For a smaller town airport it's clean and bright. Comfy seats throughout, staff is courteous and helpful. Not to sure about all the hidden fees for rental cars though. . those could could mentioned up front.. like... "Do you want to pay extra for insurance on the vehicle?"... then when it's printed.. oh do you want to waive your deductible of $1K for an extra fee.. like.. didn't I already pay that when she asked me if I wanted coverage.? Worst, most inconsistent security in Canada. Their security alone drags down the whole experience of this airport. Either CATSA doesn’t provide standardized training or YXE doesn’t adhere to it.

The worst security experience ever encountered in over 20 years of travelling 40+ flights per year across the globe. Security personnel that analyses every single liquid product by reading every lable. One single small plastic bag given to me to fit the liquids, which was impossible. Two passengers before me a lady was given 2 bags to fill. Why does one Canadian airport let you keep your liquids if the quantity is slightly more than the tiny plastic bag and not another? When I asked to select which products to keep, they informed me that I could not touch them but had to indicate to the agent. Seriously?? For business travel, this is for sure an airport to avoid when this approach to regulations on hand luggage are maintained. I for sure, will avoid travelling through Saskatoon airport in the future. Smaller airport, clean but security is ridiculous. Why is there a verified traveller line when I still have to take out everything anyway? Also the flippant attitude about it - quote from the security personal “we are a smaller airport so you get a smaller line but still have to take out everything”. Actually “no” cause I have been through here before and had to take out nothing but whatever it is 5am and this is ridiculous. Then to make it worst you have so many security people just clumped in groups chatting away that they all have time to surround someone who is checking my bag (not once but twice due to a hair straightener that you couldn’t figure out). At one point 8 people were surrounding me checking out my bag?!? Seriously no professionalism, too much inexperience and attitudes. DO better - nobody wants to deal with security at anytime at least make it quick and painless. More...

The Saskatoon airport is awesome, newly renovated, clean and easy to get around. The security however, is not. I travel frequently, and no other airport security gives me trouble, so I’m not sure if the YXE airport security staff are just bored, but without fail, I have a problem every single time I come to this airport. As many other reviews have said, they are rude, and will go through your luggage unnecessarily, and if your toiletries aren’t in their designated bags, they’ll make sure they are before you can leave. I understand the rules, but would appreciate if this staff was calibrated with the rest of Canada. I dread flying out of this airport because of the security staff. More...

Wait 40+ mins for your bag here sometimes after a flight lands. Security is often quiet and therefore bored, so you get the works when you go through. Slows you down unnecessarily. Had to wait on run way 30 minutes to get into gate, then waited 105 minutes before 1st pice of luggage for anyones luggage to be delivered. Then cars blocking the pick up lane for 30 minutes before the front car would move to let everyone else out. No commissionairs working to keep cars moving.
