They had to check all plugs and switches for pigtailing to make the house safe for aluminum wiring. My insurance company required them to fill out a form. Based on their consistently great reviews, I had used Vancity Electric last year to install an outlet. They did a great job for this very small project so I went with them again this year to install a pendant light and dimmer switch in the dining area. They did an outstanding job! It started with Cory responding very quickly to my work request with a quote and having someone out to install it the next day. Shane did an awesome job installing the light. He was methodical and careful with his work, the light fixture and the work area. He showed great patience when we had to balance the pendant, making sure I was happy with it. I was looking for an electrician to install some outdoor heaters and get some outdoor outlets for lighting done for a client. A supplier gave me Vancity Electric's contact info. Gave Cory a call and he came out very quickly to go over the site.

Vancity Electric showed up when they said they would, a rare thing nowadays, their entire team was professional and courteous, they performed quality work on time and within the budget, they even saved me $750, and cleaned up afterwards.
They were always willing to talk and answer all questions, explain their work and were able to be flexible and creative as the job threw some difficulties. We had problems and delays with both the city and hydro, and they stood right beside me through it all, when others would have abandoned the job, and advocated on my behalf to both parties.

Two weeks ago, I had the pleasure of having employees of Vancity Electric in my condo to do some work. As on the previous occasion that Cory’s staff did work at my home, I was impressed by their punctuality, politeness, and professionalism. They not only completed the work in its entirety but they also tidied up, leaving nothing in their wake but an installed ceiling fan and a strip of LCD lighting above my desk. I was especially impressed by the fact that Cory sent a first-year apprentice with his licensed electrician, who took pains to teach the young apprentice and explain things to her as he went along. 2 young guys came to replace the lights in my whole house. They were on time ( early in fact) Jason and Cole listened attentively to what they had to do. They did a great job. They put down drop sheets and vacuumed. After the job they folded the cardboard boxes for my trash. They took away the old fixtures. They were polite. VanCity electric worked with us over a 2 year+ project at our home, first for the outdoor hardscape project and then the 2 phases of interior renovations of our home. Throughout this period Cory and Geoff were amazing! We had so many questions and ideas that they patiently answered and processes that they explained, as well as brain storming and offering ideas that we hadn't considered.
