Best selection of whiskeys and draft beers in town. The reason this place has done so well is the food. Comfort food you will soon crave and come back for. We spent a day in Barrie after picking up our daughter at Camp Ooch. We walked the lake front and wandered into the dining district of the downtown to find somewhere for lunch. The patio of Donaleighs was full but not jammed in a sunny, breezy Friday afternoon and we were able to sit outside on the charming patio. Ambiance was great, service was friendly and helpful with beer recommendations. I recommend the 3 speed lager from local Amsterdam brewery. Salt and Pepper wings were so good we had to order another pound and the Cobb salad was SO full of bacon and egg and chicken I couldn't finish it! Even better we had a lovely chat with some Barrie locals at then next table. The whole vibe was laid back, friendly and easy. Definitely recommend. More...
