We were very impressed with the knowledge and promptness of Blaine. We were concerned about several of the trees on our property. I wish I would have taken before and after pictures. The quote was quick and extremely well priced, the clean up was stupendous! Our two overgrown trees which had become worrisome in their proximity to the house, and towered well above the roof line, were efficiently and very affordably removed. Blaine came to evaluate several trees at our new-to-us home. He was extremely thorough, took the time to educate us as to why/why not certain work was recommended/required, gave tips as to things we could do ourselves to save money, AND provided tips as to where we could purchase things like fertilizer, etc. to again save ourselves some money. Blaine turned a $1500 quote from another large arborist company into a $185 pruning job. We'll definitely be using his services for that job, as so appreciate the knowledge he shared, and his honesty. We purchased a home with a mature Schubert Chokecherry in the front yard. It had indications of black fungus, at one time had been topped so there were lots of shoots growing from the branches. plus it was overhunging onto the driveway. Although we valued the shade, we seriously considering having it removed because it just seemed beyond saving. We contacted Turning Leaf and I'm so glad we did. After a couple hours of pruning and sawing, it's metamorphosed into a very attractive tree with a high canopy. Today the work was completed which consisted in pruning/trimming a Schubert chokecherry, pear tree and the removal of dead wood from 3 spruce trees. I am so happy with the work done. I have a small dead tree in our yard that needed to be removed, and Blaine stopped by to take a look at it and he was so honest and helpful and ended up suggesting that I could likely do it myself to save a few dollars. While he was here I also asked him about tree pruning, and again he was very honest and said I really don't need to do it for 2-3 years. I phoned Turning Leaf to prune my elm tree. In the 14 years I have been in Willow Park, I have never come across a better tree pruner. All the other tree pruners that I hired either made a mess, or simply didnt listen and work with me on my concerns. Turning Leaf did, and I cant wait for spring when my tree goes into leaf. Also, the cherry tree was a mess from previous pruning and Blaine gave me a plan for restoring it, after he pruned it. Very professional and a pleasure to have pruning the trees. Blaine's crew took down two massive pine trees in my backyard and pruned the old maple tree out front that was desperately in need of maintenance. I have used Blaine now twice and have been extremely pleased with him and his crew both times. The first time they removed 8 columnar aspens approx. 40 feet high from my back yard by hand. Quote was reasonable, work completed in one day and left my yard very clean, even sweeping up the road and driveway.
The second time, I had them trim a large evergreen tree at my rental property. I went over what I would like done and left them to it. When I went back to see the results, I was extremely pleased, as the tree looked exceptional. Again, price was very competitive, work was done well and the yard left very clean. Several months ago, we had our weeping birch and ornamental apple trees pruned by another company but weren't at all happy with the results so decided we would have them redone. After reading all of the excellent reviews on Turning Leaf, we contacted Blaine and asked for a quote. Due to staff shortages and the company's busy schedule, he was not able to get out for 2 or 3 weeks but that was acceptable as we weren't in a hurry to get the work done. After he came and gave us the quote, he thought it would be up to 5 weeks before they could come. Luckily, they had an opening and were able to fit us in much earlier. We were very happy with the work done by his staff except for two small issues. Firstly, the cleanup was not as thorough as it could have been and we had to spend some time the next day picking up a number of small branches that were missed. Secondly, the fellows drove up onto our lawn without asking us to reach one of the trees leaving a rut in our recently sodded grass. We moved last year to this property and few trees were sick and we decided to have them removed. We called him and he did an awesome job. This year we called him again , and he came very promptly , with an very reasonable estimate for the remainder of the tree that we needed to cut down . I needed three trees removed because their huge roots were threatening the house foundation. We had 5 massive aspens from the Sept 2014 heavy fall snow that needed to be re-shaped as well as a bunch of trees that needed to be trimmed, pruned, shaped. Blaine was very knowledgeable and professional. His pricing was fair and he did the work efficiently.

The tree was huge, the trunk was at least 4 feet across and the removal complicated by past attempts to stabilize the tree with metal pins drilled through the trunk.
