Today was our second visit to Jerusalem Grill in Langley. The quality of food is amazing and has the authentic Lebanese taste . Some of the best falafel , kebeh ,lamb shawarma , home made fries and shish tawook in the Vancouver mainland  ..The owner Abed is very friendly and welcoming  gentleman . There ate 2 locations of Jerusalem Grill, the other being in Fleetwood area and this one being the newer (and closer) of them. This gruesomely cold Sunday we finally got there. Trapped in the shadow of Boston Pizza on the By-pass just west of Fraser Hwy, it was worth finding and parking is easy. The menu is pretty typical middle eastern and prices are very good. This quarter chicken - dark meat plate was $9.49 and came with basmati rice, 2 excellent salads including Fatoush, and a couple of dips, namely Houmus and the amazing Toum (garlic sauce to surpass all garlic sauce on the planet). The chicken is available grilled or fried. I was curious about their fried chicken but Marie got all health conscious on me and so we had the grilled. It was not a mistake as the chicken was tender and slightly salty and very tasty! We also tried the Roasted Lamb Shank plate which was also a bargain at $13.99. This was the same plate but with a wonderful tender fall of the bone lamb shank. Of course, there was pita and each plate also came with a soft drink! There is much more to this menu including skewers and wraps and so on. We ordered a Lamb Cube wrap to go which was lovely and tender with sauce and a pickle and lettuce etc. It was not the most photogenic (not meant to be unwrapped once it is wrapped) so after debating, I chose not to include my picture. I would definitely order it again though. There are a few tables and chairs including a higher communal table and you can watch the game (I expect that the Superbowl was on later). We had a couple platters from here, overall really good.The spices used were excellent, very flavourful without being over powering. Hummus was better than anything we could've made at home. Recent renovations from the main restaurant also changed the menu by placing new appetizers and also dinner items. If you like lamb, a lamb dish as seen by the photo is recently on the menu, the food is made fresh in the oven so if you are in a rush don’t order it but if you are dining in, it’s a must try item. At first glance, this place looks like a bit of a hole in the wall; however, after dining here my boyfriend and I were pleasantly impressed. We frequently order takeout from this location. The Jerusalem mixed grill and the Shawarma platter are both delicious. My 3 yr old frequently requests "chicken on a stick". I love this restaurant so much! I've been a number of times and have had a good sampling of the menu, never a bad meal. One of my favorites is the lamb shank. Everything is super fresh and made to order. Not the biggest seating area but super comfy and clean, and isn't that all that counts? If you come during the day or at slower times you can order and pay at the till, during peak hours there is wait staff to take your order at the table. Now this is a collection of unique flavours. Very different from your typical takeout shwarma outfit. Ever been to Nuba in Vancouver? You'll get similar flavour profiles at this restaurant, at a fraction of the cost and in a much more casual atmosphere. Maybe not as high quality dishes or comfortable atmosphere, but Jerusalem Grill has a certain special flare that makes it worthwhile.Be careful what you opt for if you do not care for overcooked meat. The cubed beef or lamb can be a bit dry and or chewy, as with the beef kufta (in whole form). But add a little garlic sauce or baba ganoush and you can hardly notice!The kufta with humus on pita is very tasty.If you have the option to try rice or fries, go for the rice. It is delicious. Very authentic and friendly place. A little slow with dine in service, but I understand they were training. The chicken shwarma was beautifully seasoned with large cuts of meat. It came with two salads, a choice of rice or fries, pita bread and pita chips, and a drink. The garlic dip was amazing! We found out there is no mayo in it and consists of just garlic and yogurt. Ordered the lamb cubes and lamb sharma plate. Both very good, the garlic sauce they give you is Potent, but delish. I would come back, they forgot my fries and the girl at the register was in a hurry to clock-out which is why they 4 instead of 5 stars.

My wife found this tiny hidden gem a few days ago and suggested we try it out. I ordered the lamb shawarma and she ordered the falafel. They were delicious. The food is amazing and layered with complex flavours. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a delicious meal. I would choose it over the Boston Pizza that is right next door!My only complaint would be that every meal comes with a pop or a water and I never drink pop so that leaves me buying a water when at most places I can simply order a cup of water. The meal is more than worth the price. But this way it feels like I am paying for something I am not using because I won't drink soda. More...

The best I ever had. And it's so filling. They give you fresh yummy salad with hummus and aoli and pita bread with choice of fries or rice. All of this with your meat dish. And a pop drink that's included with it. Prices are very reasonable and good. Food is just mouth watering. Trust me, go here rather than other restaurants who charge so much for just basic bland food....     I go here all the time with my husband. He loves the Jerusalem platter with different kabab meats. We came here in the early afternoon and were the only two in the place. I ordered a falafel plate, he got 1/2 chicken 1/2 lamb plate. The service (I guess you can call it that?- you order at the counter and someone brings the food to you, then you never see them again) was sos. Considering we were the only people in there, it was pretty slow, but the food was delicious. I wish the serving size was a little bigger, but the plates each come with several sides (hummus, tabouli, and salad). The hummus is realllllly good, and so is the tabouli. The salad was meh, and I wish they had a better selection of drinks (just canned pop).
