Wonderful! a super lady with a great personality, service and good foodl
Thanks for the good review Trudy!! It was a pleasure working with you. Karen.
Great food and plenty of it, great price, we will be using them again. Friendly service!
Thanks, Sarah. It was a pleasure working with you!!
Great food, like the new location.
Awesome food as always.
Really unique menu. Food was delicious and fresh!
Just had eggs benny with smoked salmon and soft eggs. Absolute delish and rightly sized for one person. The place deserves more visitors from surrounding hotels!
Great rotating menu. Food made with passion, and at a fair price. More vendors should lead by this example. Keep it up!
Great pop up dishes
Great communication, selection and professionalism for our event! The good eats team was easy to work with; the food was delicious and exactly what we were looking for; they were in and out with ease, brought all their own supplies and kept a clean and efficient work space while staying on schedule. 100% would have them cater again! Thanks so much! More...
Thanks so much Mike. You were a joy to work with!!
Wonderful! Such a cute place with amazing food! Note that they only do brunch on Sundays but breakfast and lunch every other day. Me and my family loved it so much!
Excellent spot for delicious brunch offerings. They have amazing food and drinks, and I really liked the relaxed setup. I would be happy with anything off of their menu. They also have many gluten free options, which is nice for those who have dietary restrictions. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Ottawa! More...
Really cute spot for vegan breakfast! I had their BLT and my fiancé had their build your own breakfast. My only issue was with the vegan bacon - it was tough to eat and pretty flavorless. Everything else was very good!
This place has great treats and the sandwiches are creative and delicious. I spoke to the owner and she was so hospitable. I love to support local businesses. And I look forward to dining her again. More...
I highly recommend Good Eats. The food is wonderful. I just had the weekly special today - beef curry. So good! The breads and wraps are baked fresh onsite, and the desserts are incredible. Check it out for breakfast or lunch - you won't be disappointed. More...
We are vegetarians and were visiting Ottawa my husband’s home town this weekend. The food was wholesome and outstandingly flavorful and delicious. The cafe au lait was perfect as well! Karen and her team have really nailed the healthy and gourmet combo. They bake their own vegan breads which was fresh and delicious. They have also introduced a Sunday brunch which looks phenomenal I wish them all the success. Really GOOD EATS! More...
Awesome Sunday brunch!
We will be using them and I'm looking forward to it. Very prompt, friendly service.
I loved all the vegan and gluten-free options the good eats offers a good change from the Ottawa norm. Recently moved from salt spring Island and was really disappointed with the vegan gluten-free options in other cafe's in Ottawa. Good eats has become my new favourite cafe! More...
This review applied to the Good Eats at its previous location. I can't comment on the new premises. Really good creative food options that taste great. Also reasonably priced meals and desserts. I've been there three times now, and I've never been disappointed. Just be careful because the lunch rush is intense. Gets crazy around noon. The place is pretty small, so it might be better to take your meal to go. The sandwiches can be a little messy because they're so stuffed, but I'm not going to complain about that.Super healthy menu with lots of gluten free and vegetarian options if you happen to have diet restrictions. More...
Super fast and super good. Thanks for the great meal
5 stars out of 5 for:- indeed, good hearty eats - I had the beef stroganoff in a wrap (should have opted from the wrap, it was too much for me)- free lemon water- friendly staff- open / exposed-concept kitchen- nice eclectic mix of dining-in furniture- a free cookie (chose a chocolate chip!) for my 1st Yelp check-in @ #GoodEats (thank you!) Amazing food, great coffee and friendly staff.
staff are great and great quality of food , yummy tasty and a whole lot of awesomeness!

Just had a latte and GF donut ... the best I've ever had! Super place ... highly recommend!
Great new space, always delicious! The best gluten free donuts (or donuts in general) you’ll ever have! I’m not gluten free and I dream about these donuts!
Friendly, great service, great coffee, fab food!
Great sandwiches and friendly staff. Really good place to grab a quick lunch. I'll be going back again when I am in the area.
I got the wild rice salad with tofu and it was so so good. And huge! I took some home with me. One of the best salads I've ever had. Since I don't live in Ottawa I will definitely be trying to make it at home. My boyfriend got the pulled pork wrap and he enjoyed it as well. Ambience is cute, fast, casual. Seems like a place a lot of locals that work nearby go to for lunch. Definitely worth a visit! More...
Love the weekly selections and they make them gluten free! I have never had any issues here as they are extremely careful when making gluten free stuff. Great staff too!EDIT: This morning I was craving a breakfast BLT so I booked it over there and made it JUST in time to see that my wallet was missing. Thankfully they accept Google pay!! And the Gluten Free breakfast BLT was AMAZING! More...
Food is good, and I believe absolutely everything is made in house. (Right down to the ketchup o. The breakfast sandwich) The drip coffee is wonderful, plenty of flavor and very little bitter. My favorite thing on the menu has to be the hazelnut banana bars. These things are better than crack! More...
Came here today because the conference I was attending at the Delta didn't have any vegan options for lunch. I'm so glad I found this little eatery. The shop was packed with the lunchtime rush but the staff worked like a well-oiled machine to get everyone served with minimal wait time. 2 large tables and a small window bar offer comfortable seating for roughly 20 people at a time. I had a medium roasted butternut squash salad and it was so delicious but very filling. I'm thankful I only got a medium as a large would have been way too much. Bonus: They are very serious about recycling - all plastic is placed on a trolley to clean and recycle. Gotta love that initiative. More...
Fresh health tasty lunch items in a eat in or take out style small cafe.
A wonderful place. A cozy place. The food is good. The service is good too.
This place is the best
Cute and quick little breakfast joint with character in a rather bleak area.
Decent little eatery near the transit way. Fun menu and cheerful staff.
Very innovative menu that changes weekly. You can tell they care about the quality of their ingredients and the food they serve. On Fridays that have old fashioned donuts which are so good, they are almost narcotic level addictive. More...
Great healthy food, service even better and great staff. Not your usual soup and salad menu, and we all enjoyed our choices. They are moving near the end of the month so we will follow. More...
Good Eats has both breakfast and lunch options, a lot of variety. Sandwiches and bars instead of huge breakfast plates which is great for a quick grab and go.
Delicious food that felt nice to eat.Extra friendly staff that went above and beyond to be helpful.Cozy and earthy feel to the restaurant. Not accessible for wheelchair.
Fantastic food, coffee, service, and everything. Go here as often as you can before it potentially closes in December.
The bad: Slow service. You’ll wait a long time to get food and to pay because the order/pay/receive system isn’t really efficient. There’s always lots of confusion and they’ve been open for years, so I don’t know why they haven’t figured that out yet.But the good: food-wise, it’s excellent. The vegan granola bars are my favourite. I like that you can get any of the sandwiches as a salad instead. More...
Very cozy place to go for lunch
Have the baked goods gotten better over the years? Great work! The lattes are also one of the best in town. Keep it up!
Excellent place to grab a sandwich and salad and some treats too. Compared to a Subway, these sandwiches are much better for a similar price!
I find the place to be great, different menu's keep this place interesting. I also like the coffee.
Great sandwich shop with an ever changing and interesting menu.
Everything is always fresh and delicious. They change up the menu every week which keeps it interesting. The baked goods are fantastic... especially the oatmeal cookies!
Jean-Luc Fortin Dionne
Nice little place sandwiches are really great. Maybe better get the pita so stuff does not drop off your sandwich
Beat lunch spot in the city. Menu changes every week. Food is delicious. Lots of vegetarian options.
I wish this place was open on the weekend! A fresh, delicious, rotating menu of brunch and lunch. Great vibes inside, can stay or go, it's a small eating area. Must eat here!
Super Good food. Very friendly staff. Amazing service and good price
Always crazy busy so get there early. Kind of a funny waiting system. But still quick and very tasty. Gotta try the wraps!
Great place to eat for lunch. Friendly owners/staff.
Although not very big, this place provides a good variety because of the menu that changes weekly. Moreover, you might just find a pop up restaurant here on a weekend
Quaint with delicious, freshly made food. Great selection, friendly staff, bohemian vibe. Gluten free and vegetarian options.
GREAT breakfast BLT good coffee!!!
I Would highly recommend this place for a delicious meal and reasonable prices. Everything is local and homemade. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options as well. I suggest getting the BLT sandwich for a delicious snack! More...
Went for lunch at 11:30 and the lineup was starting to form. Staff is well organised so it doesn't take very long for your order.Their menu changes weekly so checkout their website. Also, it will be changing owners on Jan 8, 2018.Ordered two sandwiches (pork & beef) that are described below. The size was very generous. I really liked the beef, and the pork was OK. I found the cucumbers and sauce overpowered the pork.PORKHoisin pork: slow-cooked pork, Hoisin sauce, cucumber, green onion & carrot slaw, crispy noodles, and greens. $8.5BEEFCrispy ginger beef, spicy sauce, Asian slaw and greens. $8.5Tried their lemon, caramel, and chocolate donuts. The dough is nice and soft, but I didn't like the lemon or caramel filling very much. The chocolate was good. Last item was the chocolate banana nut bar. This is a MUST. Very tasty! One last thing I wasn't crazy about:Wanted to order coffee after eating the sandwiches to enjoy with the desserts, but was asked to stand in line again. I wish there was a separate line/area where you can order coffee/beverages so you're not stuck behind the big lineup of people ordering their lunches. More...
The menu changes weekly so you’ll never get bored of going here. Healthy and fresh ingredients, and everything is made in house. I love it.
This place caters my lunches at work. Absolutely delicious food, high quality ingredients.
They were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions, the food is very tasty and healthy, thank you!

Great lunch place. I like that they change their menu often to keep it interesting. Food is made with thought and care. Price is very reasonable.
Amazing, delicious, healthy lunch options! Homemade soda is a must try!
I had the pork sausage sandwhich, the Lemon homemade soda and the blueberry cheese cake. All of which were amazing. Now here's the exceptional part of my review and what REALLY drove home what an amazing place this is. The food is phenomenal and inventive but the service is something altogether. I missed the last step out the door and off went my beloved cheesecake to decorate the pavement. Since I was standing literally at the door I went back in side to order another and hopefully the staff wouldn't mind throwing out the ruined mess I made. Not only did they dispose of the mess but replaced it for free after hearing what happened. No one does that anymore. It goes above and beyond customer service. I'm going to miss this place like crazy. More...
Really good coffee and egg & bacon sandwhich. I didnt have the baked goods but they looked amazing. In a great location.
Amazing salads, but come early as it is incredibly crowded for lunch. Limited seating, so take your lunch to go.
They are really polite and friendly, they are really quick making food and it taste sooo good, although it gets really busy at lunch hour and the best of all, it's cheap, it's like a better version of Subway, with better quality and lower prices
Delicious fresh food. Enjoyed my beef cheese steak sandwich and freshly baked chocolate chip cookie for lunch. Small place with seating for about 20-25 people. Busy just after 12pm with the workforce crowd lined up out the door, but quiet just before and after (mostly ordering to-go). Menu changes weekly. Vegan options available. More...
Laid back place or quick breakfast and big mugs of filter coffee. Staff very friendly too.
Love this place. A little misplaced architecturally, but exactly where it needs to be for breakfast. Mushrooms on toast were delicious and filling. Coffee great. Scrambled eggs on a grilled sweet potatoes slice hit the mark too. How could I possible capture in words the almond cake. Heaven! More...
I had a really nice breakfast sandwich here. The server was very nice and I also had a delicious homemade donut. It doesn't look like much from the street but don't be fooled. It's a really great place for breakfast. More...
Such a tasty choice for breakfast! I had the breakfast sandwich with scrambled egg, bacon and cheese on a homemade english muffin. When I asked if they had any orange juice, the guy behind the counter asked, "are you staying here to eat?" When I said I was, we went and grabbed bowl full of orange and began juicing them right there. It was a wonderfully fresh meal. More...
Great breakfast with my brother. We had a nice relaxing time before he headed home to Toronto. I stopped in to Good Eats Cafe for breakfast and had a mushroom melt. It was a really generous portion of beautifully cooked mushrooms with melted cheese on top of a bun. This cute little place is so delicious. There is a nice atmosphere and the service is great! I had a peanut butter jelly bar and avocado toast and it was awesome!
Best Gluten free food in Ottawa, I love the gluten free donuts and breaky wrap. best wrap I've ever had :) They also have beautiful yummy baked goods every morning.
I feel like eating here makes me a better person. There's nothing phony about this place. There is an authentic committment to quality over trends. It's so....wholesome? Nice? Clean, as in natural and simple? Maybe all those things. Don't be fooled by a so-so building. (Though they're moving soon). There's nothing fancy here and that's what makes it so great. Just good wholesome food at a reasonable price. More...
Cozy and casual ,Awesome gf breakfast wrap, and a good gf baked goods .. good coffee
I was so surprise of this discovery. Its a beautiful cafe and the food is great and so fresh. I was surprise that the price was not to expensive. The old house is absolutely charming. Every times am in Ottawa I woke up early to go to this place. I LOVE IT !! Free cookies if you check in there :P More...
Great little place for breakfast, was staying at the Delta Hotel and this was a much more enticing option. The fact that it's an isolated building in the middle of some car lots just adds to the charm.
Bomb.com this place is amazing. Get a ton of food and so fresh. Great salads and baked goods
The food and service here is amazing! The Gluten Free pastries are some of the best that I've tasted!
Very small space but staff was very friendly and the food is delicious. Very fresh, tasting.
Stopped by for a quick lunch and was blown away by the flavours, efficiency, prices, and friendliness. Both the veg and chicken wraps were delicious and hefty. Would seriously go back next time I'm in Ottawa! More...

These guys are beauties! Great job at Mayofest! The Mac and Cheese with Panko is to die for! Keep up the great work!
Great food! Friendly staff! It will be one of my go to places for breakfast or lunch!
So great to have you guys at Mayofest over the weekend. I look forward to visiting your location !
Unconventional. Good location. Sweet deserts
Great spot for a quick sandwich or salad.
Very good meal
Had a delicious BLT at this cozy spot during a brief stay in Ottawa. Coffee was great, too!
Great food. Fabulous staff. Cool venue.
This is a great place to go if you're looking for something quick and healthy. The best part is that the menu changes weekly. Staff are very friendly. My only complaint is consistency. I grab lunch here 2-3 times a week - I'll go in on Monday and the salad will taste fantastic and then I'll grab it again on Tuesday but it will look totally different - too many greens or not enough or too much dressing or too little etc. Then I'll go again on Friday and the salad is again different!!! Sometimes better, sometimes worse. I guess it depends on the person making it? It would be great if the manager could quality check every batch to maintain consistency. Everything else is great! :) More...
Great soups , sandwiches , and salads. I like that the menu changes weekly , and everything is super fresh, made fresh. It's a nice change for lunch. Try it once and you will return!
Can't ask for better sandwiches; the GF wraps are life saving!
Amazing! I rarely meet someone so devoted to serving people delicious food. Service is amazing, staff are super friendly and recognize you immediately if you've been there before. 11/10 - would recommend!
Delicious, healthy food. Gluten free and vegetarian options. Fast and friendly service. Cute / quaint environment. Very busy at lunch.
Tasty, authentic, humble, and friendly!
Great place to go for breakfast or lunch. Food is healthy. Line is long but food is prepared quickly. Menu changes each week. Not a lot of indoor seating.
Absolutely delicious. Had the blackened chicken sandwich and was blown away. The meat was well seasoned and moist, fresh crunchy greens, perfectly roasted peppers and the bread was the perfect texture.
Great little location for lunch with amazing sandwiches and wraps
Great quick healthy food with amazing date squares!
LOVE! this place. Healthy and hearty lunch and breakfast options sure to please everyone. Vegan and gluten free options available daily with a rotating menu that makes you want to come back to see just what they've made this time. The flavours are fresh and delicious. By far one of my favorite places in town. More...
Great place & cozy. Wish there are more options for vegetarians.
Ordered a chicken sandwich and beef sandwich. Both were huge and delicious! Chai latte was very decently priced. Place was busy (line up to the door) but the staff was still friendly and efficient. Very cozy spot.
Love the ambience. Service was great. If you're staying downtown, don't skip it in favor of Spark St. Cozy and charming.
Nice spot! Great cappuccino and lemon bars!
Great place. Every week the lunch menu changes keeps it interesting. Plenty of homemade desserts. Yummy
One of my work place locals. Love the food, love the people, love the atmosphere. What else is there?
Highly creative menu changes weekly. Great sandwiches, soups and salads.
Very good unpretentious, cosy (fan tutte) lunch establishment, has tight opening hours from 12-2 so it is advisable to arrive before 1 to be able to still snag a sandwich. This place has the look and taste of home-cooking, their bread in particular is well made and just right for sandwiches. Choices are usually simple - a (rolling?) menu that changes every day with 3 choices for fillings (the meats are all available in vegetarian/vegan options) with 1 a vegetable based filling. Soups, good coffee, nice chai latte and reasonable prices round it all off. More...
This place is amazing.
Eclectic selection of baked goods and sandwiches. Closes early.
I recently enjoyed one of the greatest breakfast sandwiches ever. I don't reside in Ottawa, but will make it a point to pop in for a bite whenever I'm in town. Delicious!
Roberto Garcia Glez
Amazing food. The drip coffee could be better.
The real deal. Everything from scratch and made to order. Delicious. Super friendly staff and service too.
You guys were the hit at @Mayofest!! We hope to have you back and I'll definitely be by for lunch soon!
Great food. Low prices. And super friendly and accommodating employees! A must when in Ottawa!
Good Eats, you guys should change your name to great eats! Thanks so much for making our stay in Ottawa delicious.
Good Eats should change their name to Great Eats. My wife and I arrived in town for Blues Fest after a long drive. We were famished and I was starting to get a little hangry. So we did what we always do, we feverishly checked Yelp and TripAdvisor for restaurant reviews. Thankfully Good Eats was close and although the reviews were generally positive, the actual experience was even better. Upon arriving we were greeted cheerfully by the two women working behind the counter. They answered all of our questions about the menu. We landed on a veggie sandwich on ciabatta and a Mediterranean salad. Both were flavorful and delicious. The price was very reasonable for the quality of the food. In fact, it was all so good we went back the next morning for breakfast. The real kicker is that as soon as we walked in, the woman working greeted me by name as if I were a regular. How crazy is that, she remembered my name and we had a nice chat. I would consider moving to Ottawa just to go to this place. If you live in Ottawa already, you'd be crazy not to check this place out and make it a regular stop! More...
You probably won't get a good feeling just looking at the place from the outside. It's a very old house(and not good-looking) near a parking lot. However, everything else about it was really good. Their staff is really nice and the food options supposedly change almost weekly. I was surprised also because their coffee machine looked a bit old but still made good coffee. Not sure if you can get anything even close to their quality for that price in the area. The mushroom melt sandwich had tons of mushrooms and was so filling. So, food and service: really good! Interior: not so much. More...

Delightful fresh ingredients and easy accommodation of my new dietary restrictions! Yay!
Soooooooo happy to have this GF food place near my office! excellent wrap and granola bar (more like dessert for me), super fast service and steps from my office.
Very Good flat white. Barista skills are important and they rocked it. Try the little almond cake slightly crispy with a chewy moist inside, could eat them for days. Sammy was good, didn't love the homemade bread could have been softer, felt like all pieces were ends of a loaf. Would go again to try more items , baked goods on display looked awesome. Can't believe how cheap it was $19 for two flat whites, two sammys and one almond cake . Ottawa you are a cheap city compared to TO! More...
Excellent food, great prices, super friendly staff and a solid choice of music to boot! This place is a hidden gem in Ottawa, wish I had found it sooner!
Always fresh, always delicious, loads of options available on their weekly menu. I love their creative and healthy salads. Did you know there is a half/half option? Why not try two kinds!?They go way too heavy on salad dressing though, ask for less! More...
I'd recommend Good Eats for their mochas and cheddar scones. I also got to try the avocado toast here but the portions were really small and a bit too spicy for my tastes.
Found this on yelp and thought I would give it a try. Popped in for some scones on the go and they were delicious. Definitely recommend.
Very laid back atmosphere - reflected in the music and attitude of the staff (a good thing!)Everything seems to be made in house. Had the BLT today...delicious. Good coffee and great spot to sit for a bit in the morning. Also a nice selection of baked goods! More...
I could taste the freshness of the ingredients used in a quality sandwich. Smart yet simple combinations. The menu is not lengthy, which is a good thing in this case when everything is appealing. I had the lamb sandwich and was pleased with the tenderness of the meat. One con is how cold it is to sit inside during the winter, since the space is small and the door takes a long time to shut. I was about to catch the Via train back to Toronto so I dropped in for a quick breakfast. My daughter and grandson were waiting at the hotel and I asked if possible to get a breakfast sandwich or two. The lady there was very accommodating. Everything was great. Awesome mushrooms and onions sandwich! Great coffee, everything was delicious! Just the guy from the front desk wasn't really helpful. But I totally recommend!
Every time I go, there's always a delicious and different wrap to choose from and the service is always great!
My wife and I went for the first time yesterday. We were both absolutely blown away by the delicious and vast variety of food and desserts. Particularly amazing was the soup. You could taste the love. Well priced too but that didn't even matter it was so good. :) More...
Small dining room with communal harvest tables. Excellent wraps with homemade flat bread, interesting ingredient combinations (fried miso something in my beef wrap made it original). Prices are decent and include taxes for convenience, e.g. $8.5 for a very large sandwich. On Fridays, they make stuffed donuts ($2.50) which are to die for! Try the salty caramel ones (they look like pączki, Polish donuts). Service in both FR and EN. Very friendly! More...
Absolutely a delight!! Great food and service. Beautiful dishes and we'll worth the reasonable prices. Great portions and healthy alternative!
The extremely delicious sandwiches and rotating menu keep me coming back. By far my favourite lunch spot during the work week.
Good food that changes every week. Only wish they were open a little later so that I can bring my friends to eat there after work.
Always suuuuper busy at lunch so go early. But well worth the wait for food. Great contemporary menu that changes all the time. Great staff and great food at good prices. More...
Great simple healthy food. Menu changes weekly.
More...
I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant... Though small and cozy and simply decorated, the vibe was very friendly and homey with easy access to cheap(ish) parking. The staff were very polite and the customers were pleasant as well considering the minimal seating available sometimes put you in the space of others, but no one seemed to mind it. My mother and I got the same thing, a buffalo chicken sandwich (hers on bread, mine in a wrap) with no buffalo sauce, and it was great! My father and sister got the bbq sandwich, his pork and hers tofu, and they both seemed to thoroughly enjoy it. We all also got the coconut chicken corn chowder, and while it was good, it would've been nice to know prior to purchase that it was served cold- that's the only negative thing I have to say about this place. It's awesome that their menu changes weekly; you'll never get bored! More...
This was a great place to eat. It is a small place, but no one cares, we shared a table with other people and everyone was just so friendly. My daughter and I got the same sandwich, the bbq sandwich, she got tofu, and I got the pork and both versions of the sandwich is amazing. The sandwiches are big, bread is amazingly fresh, and the atmosphere was so cool!! Way to go Good Eats!!BTW, parking was on the side and easy to get into, paid parking. More...
Very tasty food with nuance and attention to detail. Healthy too. The service was pretty slow and confused, but I wasn't in a particular rush. No AC and it was a 33 degree day so it was uncomfortable inside. I would certainly go back for the food. More...

We use Good Eats for our catering needs. Always amazing at coming up with tasty and creative solutions to special dietary requests - vegan and gluten-free!
I've had several yummy things from Good Eats in the month since I've been working within walking distance. But today's veggie wrap is hands down the best wrap I've ever had! Perfectly marinated and cooked tofu, crispy green apple, carrots, greens, candied nuts in a homemade wrap with perfectly spiced tamarind sauce. So good and so filling! Keep up the good eats! I'll be back sometime this week for another! :) More...
Good Eats is my favourite place to have lunch! Amazing new menu each week and the food is fresh and delicious.
I've been here twice now and the food is really good. Service is friendly. The first time, I went in for lunch around 11:40am. It was quiet which was nice. I grabbed a gluten free lamb wrap. Wow! It was amazing! The gf wrap was homemade with oats and was soft. The lamb beautifully seasoned and it was topped with roasted red pepper, spicy harissa and a white bean hummus. I seriously wanted to go back for another, but after devouring it I found myself quite full.I decided to return the next day for breakfast since I didn't have time to make something that morning. I decided to go with the BLT. Sadly they were out of gluten free bread... So they made me a fresh wrap (I saw them cooking it!). It was really good as well. I wish they had bread or gf english muffins, but not that day. I showed up around 7:45 and it was quiet, but a few minutes later business picked up and they were busy. I find it sometimes takes a little while to get my food (15-20), maybe because I'm one of the first customers in, or they had to make gf wrap from scratch, but the wait is worth it. I like that they menu changes weekly so there's always something new to try. Lots of gluten free and vegetarian options as well!can't wait to go back some time soon! More...
I'm in Ottawa for work, but from Phoenix, Arizona. I have a gluten intolerance, so traveling to a new place and attempting the local cuisine is always a game of Russian roulette. Good Eats took the guess work out of that. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The brunch was amazing, fresh and healthy. The portion sizes for the cost, was also fantastic! Not to mention, the old house where the restaurant is located, is quite quaint and lovely! More...
Forget Tim Hortons. This place has infinitely better coffee, breakfast sandwiches, pastries etc. You'll pay about the same amount and sit in a nice environment with good music as apposed to... Well, you know. Tim Hortons.
Delicious veggies sandwich! Haloumi cheese, roasted peppers, pesto, avocado, olives, picked red onion Ina freshly baked wrap! So good!! Original items, lots of baked goods, great place!! With a menu changing weekly, it's always fun to see what's on the menu! Busy lunch spot. Love this spot! More...
Checked this place out with a friend for lunch. The sandwiches are some of the best I've had in Ottawa. They have a great assortment of baked goods as well that looked delicious. Little hole in the wall, a bit out of the way (although nicely located if you are staying in one of the nearby hotels). Food was delicious and fresh - the menu changes weekly, apparently, so what I had might not be there the next time, but a commitment to simple balanced flavours and seasonal and fresh ingredients will always be a winner.
I wish there were more places like Good Eats around! Good, wholesome. homemade, clean food and very reasonably priced. I'm always excited to see what the new menu includes!
Just had the pulled pork tacos for lunch. Deeelish! If you're looking for a change of pace for lunch this the place to go. All homemade goods made onsite and caters to those who are gluten free. Breakfast and lunch Menu changes weekly...so there is always something new to try ;) More...
I was welcome by both of the inviting ladies when I came in looking for some GOOD EATS this morning. Wasn't sure if I wanted breakfast or lunch (although I hadn't had breakfast yet). The time was 11 am (that awkward time between breakfast and lunch when you don't know which menu, breakfast or lunch menu, you can order from.). As it wasn't busy, without me asking, they offered to make something off of either menu. . I found out that the menu changes weekly at GOOD EATS. They post their weekly menu at: good-eats.ca. A new soup each day of the week, and they always have fresh cookies and coffee/espresso and the like. GOOD EATS was GREAT EATS as far as I was concerned. Price was SPECTACULAR, especially for how freshly made each item is, as well as fresh breads, wraps etc. for their sandwiches they make. Spent only $7 inclusive of tax before tip for a Flat White, and breakfast sandwich. I WIN! I hope this place is popular and around to stay for the next time I'm in Ottawa, because it's close to where I stay and it's delightful! More...
My wife and I had breakfast here two mornings during our visit to Ottawa. Great fresh baked pastries and breads along with good coffee. Make sure to have their breakfast specials as they are really special. My wife had the guacamole toast and I had the mushroom melt. A great start to our day. More...
Have been here for brunch a number of times - fresh, delicious and plenty of food! Not your typical bacon and eggs joint, if you're in the mood for something different.
Legit - the best BLT I've ever had in my life
Lovely people, delicious breakfast sandwich, med cent price for home and freshly made.
I stopped by today 30 minutes before closing to grab a quick salad to go. When I walked up to the restaurant I saw that the sign said "closed". I was disappointed, but thought I'd try to push on the door, just to be sure they were actually closed. Good thing I did because the door swung open and I was greeted. I asked if they were closed and the lady there said they were still open but they didn't have much selection left. I asked if they still had the beet and carrot salad left and they did :)So I had the large beet and carrot salad ($10) with chicken (+$2). They have a special on right now through the Yelp App, so if you "check in" on the Yelp App at Good Eats you get a free cookie. I "checked in" and got a free oatmeal cookie (it was the only type they had left). When I got home, I dug right into the salad and it was great. The salad was grated beets and carrots and chopped up cabbage and parsley, with pumpkin seeds in a sugary lime dressing. The chicken was grilled chicken breast thinly sliced. It was very tasty. The cookie was ok. It was too buttery for my liking. By the time I got home, the paper bag it was in was translucent from all the fat. But whatever, it was free :) The decor is "indie sandwich shop-esque." The person serving me was very nice and pleasant. They don't open very late (4pm is the latest that they open), so unfortunately I probably won't be able to eat here that often. If you're able to get here when they are open, you should give them a try! More...
This family-run breakfast & lunch spot is not to be missed. All fresh, whole and organic ingredients make you feel virtuous as you enjoy the delicious offerings, which include soups, egg dishes, sandwiches, and quiche. Also, they make a mean fresh-squeezed orange juice. The vibe is very laid back, the aesthetic is funky, and the soundtrack is great. We liked our lunches so much on our first day in town that we came back two days later for Saturday brunch. Go here. More...

Went to Good Eats for lunch with coworkers. Great food, great service! Amazing gluten-free wraps.
Best sandwich shop/bakery in Ottawa! My favourite place to go for coffee or lunch.
Tasty, changing menu that reflects the seasons and imagination of the Good Eats crew. Had a delicious corn chowder, a piece of the giant flatbread, yummy grilled haloumi and arugula salad and curried tofu scramble wrap!
