Good food and attentive service once a waitress decided to wait on us. This area is mostly mom and pop places and places you have never heard of so we wanted something safe where we new the food would be consistent and this location fit that need. It was not busy for dinner with most of the restaurant open. It took a while to be greeted and offered drinks after we were seated but it seemed there were only 3 waitresses which makes since as it was dead. Thank you once again to the staff at Tony Roma's - Winnipeg St. James! In keeping with tradition, our family has been to Tony Romas for the past several Christmas Eve dinners. We have booked the "private" area as we have 4 children & the Manager didn't disappoint! It made our dinner quieter & the kiddies were able to be kids! The food was amazing as usual. There was only one bit of disappointment in the size of beef medallions - pretty small for the price! Other than that, we all enjoyed spending quality time with our family members & especially our Dad of 88 years young! Thank you management & staff for helping make another memory! This was the first time I went to eat an actual meal. Usually I end up going for wings and drinks, but the meal was so good I think I'll be coming back often. Not sure why Tony Roma's has an overall 3.5 star rating. We had an excellent family dining experience! The restaurant was pretty busy and from my observation, other parties seemed to be enjoying themselves too! We were a group of 13 with a reservation for 6:30pm on a Sunday. We arrived a few min. early and the restaurant was almost full. The valet was just about packed as well so 1 person in our party had to find parking elsewhere.We were celebrating our grandpa's birthday. We passed plates around to share and from the ribs to the  burgers, sides, mahi mahi, salad, and onion basket, everything was delicious. I ordered a full rack of ribs and was pleased with the portion. The meat was crispy on the outside and just fell right off the bone. Drool. Huge mahalo to Jon for taking excellent care of our party. I definitely recommend this spot if you're celebrating a family dinner. There's something for everyone, the service is friendly and the food is delicious. I try tony Roma's first time at universal studio city, I think that time I ordered Clams chowder soup and 1 rack of baby back ribs still love the test and when I move to Honolulu I saw it on kalakaua ave so of course I try again absolutely still good if you have a chance to come by Honolulu must try pretty coo.

I travel through Newark airport almost every week and have stopped here a half dozen times or so. The food is OK, not bad by any means,  but not quite deserving of 5 stars. The service however is outstanding. Well, at least it was today. I stopped coming here because of some mediocre service last month but thought I would give it another shot because I needed a bit more privacy than the food court. I realized that every time I've been here that has been a good experience it has been because of Tajeedah. Came to Tony's for my friends birthday dinner. It was not our first pick but they had open table to seat our party of 14. We were all pretty hungry as we spent most of the day apple picking . Menu had an array of items to grab. I got 1/4 slab of ribs with side of Mac. Ribs were good and hit the spot. Mac was underwhelming and overpriced. Very impressed by the drink menu. We ate here while we waited to go through security at Newark Airport since we were delayed by 2.5hrs. We only ordered appetizers but they were really good! We got the spinach artichoke dip and the boneless chicken wings. We split the wing flavor between buffalo and Thai chili. Although the buffalo was good, we lovedddd the Thai chili! We also ordered drinks before we ate food. I ordered a Bloody Mary and it was awesome! Very flavorful without being overpowering. The service was good too. I should have written this review several months ago on our first visit but I'm glad I waited until our second visit because it confirms our first impressions.  We hadn't been here in years since the Pearl Ridge location closed.  We were hesitant because of several of the reviews but there really isn't  any other place that we know of for ribs.  I'll be referring to both of our visits which both were dine in.  both times we went before the dinner crowd so it was empty and were greeted and seated quickly.  To the point, the food was great!  We started off with a full onion loaf.  On both visits, it was cooked to perfection. Nice and crisp and not oil drenched. there were several times at the Pearl Ridge location that the Onion loaf was under cooked and oil drenched, not here.  I ordered a full rack of Baby backs with coleslaw, baked beans and a side of rice.  the ribs were perfect with nice texture and char with a nice chew and at least you knew you were eating pork.  It wasn't fall off the bone which I don't like because the texture then becomes almost like mushy meat.  the coleslaw was crisp and fresh.  the beans were nice and not mushy and went well with my rice.  If you read my other reviews I make a big deal out of rice.  I didn't expect much but was surprised that the rice was cooked perfectly unlike some other plate lunch places that can't get it right.  For me, the sides are just as important in the enjoyment of the meal.  My partner ordered the St. Louis style ribs with rice and corn on the cob.  and her food was great too.  So kudos to the entire staff being the  greeter, waitress and cooks.  My partner had a birthday coupon which made it an awesome deal.  I'm firm on 5 stars because of the consistency on both visits and all around service and quality of the food.  Until we find a better place for ribs, we're going back again.
