I've been training my dogs with the UPK9-Halifax program for a while now , the program as a whole is excellent and teaches owners how to really be in control of their dogs , and the advanced obedience transfers to any situation you & your dog find yourself in , Guy is a great trainer and is always available whenever you need advice , he's very approachable which is what makes him so great , Kim is also at group class every week and together they make a great team , I cannot say enough about UPK9 - Halifax , if you are looking for help with your dog(s) in HRM then call Guy!

Guy is a awesome trainer, I came to him last year with my dog who was very reactive towards other dogs, it was extremely hard to walk her in public. After a few sessions I could see a difference and now over a year later she is a completely different dog, I enjoy walking her and she can meet new dogs with no issue. Guy would always say "If your willing to put the training in you will see results" which is true, I have seen the result and it is one of the most rewarding feelings in the world. More...

I’ve seen my sisters dog benefit immensely from training with Guy. His confidence grew, he became respectful, obedient and so much more happy than before his training. Guy and Kim have completely changed our lives. We were at a loss with our dog who was having issues with reactivity, recall, and overall obedience. We started the training program in February and have noticed a huge difference in a short 7 months. Our dog can now roam freely off leash and be recalled and has improved significantly with his reactivity to other dogs. What I am most impressed with though is the professionalism and understanding that Guy and Kim have toward dogs and their owners. My first interaction with Guy occurred when 2 of my dogs became aggressive toward one another. I was upset, worried & wanted a quick and appropriate resolution for my family. Guy was not the first trainer I consulted, but when we did talk he responded like no other. He was approachable, non-judgemental, non blaming, compassionate, interested in hearing my story and spent time talking through my scenario without expectation. Following our conversation I knew I wanted to train with him. There is no one as passionate and dedicated as Guy (except maybe his wife Kimberly with her rescue work- they make a great team) ! What inspired you to start your own business?
I had an aggressive dog of my own. I tried several trainers before I realized it takes a balanced approach to change behavior.
