I've never had success with a traditional gym membership. A few months in I'd be skipping workouts and making excuses as to why I couldn't go on any given day. The format that crossfit Bradford uses has made such a difference for me. I very regularly attend 3 classes a week and have seen amazing results because of it. Crossfit Bradford has amazing coaching and the owners Laura and Dan really work hard to ensure results and positive experience for their members. WOW where do I start . I can't even remember when I started lol( not because I'm old :) ) I've worked out by myself and joined other gym's and this is the best community and most challenging WOD's and the best people that I have ever met , from the first time you walk in the door you are welcomed . I was nervous about joining a new gym at first. Owners Dan & Laura were more then welcoming and helped me to get ready to jump into my first class! I joined CrossFit Bradford last summer to help me lose some weight and get more active. I was nervous, though, because I had heard CrossFit was for young and spirited millennials, extreme athletes, and fitness fanatics... and I sure wasn't that! (I was 39 years old. I'd have a perfectly normal BMI if I was two feet taller. And to me, "Netflix and Chill" means sitting my big butt on the couch and having a movie marathon.) But CFB co-owner Laura convinced me to give it a try, so I did.
I started by attending two classes a week. After a few months, I added a third class. And these days, I go most weekday mornings.
Here's the thing... according to my fancy bathroom scale, I haven't lost much weight. I'm down about 25lbs, which sounds like a lot until you hear where I was when I started! But a few other really strange things have happened...
- My clothes have all gotten bigger! The waist on my jeans has stretched so much that if I don't wear a belt, I'm likely to lose my pants in public. #PublicIndecency Shirts that used to make me look like I was auditioning for the role of the Pear in those old Fruit of the Loom ads now look baggy on me. Fortunately, my underwear has stayed the same size.
- My children have gotten lighter! The scale says my two oldest have a combined weight of 140lbs, but that just can't be right... they feel so much lighter when they fall asleep on my couch, and I have to put them over my shoulders and carry them both up a flight of stairs to bed. In fact, everything feels lighter now, like attending CrossFit class every weekday morning has somehow changed my personal gravity. Need a box moved? No problem... light as a feather!
- The air quality in my home has improved. I mean, it's the only explanation I have for being able to breathe so much easier. For instance, after carrying my kids up that flight of stairs, I used to sound like a 5-pack-a-day smoker. Now I'm not out of breath at all.
The coaches at CFB are great. They all understand that I'm not an elite athlete, and help me modify the workouts so that they're challenging, but possible for me to complete. The people who are at CFB are even better. The regular members of my morning class even have a private Facebook Messenger group where we get together and talk about how well members did that day, or who skipped class because "burpees" was on the schedule (usually me), or just to send around a funny workout-related meme.
If you think you can do CrossFit or you think you can't, you're probably right.

Started crossfit for the first time five months ago. Never worked out a day before joining cfb. All the couches including the owners Dan and Laura have been more then helpful in teaching proper techniques and good form. The programing is great and has you doing new and exciting workouts everyday. I have already made it farther than I ever thought I would, when i first started.
I started the first two months on the limited membership and half way through the second month I knew I wanted to switch to unlimited and now find myself in the gym at least five times a week.
I have so many more goals that I want to reach now. And I know with the help from the whole cfb team, members and coaches, it wont be hard or long until I achieve them.
Would highly recommend this to anyone from beginner to expert, that is looks for a change in their life or a new box to try.

At the beginning you will think you're just joining a gym, that you need somewhere to get a good sweat on and be done. That will quickly change! What you have just joined is a family.
The community of CrossFit Bradford is unique. Sure, when you join at first you think to your self it's difficult, why did I choose this...it's just not for me. But what you will quickly feel is a pat on the back, a high five and a loud round of applause urging you to push on. This community HAS GOT YOUR BACK!
The Owners and Coaching Staff will help you to achieve targets you never thought possible in a safe, friendly and empowering atmosphere. Not to mention all the members you will come to meet are just as friendly, welcoming and amazing.

I joined crossfit bradford about a year ago. I was very hesitant at first because I had never done any kind of real lifting, and I'm not one for big crowds. However right away the coaches and all the members make you feel very welcome. Everyone is very encouraging and always willing to help you reach new goals and personal bests. My wife and I joined about 8 months ago after getting bored of working out in our basement.... Probably the best decision we ever made for our overall health and well being. Exceptional coaching staff and owners that truly care about seeing you succeed and one of the most amazing membership communities we have ever been a part of. I joined Crossfit Bradford 6 months ago and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. When you first start you are going to feel like it is too tough and you want to stop, but don't.Give it time, let your body adjust to working out. The coaches and the other athletes will help you; I have never found a place to be so supportive of one another from competition to just a regular workout you are going to feel welcomed. Crossfit Bradford is the best thing that's happened to me for my mental and physical health! Being a competitive gymnast up until I found out I was pregnant, I always had a sport and competitive edge and something healthy to look forward too. After I had my son I gained a lot of weight and fell into a bit of an excersice rut, and found it hard to get back into gymnastics and working out due to the extra weight! When I joined Crossfit Bradford, it gave me back the motivation, competitiveness and something healthy that I really enjoy doing and can look forward to 6 days a week. My boyfriend and I dropped in for a class while in the area visiting family. We loved the programming and appreciated the support from both the coaches and members.
