Fun evening, excellent menu it is disappointing that it is so hard to get a reservation. Have been a couple of times and although I have experienced a very difficult time booking online there are many empty tables. Only able to get a 5:00 time did not leave until almost 7:15 and there were quite a few empty table which meant we should have been able to get the 6/6:30 time we were requesting.Service was excellent everyone at the table of 6 enjoyed the evening. Wanted to check this place out before their lobster festival ends this summer. We decided to go during the week in case it gets too crowded on a Friday and weekend (sure enough anyways they are booked up for those days). I called to make a reservation. I had my 4 year old, and my 2 year old and spouse so I specifically asked for a more private room because myKids are nuts and I want to enjoy a nice dinner, in peace. Sure enough they did, we had private area to the right side after entering the restaurant and it was amazing. Facing the golf course. Super private and intimate. So thankful for that. Staffs are very welcoming and friendly. Super bubbly staff/bar girl. They accommodate to my kids from the start (have them drawing papers and shared crayons). However the server we got was very dismissive; almost always in a hurry. When we got in and got seated he asked what we wanted right away as if he assumed we were gonna get the 3 course meal. It was our first time there a little conversation like what can I get for your drinks would of been great or have you had the chance to look at the menu, have you been here before? Do you want to hear about our specials? You know the normal annoying questions but helpful at the end of the day. So that was a big turn off but I still gave him 20% tip regardless because it's not an easy job.  I just expected a little more from him since they pan out the resto to be a modern casual. The food is decent. With the picture showing on social media you'd expect some fancy taste to it but it was just medium Jorge. It wasn't bad at all though. My kids had the chicken finger and it was very dry. Everything else was good. Steak and lobster, lobster burger, spinach cannelloni, edamame salad was on point. That price point of $29-3-course meal is worth it. Generous portion. The desert was delicious but no wow factor about it. Overall our experience was delightful and we will be back again to really enjoy other stuff on the menu. PS I read here that it was hard to find, no not really. The bad -- I always get lost trying to get here. Somehow my GPS always sent me in the other direction or just stopped short of the location. So unless you are very familiar with the golf course and Burnaby Mountain, give yourself extra time to get there. The restaurant decor is lovely with lit up words (DRINK, EAT etc) and woodsy interior. There are 2 semi-private corners which will be very nice if you want some privacy with your friends. The patio is also a good option on sunny clear days as you get a view of people playing golf. Food wise, it is hit and miss. Some days the food is really done very nicely, and others, it can be much better. The star on the menu is always the $29 3-course dinner when lobster is back in season. It is very worth it as you get an appetizer and main and dessert. The consistent item which is so sinfully delicious is the garlic bread. Buttery to the end. SO good. It is way easier to get a reservation here compared to the sister outlet at Riverway as it is open for dinner every night. So I will still come here. More...

I have been here for both lunch and dinner. Both times, the food was delicious. The view was gorgeous, especially if you manage to snag a table by the window/door. Mini rolling hills made it seemed like you are away in the countryside or in another country. Sunset made it even prettier. I can see why this is a popular venue for weddings. It can be tough to get reservations for dinner as it is only opened twice a week for dinner. Not sure if this is a summer hours or year round thing.You can get a good deal for dinner as it tends to have a 3-course set dinner for $29. It is particularly popular when it has the steak and lobster promo, so do book early. The lunch menu is also good. I enjoyed the food I had for both lunch and dinner. The lobster was done very nicely, succulent and sweet, not overcooked at all. Cocktails were a bit pricey at around $12 range, and they were quite weak too.Service was good, though the server forgot some of our requests during lunch. Maybe it was because we were a big group (8 persons per table). Parking is easy as there are two huge lots out front though it gets crowded. Came by to try their steak and lobster special. So beautiful.Parking is available in the lot in front of the building. It goes get full though. The venue is really nice. Plenty of stone, wood, and glass. Pretty impressive for a government owned facility. Looks like the summer version of a ski lodge. There is a large outdoor patio area with a stunning view of the surrounding golf course. There's a lake with a fountain, as well as lots of rolling hills.Staff were friendly and professional.Spinach & ricotta canneloni - great tomato bisque sauce. Wiped it all with the included garlic toast slices. Pasta is al dente.Steak & lobster - steak is about the size of a smartphone and maybe twice as thick. Cooked just the way I asked, and served with a puddle of gravy. Lobster is served butterfly style. The only thing missing was a dish of clarified butter, but I didn't ask. The Yukon Gold garlic mashed potatoes were nice and mashed (ie no lumps), and the vegetables consisted of beans, tomatoes in chunk form, and mushrooms. Nice buttery taste.Blueberry cheesecake - nice and firm. Served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Fruit smear was nice and tangy.The overall food portion isn't the biggest (like most fine dining places), but the quality was impeccable. My friends and I were definitely impressed.
