Charles and his team are professional, personable, knowledgeable and their programs are designed to strengthen your body and build lean muscles to help you perform at your peak. They also motivate and support your exercise routine, while paying attention to proper form. I have seen remarkable improvements in clients physical appearance, overall strength, posture and lifting form, and mind-body connection. FIVE STAR ALL THE WAY! More...

Training at EAT has been an amazing experience. At first, I was skeptical about joining since I didn't particularly enjoy weight lifting, and as someone who works a sedentary job, I didn't think I would fit in. However, Charles and his team changed my perception on day 1. The EAT team are experienced professionals who take a holistic approach towards your health. My trainer Josh has been amazing, it’s clear that he and Charles are passionate about seeing each client progress and achieve their goals - whether you are an athlete or someone looking to get in shape. Weight lifting has become a positive experience for me. Every session has challenged me to become the best version of myself. I recommend EAT without reservation! More...

I'm a 41 year old "executive" running a web/video agency and I have been working out with Charles at EAT for 6 months. I turned 41 one month ago and I feel better than I did at 31. I must say though, I didn't think I had it in me, in fact some days I still don't think I have it in me and then I go to the gym and prove myself wrong because there's someone there to push me. I have worked out with trainers before and on my own and I now realize that I wasn't even working out... let alone working out properly. Having my own drill sergeant has been the recipe for results. Having someone correct me over and over again until I get it right, because it matters. My life has been changed, my bad habits, erased! Before I would dread the gym and now I count down the minutes. I went from one day a week to 3 and now I workout from home on the weekend too, just so I can feel that feeling that I get after a great workout. I am more confident, my anxiety has chilled out and I see things much more clearly. My brain is functioning at a higher capacity because I am eating better and drinking less. I don't recognize the guy in the mirror and definitely didn't think I could get myself here at 41. This is not a fashion gym, you won't find stair masters and treadmills, we workout and that is the cardio. These trainers actually train. They don't just walk you from machine to machine because of what YOU want to do... they sculpt you based on your goals. Don't make excuses. I used to... then I realized that all the things that were holding me back were just my fears of failing. My knees hurt, my back hurts, my legs hurt... not anymore. My knees hurt because I had no muscle because I sat all day and night. My back and legs hurt because I had no core muscles anymore and I was carrying around extra weight. I was tired because I was lazy. I wouldn't have even had enough energy to write this review lol. I am so passionate about what has happened to me over the last 6 months that I just can't say enough about EAT, my home away from home. Let me manage your expectations, it's not a country club, there is no magic pill, it takes work. This is where you come to WORKOUT. You only get stronger and more mobile by putting in the effort. You need this, you deserve this. Don't cheat yourself... EAT! More...

Great gym and facility. Charles and Tyson as well as all the other staff at the gym are extremely knowledgeable. As an athlete that has worked with them for quite some time, I could not recommend a gym more that can get you strong and ready for the season in your respective sport. Even non-athletes that are simply looking to get in better shape need to look no further. Gives these guys a chance and they will do wonders for you!!! More...

Training at EAT has changed my life, and I couldn't be more grateful! From my first meeting with Charles & Neil, all my concerns - as a female & a non-athlete - about "gym culture" were set to rest. The owner Charles has created a incredibly positive, professional environment, and this standard of friendliness & respect is shared by the training team, as well as the clients. I can honestly say I have never once felt uncomfortable or self-conscious there - which is truly a testament to Charles' values & commitment to excellence. No workplace or recreational environment I have ever encountered has a more exemplary, professional, safe environment. My trainer Neil's dedication is unparalleled. I'm not naturally inclined to take instruction & also had reservations about working with a male trainer, but I have never had the pleasure of working with someone so professional, patient & attentive! His training has given me the ability & confidence to do the impossible, while feeling safe every step of the way. During my first consultation they correctly identified physical issues without my telling them, and this level of attention & insight is the reason they are so trusted. After 3 sessions, the knee pain I had been suffering from for months was gone. And as someone who couldn't squat with no weight, being able to now squat my body weight (and counting!) seems like a dream! When you train here, you have the benefit of the combined knowledge of the EAT training team. They have a reputation as a popular facility for elite athletes, so for someone like me it was amazing to see how willing they are to focus their wealth of expertise on my particular goals. I recommend EAT to anyone without reservation! Whether you are an elite athlete or just looking to improve your strength & well-being, their individualized, results-driven, comprehensive approach will help you achieve your fitness goals. More...

If you want fitness results, look no further.Charles is a “strength whisperer”, he has an eye to spot areas of weakness that stand in the way of achieving your goals. I came to EAT a year and half ago, still recovering from my motorcycle accident. I was barely able to squat 300 pounds, but Charles challenged me to set a goal of 400 pounds. In my mind it was totally unachievable, but was interesting to pursue. With Charles’ guidance I hit the goal 9 months later. At the same time he improved my form, mobility, and flexibility.   After a short period of time the gym became like a second home. It is always clean and the equipment is readily available, which is what you expect from a studio gym. Its not uncommon to run into the same people, and it’s especially refreshing to experience such sincere friendliness. Its also amazing and inspiring to see the progress of others. There’s everything from elementary kids, university athletes, to older executives. And everyone is moving forward, getting stronger, faster and leaner, every week.If you are looking for a place to train downtown, Toronto, want results and are willing to work hard, look no further than EAT and Charles. I would suggest EAT to anyone, regardless of fitness, who wants the best experience and results from their training. I've been training for almost 10 years in gyms across Toronto and the GTA. The last year I have spent at EAT has been invaluable in my training unlike any other gym. Tyson and the EAT coaches drive their athlethes for overall improvment in their sport, whatever it is. I have trained as an amature powerlifter for several years and built up some bad habbits. Tyson hadn't trained a powerlifter like me before (specializing in other sports) but he took the time to adapt, learn, and build specific programs for me. I'm grateful for this because I believe that one program does not fit all. We have undone some of those bad habbits and are building better ones. I look forward to continue my training at EAT and competing in powerlifting in the future. More...

I never really considered weightlifting as a potential workout tool - as I felt it to be quite intimidating and out of my comfort zone. Since the beginning, Charles and his team have made the whole workout experience extremely comfortable and easy. That’s not to say that they don’t push you to your limits to ensure you are working out at your most optimal level. Neil is an absolutely fantastic trainer, his passion and commitment for his job is quite evident. He brings a wealth of knowledge, technique and most importantly a sense of humour to each training session. Since I started almost 6 months ago I have seen a huge improvement in my body composition. I’ve lost weight, gained muscle, increased my mobility and decreased bodily imbalances (caused by a previous knee injury). I’m looking forward to seeing what else I can achieve as I continue my workout journey. So in short - if you want excellent service, targeted attention and the facility to achieve and potentially surpass your fitness goals then Executive Athlete Training is the place to be. More...

As a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athlete, I have seen immense leaps in my performance both on and off the mats. Since working with Charles and the EAT team I have seen a massive jump in my success at competitions and in the training room. As a result, I highly recommend any athlete or individual get in touch with Charles and the team. The gym culture is extremely welcoming, and the staff are very knowledgeable and are able to assist you in many different ways when it comes to your overall physical and reaching any goals you might have. Along with increasing your performance and physical appearance there is also a big focus on injury prevention. recently I suffered a significant shoulder injury and was told by doctors that the only reason I will not be requiring surgery is because of the rigorous strength and conditioning program I have been on, and that is 100% thanks to the team at EAT. Thanks to Charles and the staff at EAT I have been able to take myself and my performance to the next level. Please do yourself a favour and check them out! More...

Charles embodies and instills the right attitude and approach to training. For many years I underestimated the value and importance of entering the gym in the right frame of mind. This by far proved to be the most pivotal element of my training. It enabled me to get quicker; better and more sustainable results. Personally I have been fortunate enough to train with EAT for the last 4 years. Throughout these 4 years EAT has not only helped me improve physically but also mentally through their extremely challenging programs. One of my favourite aspects about EAT is the competitive yet friendly atmosphere that really allows you to reach and exceed your potential while at the same time allowing you to make friends that will last a lifetime. I could not picture myself working along side anyone else when attempting to reach and exceed my goals. The experience that the entire team brings to the table really ensures everyone is accommodated to, no matter how big or how small your fitness goals might be! Everything is catered to best fit YOUR lifestyle whether that be personal training or strength training. I would highly recommend EAT to anyone that is interested in physically and mentally improving their wellbeing. More...

As someone who didn’t grow up with an athletic background and currently holds a sedentary job, it is unfathomable how Charles has helped me achieve my fitness goals AND set targets I never thought possible for myself. To be more specific, I went from not being able to lift a 5kg dumbbell to now being able to: squat more than my own weight and do more than five consecutive unassisted chin-ups! In the past three years that I have trained with Charles, I have become more self-assured inside and especially outside of the gym. I believe physical strength and mental strength ought to exist in tandem. I have always been rather intimated by gyms in general, as I have seldom had positive experiences with its stereotypical patrons. Charles and his team, however, are dedicated to ensuring a safe and open environment for women and men, young and old, novices and experienced enthusiasts alike. That is to say, when I step foot into EAT I am no longer my age, my gender, my overworked self; rather, someone simply working to continuously improve herself and challenge her personal best. After all, EAT or be EATEN! If you’re someone looking to realise your maximum potential amongst friends (because you WILL inadvertently become friends with the trainers and clients ), both physically and mentally, look no further than Charles and his professional and knowledgable team! The gym provides a competitive (yet friendly and supportive) culture that pushes me to train even harder through continued support from all of the coaches and other athletes who train there.
