“I Highly recommend Universal Health Hub Services. They have been 100% transparent and easy communication online with family on daily care provided. Also, like how the staff takes daily self COVID screening seriously. Gives me and my family the peace of mind. I would recommend them to all those looking for services for elders, kids or anyone need of support be it PSW, nursing, meals, walks or even just someone to talk to.” More...

Q&As

Maya moved to Canada in 2012 with her husband. She went
through her career struggles like any immigrant and on top of it
being a woman to make an impact outside the four walls of the home. She worked
through several admin jobs in Toronto at Chiropodist, Optometry and Dental clinics
for 7 years. One morning at the peak of pandemic in the year 2020, when she was
moving to her new home with family, Maya learnt that she has cancer. The world
turned upside down for her, husband and their 8-year-old daughter.
It is during her several hospital appointments, going through systemic barriers in
treatment cycle and seeing the importance of family in pandemic that made her
decide that she will help families keep their loved ones at home. Maya not only
continued her Nursing schooling in the middle of her cancer treatment; but also
worked from the hospital bed to lay the foundation of a company Universal Health
Hub (www.UniversalHealthHub.ca) that breaks systemic barriers to improve quality
of lives of people in communities.

UHH has staff that speak over 20 languages and are skilled in culture competency.
UHH care cost to families is only half to what other home care providers cost. Today
95% of caregivers in the team are women with a mission to provide jobs to those
women that have a purpose to make a difference. Maya is the sole owner of UHH
that and gives away 80% of the company earnings to her caregivers. Maya is credited
with making home care affordable in Ontario with applying an innovative business
model in healthcare. The philosophy is simple: not to be rich but rather reward front
line workers. All UHH caregivers work under direct supervision of Maya, are PSW certified from Canada, background check clear and are First-Aid CPR certified. UHH also provides an
online account called family room for families to monitor the daily care of their
loved ones.

For seniors, UHH provides Personal Care, Respite care, companionship, palliative
care and more; both at home and at the hospital where families need help.UHH also brings footcare, dental hygienist and hair cut services to your
home.
