I looked forward to Saturday's yoga retreat, knowing I would enjoy it...various yoga classes, meditation, nutrition, posture analysis. ..what's not to love? Bottom line: it far exceeded my expectations. If I had to choose my top two activities, they would be the restorative yoga with hot stones (10 out of 10), followed by meditation. Fingers crossed that those activities can make it onto the Rec Centre 2020 calendar. Kudos to Debbi, whom I understand planned and was in charge of our excellent day. More...

I've been here since last March. For now I can say that: fitness center is nice, clean and they offer clean towels every day for the whole day. The pool outside is also nice and safe (people are checked before entering for children sake), water is checked during the day to ensure that is fresh and clean. Someone said that the gym-fitness center is overpriced. I disagree: you'll pay between 36 and 50 monthly according to the length of your plan (for example Goodlife membership starts $17.99 *per week* and vary depending on membership type and location). Anyway some facilities are available also without membership. Maybe it could be considered as less fashion and colourful than other places, but it's near home and it's essential for the fitness needs of common people with a schedule from 6am to 9pm and many types of activities for the whole family. I’d like to start of by saying I have been a tenant/community member for a few years now and agree with the frustration that other tenants/reviewers have stated and written; things are very maddening for those of us living here. That being said, my experiences have been excellent when it comes to ALL employees (management and maintenance) and I have felt that they genuinely care about the concerns and issues I have raised; even though their hands are tied at times (you can’t evict everyone I say in my sarcastic voice). Now to the concerns and issues; if you take the time to read these reviews and listen to other tenants complaints most of them have to do with the lack of respect from other tenants- parking, smells, out of control children, garbage etc. and not Accora itself.Recently I read a review about the noise from construction and fire alarm testing. My first thought is- Are you bloody serious? Thank God Accora cares enough to fix the building structure and ensure YOU will be alerted if there ever was a fire! And yes, this comes from someone who hears the noise daily!I’d also like to point out that I have witnessed and heard the verbal assaults that these employees have to tolerate daily by spoiled rotten tenants who need a good spanking, yes I’m referring to the adults as well! We are all humans with feelings and complaining because the outdoor parking lot is dirty, wanting YOUR windows cleaned for you, or not liking how the grass is cut is just ludicrous! NOWHERE else do landlords bend over backwards and get smacked in the face for it!If you don’t like it- MOVE!However, I do believe management should step it up and stop bending over the way they are. If tenants can’t respect you, they certainly won’t respect each other! If children are playing in parking lots (which they do, the garden home area is absolutely full of out of control children and parents DO NOT parent) EVICT THEM! No one should have to live with neighbours and in a neighbourhood like that! Start following through with the “rules” and expectations and hold people accountable! I’d also like to point out that most business have signs up that say “no physical or verbal abuse of staff will be tolerated”- invest in one!So for those of you considering moving to Accora- It is a wonderful neighbourhood with a lot of potential, but as you may have read it will depend on whom your neighbours are.5 Stars for the company-1 Star for tenants/Neighbours More...

Lived here for 4 months now. Maybe I'm just lucky with quiet neighbours, but I don't know why others are complaining about noise. .. it hasn't been an issue. The in-suite washer/dryer is fine, you just need to read the instruction book and change up your settings a bit.Edit: Been living here for a year now, and I stand by the above review. More...

This has honestly been the smoothest move I’ve ever gone through. My super (coral building) is amazing- I had a problem with my freezer and they responded right away and within a few hours I had a whole new fridge as a backup in the meantime while mine is being fixed. The supers are so friendly here too, they’ve gone above and beyond to help me even offering a dolly for my move as well as setting up the service elevator a bit early in case I needed it. The tenants in this building are so friendly and welcoming and so far there’s no noise. I am so happy I decided to move here! More...

Great community to live in. Was living there for just over a year while going to school. The rent is reasonable, and the locations are great for getting around Ottawa by bus. There is a major bus terminal and a massive mall practically in the middle of the village, but the traffic does not normally suffer, unless it is nearing the holidays or black Friday, even then, not much delay at all. You are also really close to the 417 and other major road ways. The staff is friendly, respectful, and will act quick to fix any issues you may have. Lastly, there is a large movie theater and many diverse little grocery stores near by for almost any dietary needs. More...

With all of the recent renovations, the apartments are becoming very upscale, and even the lobbies of the buildings are amazingly decorated. The entire neighbourhood is getting an overhaul, and I really like that they have installed solar panels on the roofs of the town homes, utilizing space efficiently to help negate their impact on the environment.
