What do you love most about your job?
So I personally work full-time in the shelter system, providing primary health care to the most vulnerable in our society - those without housing. Yes, I take a pay cut there, but I know it's a service that has to be done, and I get a lot of my self-worth and value from it.
What I love about being a Nurse Practitioner is that the skills I gain are uniquely transferrable. In my private clinic (ViraniNPS.ca - the one I'm advertising here on Bark), I get to use my knowledge and experience to help those who are generally from a different world, but are equally as deserving of expert health care.
What inspired you to start your own business?
We truly care about our patients, and also believe health care should be accessible to everyone. Our own way of putting pressure on the Ontario government to cover NP services is by offering care privately to those who know that they don't deserve to be on wait lists in a broken system.
We simply go the extra mile. Whether you decide to be treated by myself or any of my NP associates in my clinic - rest assured you will receive premium health care from a compassionate provider.

My mom's a PhD nurse researcher, my dad's a pharmacist and ran a chain during his career. Knowledge translation, customer service, and providing premium product are simply part of my DNA. I don't want to just be anybody - I want to be the person you look to when you want the best. These are the values I've had throughout my academic and professional career, and that I continue to embody entrepreneurially.

We provide all of our services online. We use two main services in employing virtual health care - Doxy and Juvonno. Doxy is our telehealth software, and Juvonno is the creator of our Patient Portal. Don't stress about the semantics - just visit us at ViraniNPS.ca. We make the whole process easy.
Premium Checkup
For one health issue, receive a virtual appointment where you'll be asked a series of questions comprising a thorough health history. Then, we'll work together to create a personalized treatment plan with both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
Where medication is required, we'll fax the prescription straight to your pharmacy of choice. If you need forms filled out or a letter, we'll complete it and have it available for download in our Patient Portal.
Executive Consultation
For longer or multiple health issues, receive a virtual appointment where you'll be asked a series of questions comprising a thorough health history. Then, we'll work together to create a personalized treatment plan with both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
This consultation is different from a checkup as we'll have more time (up to 45 minutes) in our virtual appointment.
Where medication is required, we'll fax the prescription straight to your pharmacy of choice. If you need forms filled out or a letter, we'll complete it and have it available for download in our Patient Portal.
Signature ADHD Intake & Assessment
Have you had long-standing concentration, focusing or similar issues since childhood? We offer virtual ADHD consultations with 0 wait compared to other ADHD clinics.
Our intake includes provision and review of important screening forms that are used to guide our assessment.
During our assessment (up to 90 minutes on video chat), we delve deep into a medical, psychiatric and psychosocial health history, to determine if you may have ADHD or any other disorders that affect focus and concentration.
We also include relevant bloodwork/EKG requisition, treatment planning including accomodations and prescriptions (if appropriate), and a signed letter with results that will be available for download. Follow-ups after your assessment are available at our regular check-up rate.
