Rustic rooster Is beautifully located in Cloverdales oldest block, Surrounded by wonderful antique shops. The ambiance is great, very peaceful. comfortable seating area, surrounded by tall widows, allowing plenty of bright light to shine through on a sunny day. There is always a variety of baked goods and lunch food. Salads, pannins, wraps, breakfast sandwiches, flat bread pizza, soup, list goes on. The coffee they use and espresso is very decent. Comfy little cafe to stop and have a snack and coffee. The chicken caesar wrap was kind of lacking in fling but the sandwiches are fresh and good quality. Such a cute, quaint, and comfortable spot. The food was great! I ordered the cranberry chicken Brie sandwich, wow! The bread was fresh, chicken was cooked well, and the brie was uber creamy! They toasted it perfectly as well. Then my friend and I split two desserts: the pumpkin scone and carrot cake. MMM! Both of them were cooked perfectly, super moist, and packed great flavour. A great cozy spot in the heart of Cloverdale. A very home like feel when you walk in. With a white picket fence and all. I had the turkey and Harvarti sandwich on sourdough and a americnao . Both equally good and a very fair price. The coffee was amazing, light and flavorful without all that bitterness just great. The staff here super helpful and always smiling. They really know their regulars that come in. It's a great feeling when you walk in and the regulars come to you and ask how you are and if you would join them. THIS PLACE IS WONDERFUL. I found them off skipthedishes and have only ordered from here twice (both takeout), but both times were to die for. The first time I ordered I got a tuna salad sandwich, the tomato basil bisque soup, and a mini cinnamon bun. The sandwich was good but they don't toast the bread. I didn't ask though, so that's my fault. It's a basic sandwich but for some reason, it's like weirdly delicious. I think it's the butter or something. Ingredients also seem very fresh. The soup was SO GOOD. I don't even like tomato soup and I was guzzling it down hard. The mini cinnamon bun is only two bucks and it's pretty big. Real yummy. It's kind of just sitting there in the case, so it's not super warm or fresh, but it's still good. The second time I went, I got the chicken, brie, cranberry panini, a side salad, and the mini cinnamon bun again. The panini was DELICIOUS. I love brie cheese and the cranberry sauce was so tasty. The chicken isn't dry either, which I appreciate. The salad was normal. Nothing wow. Both times I've gone, the girl at the front is super nice. Very friendly and is really bubbly. She asked me about my day the first time and the way she asked wasn't like obligated customer service voice, but like, a genuinely kind person. I would go back just because she was so nice.The price can be fair depending on what you order. The baked goods are worth. It was like $16 for a panini and side salad which is kind of pricey, but if you're ordering a regular sandwich with the soup, I'd say it's worth it. Definitely gonna be a regular here. More...

Great cozy location for the area on a cold spring day. Reminded me of walking into someone's home with all of the decor. As soon as you walk in you can see there are trinkets and gifts you can buy on the left side. And on the right is the seating and the kitchen. Well decorated. Good balance between hipster and homey. Prices are fair, they range depending if are buying soup, wraps, sandwiches, etc., but for smaller things such as baked goods and snacks they are very honest. Ordered the mini cinnamon bun with the caramel macchiato. As someone who loves their espresso it was made to my liking. Didn't need to add anything extra. Another great coffee find in the Cloverdale area. The place is very nicely decorated and it reminds me of being in a high tea cafe. Take a seat by the window, the tables are so cute with fresh flower arrangements.The service is a bit slow because I believe they only have 1 person working in the back. Also, the prices are pretty outrageous for the food. I ordered the bacon panini which was 11 dollars, so I expected it to be pretty large. It was very small. Nonetheless, the flavours were amazing - simple yet fresh with bacon, tomato and cheddar cheese. I would highly recommend this panini if you're hungry and need a snack (it's definitely not a meal on its own!). I also ordered a caramel latte which was delicious and veg fairly priced (3.50 for a small).Overall great experience, but I wish the prices were a bit more fair. Considering there aren't many places as good as this in Cloverdale, the lack of competition allows them to over-charge... so it makes sense. Regardless, I would go back! More...

Just found this cute little jem while driving back from Cloverdale looked for the closest coffee shop other than the usual and my GPS led me to The Rustic Rooster. Drove to this cute area of Cloverdale that reminds me a larger version of Steveston Village. Cloverdale is becoming a great place to meet up with friends and do some window shopping and old-fashioned coffee and sandwiching. The Rustic Rooster really has that old-timer feel. Something you might expect in a small town, where you can get coffee, and Aunt Susie's birthday present at the same time. I like all the kitchen kitzch that's for sale as well. This place was recommended by a friend so I finally went. Great little spot in a cute area of Cloverdale. I had a latte and a day old cinnamon bun which were both tasty. My only complaint was that my coffee was lukewarm rather than hot. I'm not an extra hot kind of person but it wasn't hot at all. Dropped in for an old-fashioned ice cream cone and drooled over the bakery selection and lusted after the sandwiches.
