What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about my job is hearing stories of success from my clients. These stories fuel me and keep me fired up about what I do!
For example, just recently, I worked with a client who (through no fault of his own) was struggling with significant health concerns. He told me he felt like it was "the end of the line" for his career. But I encouraged him not to give up and to work with me on refining his job search techniques.
We worked together for a few sessions, and after a brief period of not hearing back from him, he reconnected with me over the phone. I'll never forget his words, "Thomas, I have good news. I just landed a marketing job at a firm in Toronto. Who would have thought?! Thank you so much for believing in me!"
You see, all he needed was someone to believe in him and guide him to the right resources. And the rest took care of itself.
So yes, it's stories like these that make me love my job so much!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started my journey as a Career Coach at the University of Guelph and Conestoga College. I thrived in those environments, but due staffing limitations and extremely high demand, clients weren't receiving the in-depth, impactful coaching I felt they deserved. Something needed to change. I needed to venture out on my own to solve this problem. So that's what I did! For the past 5 years, I have owned and operated a coaching practice in Guelph, Ontario, where I provide clients with the in-depth career coaching they really need. I now know that I am making a lasting impact on the lives of my clients, and that is what I want for you!

Most career service providers are forced to rush through clients in order to reach funding quotas. As a result, they only do a surface job. But not me.
