I can’t speak highly enough of Libby & Upon Occasion’s event planning. I had my wedding August 25th, 2019 and it truly could not have come together without her. She was there throughout every step of the planning process, from conception to execution. She recommended the best vendors, helped us get the necessary permits, and helped us negotiate the most competitive pricing! We had a complex wedding with a private & public ceremonies, same day edit, professional dance number, a gender revel, and a henna! If I had to describe the experience we had with Libby, it would take me a week to write it all down. In short, it was flawless and the end result was spectacular! ! If I could give her 10/5, I would. Libby is a very thorough wedding planner. She met with us many times to ensure the success of the wedding. She brought forth many great ideas that are easily overlooked but which contributed to the success of the wedding. She was very friendly with all the other vendors and made sure that each of them were carrying out their duties as expected and on time. We found Libby at a friend’s wedding (which she did a fabulous job planning), and I’m so glad that we did! She is organized, prepared, and insightful. She introduced us to most of our vendors, negotiated prices (she is a tough negotiator!), and helped us create an incredible wedding that reflected our budget and tastes. She got to know what we like, created an itinerary, and then ensured everyone stayed on track (not an easy task). She also provided great advice, which helped us make some tough decisions. As with any large event, there were some unexpected hiccups, but Libby took care of it and ensured everything went smoothly. She managed our vendors to ensure we got exactly what we wanted, and provided excellent day-of coordination. By taking care of all the details, she made being a bride so easy. Libby was recommended to me by a friends whose wedding I attended last year. We really appreciated Libby's foresight into the event and vision. She worked really hard to make sure our dream wedding came into fruition. We went by her recommendations and didn't question them. Every vendor we met and told them we work with Libby they always said oh she is the best. That was very reassuring especially planning one of the most important days of your life. If you were like me trying to understand why you need a planner, and specifically why Libby, let me help you and make it short and simple. You're spending a TON of money, working at least 5 vendors, and you've put your heart and soul into a memory that will last you a lifetime. The last thing you want is: vendors disagreeing about arrangements, someone not having a placecard, not having the right number of chairs, music going off at the wrong times, a boring atmosphere, or any other worry in the world... You want to enjoy this day, you want your family to enjoy it. Not going with Libby would mean you're doing this all by yourself, which is crazy! Why Libby? That list.. are just a few of the MANY MANY things Libby did for our BEAUTIFUL wedding. She was AWESOME - professional, punctual, relaxing, upfront, direct, organized, and literally pushed everything forward to make our day super.
