My daughter has been in Music Kids for several sessions and loves the singing, games, and interaction with other kids. Definitely a fun way for us to spend some quality time together!

Well managed music school. We've been attending with our various young children for about four years. Many of the instructors have been excellent but on the odd occasion management has been very receptive to feedback. The school is now located in the basement located via stairs on the right hand side. The unfortunate part is being located in Marda Loop. That means terrible parking and traffic. Very narrow lanes and near misses. More...

CSM has incredibly talented and dedicated staff and offers lots of opportunities for both fun and enrichment for their students. Our daughter studied piano there for 5 years. Her teacher really tailored the lessons to work with her strengths and interests, and we were really pleased at how much she learned and how quickly she advanced as a result. More...

Wonderful children's programs, lessons and teachers. The classes are enthusiastically taught and well thought out. My son loved going to them so much that we ended up going at least twice a week!

I've had the pleasure of taking the Adult Guitar Boot Camp on two occasions, and each time it was fantastic. The teachers were always approachable and engaging, and taking the classes re-ignited a love of playing music that went out more than thirty years ago. I'm looking forward to signing up for classes again. More...

My daughter is in her fourth year of attending piano lessons at Chinook School of Music. She loves it and I love it. The staff/instructors are so supportive and encouraging of her piano abilities. Before finding CSM my older daughter took piano lessons at another music school in Calgary that we chose mostly based on proximity to our house. Once we found CSM we knew it was a superior learning environment that fit the needs (and wants) of our family. My daughter is very shy and she has had the bonus of being able to participate in the PEP (Performance Enhancement Program) which significantly helped improve her recital preparation and reduce those nerves. My son has been taking piano lessons at Chinook for about 3 years. He really enjoys the lessons, largely because his teacher, Michael, works with him to make music an enjoyable learning experience. My son learns pretty quickly by ear, but said one of his objectives was to learn to sight read better. So the teacher incorporated both into the lessons. So successful!! It’s a great team experience, and I can’t sing Michael’s praises enough. More...

I started as an adult student completely new to reading music. I began my adult journey with the goal to learn how to play the piano. I have treasured my experience with Chinook School of Music. I've valued my options to explore working with different teachers who were accepting of my reality of not always being able to practice regularly. I have loved performing and attending the adult recitals. This has provided a magical opportunity to witness so many other adult students exploring voice and numerous instruments with a full spectrum of beginners to advanced learners. My daughter started taking piano at Chinook soon after I began and we both have learned so much. Our teacher even supported us to play a duet together. During the summer we have taken advantage of the option to experiment with different teachers and instruments and I have been impressed by the friendly and responsive customer service. I tell all of my friends about this amazing studio because of the incredible experience my daughter and I have had going on 5 years plus! More...

The teachers here are some positive and caring for the little children that learn here. They truly love music and their passion shows to both the parents and children. The classrooms are clean and bright. There are a great variety of musical items that the kids get exposed to in order to ignite or continue to grow their interest and love of music. The only limitation would be that due to it being on the second floor with no elevator it would be difficult to access for any handicapped individuals. More...

At the age if 40 I gingerly decided to renew my piano lessons after several decades. Carrie took me on as a student and over 5 years helped me complete my grade 8 conservatory. She was a very patient teacher. Thank you Carrie. I recommend this studio highly. More...
