They spent time ensuring the load was packed, wrapped and loaded correctly and were very good at disassembling and reassembling some of the larger pieces of furniture. I was very happy with the service from Touchwood Movers. They arrived on time, and were very efficient in moving the items at both ends of the move, as well as being very cooperative in taking direction on where items should be placed. TouchWood team were excellent. The crew was great and dug right in and worked hard to complete the move. The two young men from TouchWood Movers were right on time and they were totally prepared for anything. The assessed the move out situation in 5 minutes and went to work so fast I could hardly believe it. They got all of my things out of my old condo in less than 3 hours and into my new house in 4 hrs. Overall, there were positives and negatives in regards to our experience.

Positives:
- Movers were friendly and stayed out of our way; they were also considerate of our two cats and followed our instructions regarding not opening the door to their room so they wouldn't escape.
- They were polite and asked for permission in regards to using any of our facilities.
- They wrapped most of our large furniture with shrink wrap to protect them from getting damaged.
- They asked for guidance regarding where to place our furniture and followed those instructions.
- Arrived quickly to our end destination, even with 35 minutes of driving time.
- Main mover kept up good communication throughout the day, either in person or through phone calls.

Negatives:
-Movers were 2 hours late; they explained that their previous job had gone overtime.
- A bit slow, possibly due to their previous job having been long. The move took twice as long as we were quoted but we were later refunded for 2 of the total hours they billed us for.
- Broke a piece of glass from a bar tray and forgot to clean it up; some other pieces of furniture got a bit scratched.
- Near the end of the move they could not fit our sofa up the stairs because it was too long. We were asked to pay $100 for them to take the sofa elsewhere, but the money was refunded the next day when I inquired about it.
- Misplaced two vintage rugs.
- Neighbours complained about their being a bit loud. More...

WORST MOVERS EVER!!! Deserves -5 stars

First lied about the quote and then argued with me about a refund that should not been charged.
I had a booking for 3pm, movers didn’t show till 5, then didn’t start right away… once packed took thier time again
When arrived at the new place, the workers Again did nothing for 22 minutes then said I had to pay the quote, plus 17% taxes ?!? And an extra $100… so for just under 2 hours of “work” I was charged $480… and the guys only “lifted boxes” for 20 mins loading then 25 to unload … I will NEVER RECOMMEND THESE PEOPLE.
