Our Mastiff Boxer rescue had some confidence issues that eventually lead to unpredictable aggressiveness. You have 2 choices as a responsible dog owner, fix it or forget it. We chose to fix it. We made first contact with Kat and she explained the process. Jason and Meagan worked with Lincoln and we really liked the Instagram video updates. We missed our guy but were committed to making him the best he can be. He went from skitterish and jumpy to calm and cool. He is a joy to have around. We needed an extra week on top of the normal board and train, but you have to trust the pros. This behaviour modification works for us. The handouts and time that Jason put into us as well as Link changed everything. We absolutely are fans of ITrainK9. If you are a committed dog owner who wants the best life for your pet, I highly recommend sending your dog there. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. More...

iTrainK9 was the answer to getting our household and lifestyle back to some normalcy. Lexey came into our lives at 10 wks old in November 2018. She is a Doberman/Rottweiler mix. When my husband first saw her, she was so tiny and pretty banged up with a fresh scar on her nose. But we instantly fell in love with her. We have always had big breed dogs, but Lexey is our first female and first working breed. For 5 mths, our household was turned upside down. Her endless energy gave us many sleepless nights and our older dog was clearly bothered with this sudden change in his routine. We registered her for a 6 week puppy class who taught us the basics but she started developing behaviours that we had a hard time correcting (despite all the youtube videos). Jumping, counter-surfing, biting, guarding were some behaviours that were developing at full speed. She was getting bigger and stronger by the minute and it became alarming. The biggest issue we encountered was walking on leash. She was so reactive. When she had to relieve herself, she became overly hyper and aggressive. She would bite my arms, pant legs, pushing and shoving. It would stop when I would take her to the backyard and remove the leash. We couldn’t walk more than 4 houses in case she would act out because she had to poop. There was a lot of scratches and a lot of tears. She was 7 mths and we didn’t know what to do. We needed help. I turned to the internet, and iTrainK9 popped up. I read everything on their website and watched their videos. I started following them on Instagram and it was through one of their stories, that I messaged “HELP”. In comes iTrain. A phone call from Kat put my mind at ease. All my questions and concerns were answered. This was all new to us and Kat ensured we had all the information we needed before we made the decision to leave our puppy with them for 30 days. For the 1st time in 5 mths we had some feeling of hope.Meghan and Jason were AMAZING with her. So full of knowledge and available to answer questions that would pop up in my head randomly. Everything we saw on their videos were reflective in Lexey when she came home. She’s been back for 3 weeks and no regrets. We work with her everyday (with the guidance and support from the iTrain team). And our household has been a lot calmer for it. We really want Lexey to succeed and were not prepared to give up on her.AND the best part that came out of this... we can ALL walk for more than 4 houses now!!! She loves her leash and the adventures she knows she can now go on! Thank you iTrain K9 for teaching, guiding and giving us our home back. So glad we found you. More...

Wilson has been home from his month long behaviour modification training for almost 2 months. We are all so pleased with the changes in his behaviour. He hasn't had any accidents in the house, he is sleeping through the night, and has been well behaved with the kids/other pets. I was initially really weary of sending my darling dog away for a month, but Kat assured me it would all be worth it. The team @ ITRAINK9 (Jason, Megan and Kat) have helped us to create our dream dog. We have become consistent with Wilson with their encouragement and support. No regrets. More...

We weren't sure where to turn for help training our GSP puppy and had tried a few different places/classes with no real results. Jason, Megan and Kat, the incredible iTrain team, worked with our Gord during their 4 week board and train program to help give him the confidence he needed and provided us with tools and training to continue building on the foundation they laid. We welcomed home a calm, confident dog who's awesome personality still shines through. Thank you!! More...

I am a very detailed and descriptive person plus I rely a lot on reviews to make my decisions on things so here we go. I have a 15 month old french bulldog named Axel, my dog is a very chill homebody dog with my hubby and I but with others...not so much. Let's start of with our 11yo and 17yo sons, he'd just not respect them at all. Jumping on them, not listening. He'd also go for food as soon as it fell on the floor or just come speeding to the kitchen when he heard any commotion in there just waiting for you to drop something he can snack on. Daycare, Axel was at daycare and every time he came home there would be a new scab or cut on his body. The daycare provider would tell me he's been on constant time outs. When we sent him to overnight boarding he'd come home and start doing things he's not allowed to do at home which told me the overnight caregivers were allowing him to do things that were against the rules in our home. Dog walks, now that's when things got really crazy. Axel would just randomly get up in other dogs faces for whatever reasons not even realizing that the other dog can possibly kill or severely injure him. Things were getting crazy, it's like he just wanted to rebel and forget everything we taught him and it just got worse with the daycare not continuing with the rules and structure we had set out for him. So i pulled him out of daycare and started doing some research online because I tried the local trainers and no offence, they were too soft and my dog just didn't care nor did he even retain anything he was taught. I came across iTraink9 on Instagram randomly and desperately tried getting in contact with them because everything they were teaching just made total sense, so much structure, consistency and you can tell they care about all the dogs. These guys have it all down packed and I was insanely impressed. So I said screw it, I'm sending my dog in for the 4 week behaviour modification program. That was the best money I've ever spent on this wonderful dog of mine. He did a total 360. I am no dog trainer and I needed assistance on how to get my dog on the right path. This facility did that and in the right way. I just got Axel back yesterday after being there for the 30 days program and 5 more days because I was delayed from bad weather to pick him up. When I picked him up I did a 60-90 minute review on everything he was taught, all the recalls, hand signals, tones of voice to use and all the new equipment with the functions. He knows how to follow me for walks using the heel method walking etiquette, he knows his place, to stay down on command, when to leave his place on command, down stay, he doesn't barge in any doors before me, he doesn't eat food off the floor, jump up on our kids or random people, he doesn't even flinch to check a dog on his walks. He's changed in so many different ways and I'm so proud of him and so thankful for Jason and the staff at iTraink9. This is what you call OUTSTANDING SERVICE. I learned so much about prong collars and e-collars and how they protect my dog, always do your research. My family loves Axel and are all learning everyday the recalls and why it's important to stay consistent. I can tell Axel is very relaxed and happy now, he isn't confused and we have such a clear line of communication amongst each other. I can go on for days but honestly the choice is really up to you. I'm just going to keep on making update videos on my social media for others to see because the results are incredible and it's something I want to share because I truly believe in it. More...

Very simple - Jason and his staff at iTrainK9 are world class!! Between my friend and I we’ve sent three American Bully’s to Jay. All three attended their 4 week board and train, with one of the dogs attending twice (for more advanced sport training). After the 4 weeks, all our guys came home with outstanding manners whilst keeping their loveable personality’s!! To add to that, the staff at iTrainK9 follow up and answer any questions you have so as to keep the training as consistent as possible! Jay has always answered my questions in less than an hour of me asking it. Simple, they’re outstanding and worth every penny! More...

Jason and Meghan were both amazing with our very strong willed puppy. They educated us on how to continue with training, and were very supportive once we got our dog home. Worth the investment!

We left our dog with Jason and Megan for the four week board and train program and are so happy we did! Before her stay our one year old pup was reactive to other dogs on a leash, jumped up, lacked impulse control and was insecure. She has been home now for a week and what a difference. Walks are now fun, she doesn’t run barking to the door when the bell rings or at things in the yard. She is a much more relaxed and focused dog. We always new she was smart but this training has given both us and her much more confidence. We both have the skills now to continue to improve. With that being said it’s not an easy process once they come home. There is still lots to be done, be consistent and practice practice! She has definitely tested us since she’s been home but we expected that. It’s a lot of work but so worth it - thank you!! More...

We dropped off our loving but goofy GSD/Lab mix (read leash-pulling, scent driven) 4 weeks ago and came home with our still loving but now gentlemanly dog, on Saturday. Our walks have become a thing of joy for me. Thank you so much, Jason and Megan. Your facility is brilliant, and your methods work - but best of all, I know you love all the dogs you train, because of how well our boy was looked after. Thank you! More...

I train k9 has totally transformed my Bella into a different dog. (Well behaved and enjoyable to have around.) Thank you Jason and staff for helping me have a dog I grow more in love with every day. Before sending her to you, I was so hopeless, not knowing what to do with her. I was ready to find her a new home. As even the simple things like taking her for a walk, seemed like drudgery. She would bark and snap at every moving thing, even leaves. Not to mention people. Now I love taking her for walks. She is so calm and quiet. This is why you have a dog, to be a companion who you enjoy being with.Thank you, thank you, thank you!C Romijn More...

Our dog used to behave like a disobedient teenager. He would bark all day long at everyone and everything that passed by our home. He would take over the sofa like it was his own. He would beg for food during meals. And don’t even get me started on how poorly he listened or how terrible his recall was. After 5 weeks with Jason and his team, Duke is a very obedient and confident dog. He sits on place all day, every day. His recall and response to commands is vastly improved. He doesn’t beg for food, because he isn’t allowed to leave his bed unless we tell him to and that means he isn’t anywhere near the kitchen table. Same is to be said about activity on the sofa (it’s non existent). The best result for us though, is by far the progress made with his barking. We finally have a quiet home that we can enjoy, which, when you have two kids under two, is a blessing. We are so pleased with the work that Jason and his team accomplished with Duke. More...
