60 minute private walk
Have your dog walked around your neighbourhood. Your dog will have time to read the neighbourhood pee-mail, work on sit-stays at intersections. We play 'Red Light-Green Light' for mild pullers on leash, 'Let's Go' and 'Change of Pace' to encourage attentiveness. We take water breaks as needed and obedience breaks (sits and downs) to refocus on the handler to promote calm behaviour. There is an option to have your dog transported to a more suitable walking location if deemed necessary.
Dog Camp
Have your dog transported to a beautiful trail for a 2 hour hiking excursion. From pick-up to drop-off we work on building manners to get leashed up to leave the house, practice loose-leash walking to the vehicle, cueing to enter and exit the vehicle calmly, sit-stays and down-stays in high distraction environment, and name recognition/recall practice. Dogs are rewarded through verbal and physical praise, and food rewards for self-regulating behaviour such as voluntary check-ins and are closely monitored for appropriate play. Trail etiquette techniques are employed to give other trail users space and keep everyone safe. Dogs must be non-reactive to other dogs and people to be able to participate. Basic obedience skills are an asset and all dogs must earn their way off leash though reliable recall practice.
60 minute training walk
