We received excellent advise from WoofBaby Den, and lots of easy to do training exercises for our 1-year old Sheppard Collie Rottweiler. We brought our puppy Rafi to Woofbaby den and he made an incredible connection with Michelle. As new dog owners, we felt a little loss and needed some direction. She gave us tips on crate training, leash walking and separation anxieties. Michelle provided us with a step by step printout to keep us on top of our training. Since our visit Rafi is a completely different dog, he’s no longer biting, more comfortable with his crate, more confident, and he has stopped peeing in the house. What we took away from our training session, was that we need to read Rafi and notice the signs. As much as he has to learn from us, we need to learn from him and give him what he needs. We plan on using Woofbaby Den in the future and if anything comes up that we need guidance with. Michelle is a great trainer. Huskies are difficult to train. They are stubborn and energetic, have a short focus and gets easily distracted. Our Husky is not Neutered- this stud has a huge hunting instinct and as a farm dog rarely gets to play with other dogs. Michelle has a way with him. She trained him to obey commands regardless of the fact that he is not food motivated and don’t appreciate treats. She corrected his impulse behaviour to jump out our car as soon as we stop, or run ahead as soon as we open the front door pulling me off my feet. He now waits for commands. I take Odin to Michelle on e a week for personal one on one training. His progress is consistent and noticeable. Michelle you are amazing! I am so impressed! My husband left a message after closing on Saturday because we needed a telephone consult with a behaviorist to advise us about integrating a new 1 year old male into our home with a blind, deaf and anxious 15 1/2 year old female. Michelle responded to my husband that same night and called us the next day! That was the one day a week that her business is closed!! Then Michelle allowed us to call Sunday evening because we were at the emerg vet with our 15 1/2 year old. Who does that?! Great service; great advise and terrific support. Michelle at Woofbaby is amazing! She has been working with our Labradoodle pup and we have seen such wonderful results. Never having owned a large breed dog before, we were completely overwhelmed with our doodle. Michelle was very patient and taught her all the basics thoroughly. I can provide online/remote services. Working with technology has really helped expand my ability to see what is happening whether you live near by or across the country. Videos of what your dog is doing and how they are improving helps me help you. Live webinars with you, followed up by written instructions, can reduce your dogs stress of having to attend a strange place.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Going on line and working outdoors. We did more through the internet with great success. When we could finally meet up, we spent all of our time outdoors and this was great for the dogs.
