After only two introductory sessions, I received plenty of useful information on form and technique, and left each session feeling motivated and eager to get back in the gym. I've been a client of Kevin's (BodyPerformance) for a while now and I really can't say enough good things about my experience with him as a coach and personal trainer. When I first approached Kevin, I had ZERO experience lifting weights and very little confidence in my physical abilities, but I knew that I wanted to make a change in myself. Kevin was incredibly knowledgeable and guided me patiently through the training sessions as I began to learn and grow. I must of grinned for a week straight the first time I squatted my body weight - there was no way only a few short months before that I would've thought I would ever be capable of something like that. Similarly, when Kevin suggested that I consider entering a powerlifting meet, my mind couldn't even imagine it. Never in a million years would I have ever thought I would have the confidence to do something like that. Never, not me. But he encouraged me and supported me with training plans, nutritional advice, form reviews and and constant reminders to stay focused and accountable to the end goal. I'm really excited to attend my first meet in two months and there's no way I would've ever considered this without Kevin's coaching, I'm 100% sure of that. I'm still very much a beginner though, and I know that I will be benefiting from his coaching for years to come. The reason Kevin is such a great coach - besides his wealth of knowledge and personal experience - is because he sincerely wants to see you succeed. Many times during my training Kevin has believed in me when I couldn't even believe in myself, and for me that was the difference between success and failure. I feel like a new person sometimes - I feel stronger and so much more energetic, I'm healthier and look better in the mirror. Most importantly, my self-confidence is much higher than it's ever been, and my friends and family comment frequently on the positive changes they've seen in my life. The only regret I have is that I didn't reach out sooner. I did a consultation with Kevin a little over a month ago, and have been doing training sessions with him 3 times a week since then. I was not really too sure what to expect going in to meet him, but I am glad that I did. I have been working out for about 5 years, but was not really happy with the progression I was seeing. It seemed like no matter how much effort I put in I was stuck at roughly the same level of appearance and ability. One month after my consultation, and 12 sessions later, it is clear to me why I was stuck. In that month Kevin has identified the key points that were holding me back, designed a personalized strategy to help me overcome those weak areas, and put me on the fast track to constant improvement in the gym. I have worked with a few trainers over the years in franchise style gyms like Good Life and World Health, but this was a completly different experience. It is obvious to me looking back that although I was putting in a ton of effort, if I kept doing what I assumed was best I probably would never have gotten to where I want to be. Now every time I step into the gym I am confident that the work I am putting in is as efficient as possible. I can already see and feel the results. I should also mention that this is 2 years after a reconstructive surgery on my shoulder that I thought would limit me for the rest of my life. For the first time ever on Friday I lifted more than I did pre-injury with that arm. When I look back on this time in 6 months/1 year/10 years from now, I am 100% confident that I will be extremely happy that I decided to invest in myself and evolve physically. More...

I cannot say enough good things about Kevin. After trying other gyms and coaches, I never felt motivated or like I improved. I'd leave the gym thankful the work out was over. With Kevin, I'm always looking forward to the next session. He listens and understands your goals, and works with you to achieve them. Kevin is easily approachable and very knowledgable; I trust every word he says. He believes in my own ability more than I do. At 45 years of age I had been lifting for most of my life. Kevin has very quickly been able to assess and coach me on improving my technique in several movements which I had been executing incorrectly. He has put together a custom program to focus on achieving strength and mobility goals which has surpassed my expectations.
