I've loved Umami Shop Canada since it opened, and it just keeps getting better and better. We're lucky to have this oasis in the heart of Lethbridge. In addition to offering high quality foods from around the world, their eat-in fresh meals and baked goods are stellar and they bring in the coolest specialty items. To top it off, Patricia and Sven are warm and friendly and their customer service is amazing. My husband and I took a Mexican cooking class there last year, which was excellent and a ton of fun, and tonight we're taking a Thai cooking class - I couldn't be more excited! This place has most of the snacks that I've bought at gas stations around the world! I got misdirected looking for a TD bank, stumbled (like actually stumbled) in here nauseous looking for ginger chews and they had about 10 types of ginger chews, soft drinks from around the world and loads of international salty snacks! Umaminously recommended ;-0I was in meetings at Lethbridge City Hall and found Umami across the street at lunch. Â There is a deli, and they also prepare hot meals in minutes. Â I has a ginger beef pasta which was stir fried. Â It was fresh and delicious, and was just $12. Â Tried it a second time. Â Had a satay chicken vietnamese toasted sub, which with bottled water was $10. Â The flavours were fresh and just popped.
