What do you love most about your job?
Things we love about our job? Working with powerful tools and equipment, climbing trees, working outdoors, meeting nice Winnipegers, the smell of fresh cut wood, a free workout routine, instant gratification improving the property's aesthetics, improving the overall health of trees so they can be enjoyed as long as possible!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've been in business for over 20 years now and honestly it was a part of me since I was a kid. I wrote business plans and created income statements before I even knew what they were called. There are a lot of huge challenges in starting and growing a business, but overcoming those challenges I think builds character and provides a great sense of accomplishment.
Why should our clients choose you?
I think values and integrity are the most important things in running a good business. This starts by just being a good person. We believe in "doing what's right" and valuing customers the same way you would your family or friends. We also hope to build long term relationships with our customers. Besides that, it's important to us that we a. provide accurate information about your trees. b. We employ only the best people in the industry and c. We ensure we work safe and protect your property from any damage.
Tree Removal
Removal of trees small or large.
Stump Grinding
We can grind stumps or surface roots any size as deep as 12" below grade.
Tree Pruning
a. Structural pruning - removing branches that could be hazards and will not facilitate good tree health.
b. General pruning - sometimes the tree just needs a good "haircut". This involves removing deadwood, thinning the crown, and shaping the tree. Proper pruning facilitates new growth, keeps it safe, and enhances the beauty of the tree.
c. Storm damage pruning - remove broken branches and make a clean pruning cut so the tree is best protected from disease or infestation.
Disease Treatments
Treating a compromised tree early or as a preventative is the best chance for it to survive.
DED Treatments- Dutch elm disease treatments for American elms.
EAB Treatments - Emerald ash borer insecticide treatments to prevent the infestation of your ash tree.
Copper Spray Treatments - Typically used for fungal diseases on evergreens.
Root Fertilization - Give your tree a boost of nutrients to keep it thriving.
Wood Chipping
Got a pile of branches that you need chipped and hauled? We can do that. Pricing is best when you leave the branches neatly stacked, with largest end of the branches all oriented towards or in line with the road.
