In preparation for becoming a mom I stumbled upon this facility. I can say It is one of the BEST places to go when anticipating motherhood. I was welcomed to connect with other moms, learned about lactation and was offered parental education classes. Ideal for first time mothers. I could write a whole book about this place but am just gonna say it’s amazing. Treated me like family, they have been my strongest support system from the very first call I made wanting an abortion to now that I hv my baby. All the programs they haves require amazing and am forever grateful ❤️. Give them a call.. it doesn’t Matter what your problem is necessarily..for they will figure it out and will get u a solution. Pregnancy is such an amazing experience, it can also be very rough physically, financially, and psychologically. The Gianna Centre is not just a resource to aid those in financial need; it is also a place to feel safe, welcome, connected, where one can share with out being judged, and most of all like a part of a family. My younger children have accompanied me to the centre for cooking classes, support groups, even just to talk, or the amazing doula, and now they ask to go visit their friends there. I've even caught them referring to some of the ladies who work there as " my Aunty ". I am so grateful to have the Gianna Centre in my life for the past 6 months and am looking forward to a continuing relationship after my child is born if it's through the support groups or if it's through volunteering my time in any way I can. Words can not express how greatful we are to have found an extended family who shows a genuine concern and is always looking to help. I highly recommend the Gianna Centre, the people who contribute to the success of the centre and it's attendants are truly amazing! As volunteer at Gianna Centre since December 2016, I have witnessed how this Ministry supported wholeheartedly its clients with compassion, dedication and commitment. The Manager herself, Ms. Vera Fischer is such a committed person who has reached out to all the clients even beyond her call of duty & after office hours. Ms. Fischer acknowledged and appreciated the contributions made by all volunteers with total care. I was referred to free medical check up and free laboratory tests while volunteering. I was happy to note that Ms. Vera Fischer was very instrumental in the approval of my permanent residence visa. I am enjoying very much my volunteer work while relating and serving all its clients. Gianna Centre, is a Ministry under Catholic Social Services that is offering friendship and practical support to pregnant women with pregnancy tests, information about parenting and adoption, non diagnostic ultrasounds, maternity clothes, baby care items, socialization and classes for new and expecting moms. Gianna Centre also provides other services like referrals to pro-life doctors and lawyers, financial support, housing options, and counselling, Teen Start facility education, and partnerships with groups who have a similar vision and mission. As such we are requesting approval for new location for the expansion and development of Gianna Centre in achieving its goal of promoting sanctity and beauty of all human life as a gift from God through service, education and authentic care for the family.
