms How hard is it to put up a change pad on the wall? I had to awkwardly balance baby on the thinnest ledge by the mirror to change him. So you guys not want to welcome new parents to your establishment? It’s 2018, is it possible to get with the program? More...
Great restaurant. Excellent service and food.
Good salmon and delicious desserts. The best one was the one of pumpkin!!! Great ambiance.
The best restaurant in Toronto for French food.
You get what you pay for. Very delicious french food. My mom loves the place. The front patio is nice and they have umbrellas for shade. They also have an extensive wine menu. More...
Been here for a wedding and a brunch. Service is great as you'd expect and the food is quite delicious. Great feel to the whole place. Chairs could be a bit more comfortable but it's a cozy place to begin with. More...
Très bon et prix raisonable.
Everything was great!
This was my second time coming to this restaurant, and the food and service were as perfect as the first. Two surprises for me: I usually don't enjoy duck at restaurants. I find them dry and too gamey. I didn't realize that the cassoulet came with an entire duck leg. Oh but I ate all of it and enjoyed every tender, juicy and fragrant bite with a lightly crisped skin. The second surprise was the chocolate mousseline. Instead of tasting like whipped chocolate milk as I expected, it tasted like an airy, rich, aromatic dark chocolate with a very long finish. My favourite French restaurant. More...
The grilled mackerel (me) and the duck confit (husband) were fabulous. Kudos to the chef and the patisserie chef (the lemon tart and pumpkin sponge cake were to die for). Thanks to Kathleen for the Sauvignon Blanc recommendation. It made me extra happy that Champs Elysees was playing when we sat down. Thanks for a great anniversary dinner, Le Select! More...
Classy quality outfit serving absolutely traditional French Bistro fare. Fine wine list too. You will not be disappointed.
Excellent onion soup, extensive wine list, knowledgeable sommelier
A staple of the city. This is my go to and i usually sit at the bar. Love the atmosphere - even for a cafe au last i could stay here for hours.
one of my favourite restaurants in town!
Delicious bistro style french food... must try the fish mousse, french onion soup, duck confit, foie gras and hazelnut almond choux pastry dessert!
Never fails to satisfy. Always enjoy my meal here.
Great food. Friendly staff. Reasonable price.
Le Select is quite a fantastic restaurant. They are obviously a French restaurant, the level of authenticity is quite high - even the hostess was Parisian which was impressive. The food was all generally fantastic and we'll balanced in taste, portion and style. We were a larger group of over 20 individuals and the waiting staff were very responsive with the service. Overall, I'd love to come back for a brunch as well. More...
Always a fav go to when in Toronto
Great place good a service informed staff
excellent service, authentic bistro. I was there with my work friends and we had a great time.
one of my favorite places
Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, amazing staff!
We were here for a wedding. The food was excellent, the staff were a little disorganized. The wedding I will say was beautiful and wonderful. I'm interested in coming back here for dinner as the dining room and patio were rammed and as I said before the food quality (Even for 40 or so people) was excellent. More...
Was very busy and the host who looked like he might have been the owner wasn't overly friendly sat us in the front section. The food was very good and our waiter was friendly although nobody told us about the specials until I asked. The steak came out under cooked and was promptly returned medium rare this time. I ordered my favourite salad which was the Niçoise and it was excellent. The service is generally a little 'matter of fact' but it might represent the somewhat stiff clientele at lunch times. More...
Absolutely wonderful brunch and lovely service.
This is one of my favorite restaurant in Toronto. My favorite is its onion soup. It comes with fresh cheese and the soup was rich and flavourful. Duck leg confit served with crispy skin was also delicious, they have one or two legs options to choose from, if not hungry one is enough. The house specialty - pork hock and smoked sausage with cabbage is yum, the portion was just right! Definitely make a reservation before you go. More...
Went for lunch with a group of friends and had a fabulous experience. Food was excellent, as reported from all six ladies, service was on point and the atmosphere was lovely. We will be back! A definite hidden gem was found in Toronto today! More...
One of the best French restaurants in Toronto, hands down. The service was excellent, the wine selection seemingly endless, the food is always delicious!
Always an excellent choice. I loved this restaurant when they were originally located on Queen West, with bread baskets hanging from the ceiling. 20 years later, I still find myself gravitating here for consistently excellent food and superb service. Free (?) parking on the east side of the restaurant certainly helps in the decision making process of where to dine when in the neighbourhood. More...
Lovely traditional French bistro. Amazing wine selection and wonderful fare.
Love this place. The venue is super classy and old school french bistro. The food is amazing and the creme brulee is to die for!As mentioned it's a french bistro so Don't expect the quickest service. I generally come here for brunch so I can't comment on the whole menu but what I've tasted so far has been exceptional. Overall one of my favorite brunch spots! More...
Awesome brunch. Great staff.
Phenomenal food and service
Best little French bistro in Toronto by far. Has everything you could wish for: steak frites, magret de canard, steak tartare and a great wine list.
Great atmosphere, food, and price. We'll definitely be be back. You're safest to make a reservation
Fantastic French bistro- got all the traditional favorites!

Spent four days in Toronto and ate one meal a day here (dinner, brunch, and two lunches). The food and service is nothing short of amazing. About as authentic as you can get without being in Dijon. Can't wait to visit Toronto again and try more menu items. Oh, and the wine list has something for everyone. More...
I ordered the steak fritos and I really enjoyed my meal. Sitting on the patio, enjoying the hustle and bustle of Downtown and the great view of the CN Tower. Will definitely be coming back!
You can never go wrong with this place!
I liked it. Not many options in the menu, bit the onda available were worth the price
Great location and eclectic menu
The French toast was absolutely delicious. I've been here before a few years ago and the quality of the food hasn't changed. Great experience every time.
Delicious delicious delicious!I’ve been here a handful of times for different meals and I’ve been amazed with the food on every visit. I haven’t been to a better French restaurant in the city and anyone who has spent any time in France would be happy to call this place a French bistro. More...

This place is incredible. Great food, massive and great wine list, great ambience, great service, and even a great value. This is French cuisine made with love. Kudos to the kitchen, our server Virginia, and manager Alex for a superlative experience. We loved everything. More...
Place is located few min walk from the center but still very close to Union Station. Restaurant offers decent varianty of meals. Restaurant has very nice garden which separates you from the street which is no noisy as we though. Service quality and food quality is great. It was great time visiting Le Select and hope if we ever travel arround we will stop by again. More...
Small lunch menu, but quality food.

Original experience. Lovely atmosphere.
Great place for a romantic night out.
Food is incredible and the service is also great! I'm vegan and had no trouble getting the chef to substitute dairy ingredients in meals and they still tasted delicious!Definitley recommend for a nice dinner and some great wine selections. More...
Great food and decent service. Wish that the food was better described.
Wonderful food and great service! The beef bourguignon was amazing!
Delightdul place for a Californian to experience French bistro cuisine. Great patio & indoor seating, modern & traditional menu. Not too pricey. Go near dusk!!

Muy buena opción para visitar y degustar comida francesa. El único problema que tienen es que si vas en un grupo grande de personas algunos van a tener la comida caliente y otros les va a llegar tibia.
Food and service always excellent
Very nice place, friendly employees, difficult choice to make from the menu. Worth visiting!
Price is on the higher end of the scale but the food is good. The atmosphere and decor although nicer than many restaurants, the vibe is still laid back and relaxed.
Great brunch spot
Great place for brunch with friends. Steak frites, oh ya! Pate and sparkling wine.
The food was really good, service was quick and the restaurant itself was very clean and beautiful.
Food, service and ambience is excellent.
Le Select Bisto's steak frites are so tasty. The decor is warm and inviting. The service was attentive. A fantastic meal.
Great place for fine French dining.
