First time at Madison’s Grill for their special NYE six course dinner and can I just say this restaurant deserves a thousand stars out of five. Servers and hosts were so polite, accommodating and warm, and our waitress was so bubbly and kind it just made the night all the more special. The restaurant is small but it isn’t cramped at all- in fact, it’s quite roomy but the ambiance is cozy and so inviting. And the food is something else. The NYE dinner was delicious and wonderful it’s hard for me to even express how good it was in comprehensible English. So many creative, vibrant, unique and well thought out dishes with many different textures and flavours that compliment each other so well. We will definitely be back, this is such a classy place! 2020’s off to a great start- if this night is an indication of what’s to come in the next decade, I can hardly wait! More...

We came for a one night stay for our anniversary. The room was spacious, clean and they have wine and cheese waiting for you. Small added touches are lovely. Bed very comfy.We are at the restaurant for supper. We had the hen and seafood pasta. Both were delicious. Cute place. We had breakfast there as well. Salmon eggs Benny exceeded my standards. Service once again was second to none. The Christmas menu was delicious with the favorite being the eggnog cheesecake. We look forward to continuing our birthday tradition with an overnight at the Union Bank Inn and supper & breakfast and the Madison Grill. If you get the chance to stay in this quaint hotel make sure that you book a room on the heritage side. We were blown away with how beautiful the room was, how comfortable the bed was and how wonderful the staff were. The person working the front desk welcomed us and took his time on instructing us on some of the fundamentals of this hotel. He also made a wonderful suggest for breakfast the following morning. Our 2nd time back and it did not disappoint. The food was outstanding, service a little slow due to 2 large tables but not enough that it was an issue. I have stayed at this hotel on every trip to Edmonton. On my most recent visit, I was greeted by Nikola D. who is, in my regard, one of the most professional front desk clerk I have ever met. He was honest, helpful, attentive and not in a rush. He made my stay at the hotel very special. Nikola is to be commended on superior performance.||||As usual, the room was impeccably clean. I was fortunate to get a room in the Heritage section. My room faced Jasper which is a tad noisy but I appreciated having two large windows and plenty of daylight.||||The bathrobes are a wonderful amenity and the wine and cheese platter at 4h30 (approx.) is just perfect and oh so timely. The gas fireplace with its built in timer is great during the colder months (which is typically when I visit).||||The breakfast which is included is taken in the beautiful dining room on the main floor. There is a good array pf choices and the food is good (but not great - it was a tad better once upon a time. The servers are fast and very efficient.||||The rooms are very soundproof. Never once did I hear noise from another room and I know that hotel was full when I was there.||||The location of the hotel is perfect is your business is in the downtown core. It is close to buses and the Light Rail Transit (both underground and the new one above ground currently under construction). ||||Fabulous restaurants nearby including Tres Canarles (Mexican) and Ruth’s Chris (American Steakhouse chain).||||A short walking distance to the Edmonton City Centre (Mall) and the Citadel Theatre (I saw a production of A Christmas Carol).||||Skyshuttle can drop you off at this hotel and pick you up for the return trip to the airport (18.$ one way). They are reliable and on time. Compare with the set rate taxis from the airport to downtown at 55$.||||Stayed five nights and loved every minute of it. More...

We had intended to have the Christmas lunch but realized that it would be too much for us. So we each ordered salmon cakes and gingerbread for dessert. Room was cosy and warm. Had a elegant feel to it and fireplace was a nice touch to give the room a warmth. Bed was a little soft but still nice. Shower was good with lots of warm water. We love this restaurant, it’s a go to! The service is always 5 star, super attentive staff who also make you feel comfortable and at home. The food is always amazing and there is great variety on the menu so everyone is sure to find something they will love. We ate here while staying in the hotel for our honeymoon - it was amazing! The food was incredible! We had the Boar and Steak and it was the perfect portion and so tasty! Our waiter Todd was so nice and chatted with us for awhile about the restaurant and was so kind. Shout out to Greeta too who was so sweet! Mit dem Airport-Shuttle sind wir in etwa 30 Minuten direkt zu dem Hotel gekommen. Die Begrüßung am Empfang war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war groß, sauber und nett eingerichtet. Mir war die Klimaanlage etwas zu kalt und zu stürmig. Typisch Nordamerika eben. Meine Nachfrage nach einem Zimmer, in dem die Anlage abgeschaltet werden konnte wurde bei der aktuellen Belegung für diese Nacht negativ beschieden. Das Frühstück gab es im Restaurant des Hauses a la carte. Sehr lecker und ist im Zimmerpreis pauschal enthalten.||Nach ein paar Tagen haben wir auf dem Rückweg unserer Reise wieder in diesem Hotel eingecheckt. Man hat sich an mein Klimaanlagenproblem erinnert und uns "als Entschuldigung" ein Upgrade in die Präsidentensuite angeboten. Das ist mal ein super Service! Wo gibt es so etwas schon noch? Ich konnte in diesem Zimmer dann die Anlage abschalten und habe traumhaft geschlafen! Top Hotel-Management! More...
