Don't let them take your money. Jason Gilmore will ask for a deposit and or payment for wall mount prior to install and then not show up. That is what he did to us. Look on yelp and you will see he does this to every customer he can. Why would you want to do business with someone like that? More...

AMAZING SERVICE! I called them up for a rush job to get my tv mounted about 3hrs ago, and they were able to make it here in less than an hour and the work is already done. Jason was courteous, professional, informative, and took his shoes off at the door without even being asked (that speaks volumes in itself). He got my input for every decision, hung the tv perfectly and even tucked the cables behind the drywall with a nice fixture at ground level for easy access; the fixture is perfectly level with the existing outlets too... just sayin'. I was worried about whether or not this would cost more than originally quoted because the materials used in the building are not easy to work with, but the price was exactly as stated over the phone-- no hassle and no games. And given the difficulty of the job, it's very obvious that he's done this thousands of times. I appreciated the level of expertise, the incredible fairness of the price (especially obvious if you've shopped around, and see what the going rates for the same, or even less work, are). The pro-tips he gave me on how to use my mount-- not even a mount they provided, were well received. The TL;DR here is that I would recommend VanCityHD to anyone who needs home audio/video work, and I will absolutely be using them again in the future. We had Vancity HD come mount our TV for us and we couldn't have been happier with the service and the result. Jason was an absolute pro, and his focus on detail and customer service was unparalleled. Best Audio Video installers in Vancouver. My work hored these guys to mount a projector in out boardroom last year. I was impressed with their work and asked for a business card.
I just bought a new place amd looked these guys up. They were awesome yet again. Clear pricing. They carry the full line of Kanto wall mounts. I went witht the FMX3. They made my tv and soundbar look awesome and everything works great. Recommmend these guys 100%. Very happy

I would highly recommend VancityHD! We live in an older house with plaster walls which are, as we have found out, very brittle and difficult to work with. To make things even more complicated we wanted our new tv mounted above our fireplace where the in-wall studs are placed vertically, horizontally, and diagonaly so having cables disguised in wall without damaging the wall "would be impossible" as we were told by two previous installers who attempted the job and had to leave unsuccessfully. Thankfully we were referred to VancityHD by some of our friends. These guys really know what they are doing!! Miro and Jason came on time, assessed the situation and immediately had a clever solution to this problem. I don't want to reveal too much of their trade secrets but the walls have no damage, the cables are not visible, and our new tv looks like a painting above our fireplace. Hired VanCity HD Technologies and their technicians for the second time in 3years. They helped me remove my 2 TVs and safely transport them to my new location. They wrapped my 2 TVs including my baby a 75" Samasung LED. They moved my TVs with 2 technicians Miro and Jason with more care than any movers. They arrived at my new place and suggested using IR repeaters to hide my devices so they would not be in sight. I was weary because I am not too technical but gave them the go ahead. The results were WOW. Awesome picture and no electronics showing (Shaw box, Apple TV and PS4 hidden). My sono playbar finally works worh all my devices My remotes also all work and I am the envy of all my friends. The finished product is awesome and I have recommended VanCity HD to all my friends. These guys came installed 2 TV's in my home. One in my living room about my fireplace, and one in my bedroom. The price was Reasonble since unlike their competitions where I purchased my tv they knew what they were doing and the wait for install was not 4 weeks. Alot of people are complaining about costs but we live in Vancouver people nothing is cheap, you get what you pay for, its labour, if you want cheap youll get cheap. I had them wall mount a 55" tv onto the wall with an outlet relocation and hiding the wires behind the wall. For an "average job", they were in no more than 75 minutes. The best part is that the pricing is very clear- unless you request extra work, there are no "hidden fees" or any upselling of any kind. Â And after shopping around a bit, they likely charge the best rates for the service provided. After all was said and done, very professional work was done. Rob and his partner were very polite and cordial. They constantly cleaned up after themselves and didn't leave a mess when the job was completed. Compared to getting an electrician just for the outlet relocation, Vancity HD is just a flat-out better deal (let's just say the quote from one electrician was slightly higher than the cost of the mount and outlet relocation). This isn't a DIY outlet relocation either (think Powerbridge products)- this is a new outlet with new romex etc.After watching them work, I can safely say that there's no way I could've done it that well that quickly myself (duh on the electrical work- get a pro!). I'm extremely happy with the work done and have no issues referring Vancity HD to anyone needing their tv mounted professionally. More...

Hooked everything up in my house, was friendly, knowledgeable and definitely knew what they were doing.

I was wanting to get a Security camera system installed for a rental property of mine. after looking at various systems eg. costco cameras, newegg etc I decided it was worth it to just have it installed by a professional. Sure it did cost me a couple hundred dollars more but it was worth it. I made an appointment with Rob, he was very knowledgeable and friendly and gave me a date and time for the installation. Rob & Shawn, along with another employee arrived on the scheduled date and time and spent a few hours wiring up my house. You can tell that these guys are pros, they don't waste time and get down to work. I inspected their work as I am a former audio installer so I do have knowledge and can tell if somebody has done a good job with wiring, which they did. In conclusion these guys WONT be the cheapest, but they did provide me with an awesome product, good service, good after sales service, neat and clean installation and good product knowledge. More...

I contacted Rob at VanCity HD Technologies after friends gave mediocre reviews of Futureshop installation services. My friends are so envious. Rob and his team did an excellent job discussing the pros and cons of each type of wall mount and speaker locations. We settled on a low profile mount that keeps my TV so close to the wall it looks like art. Rob went to the trouble of relocating the electrical with a recessed "clock" outlet so my LED TV sits flush. the speakers are mounted to the left right and directly below my TV. The Vancity HD guys even custom fabricated me some wall mounts for my BOSE acoustimass speakers so I dint have to buy the Bose ones which are like $50 a pop. i'm pretty sure I save money by going with these guys. they know their stuff and it show. My friends will be calling to see if Rob and his guys can "fix" their Futureshop installs. Cheers! More...
