always loved the Rocky Mountain House. Even during Covid the take out was awsome. Went in for breakfast when opened up and was fantastic. Definitely a favorite. Great food.

I don't think it is fair to judge any business during the Covid 19 Pandemic...let alone a new owner! Every business owner is doing the best they can to serve us, the public. As far as the tent at The Rocky Mountain House, I would much rather be sitting under that tent WITHOUT seagulls, and out of the sun! Kudos to ALL Renfrew businesses trying to cope during these times! Tried supporting local but because we are a table for 2, we weren’t allowed under the tent in the shade. The young man told us that we are 2 so we would have to sit in the sun! !! Unbelievable as we are in the cusp of a heat wave. There were lots of tables that were empty. We won’t return and another establishment in town will be happy to have our business and our money. Food is awesome..wings delicious..but with no inside dining due to Covid, people have to sit on patio, which is lovely, but for some sitting in the hot sun and on humid days, it's not possible, some may have breathing issues like myself. I asked if we could have their wings on wing night for takeout and the answer was "no". I don't get it. At a time when businesses are struggling I would have thought the answer would have been "yes". Oh well...moving on More...

Really unprofessional service, If you make a mistake apologize. Five of us were basically kicked out at Breakfast with Santa because the staff never informed us that we had a time limit. As we were getting ready to leave, an employee then decided to tell us we only get 45 mins with the table, hovered over us and rushed us to leave. Saying they needed our table and we had to leave. They then lied to our faces saying they told us, then switched the amount of time we had for the table three times (45 to 50 to 60mins). When my friend complained that we had not been informed of this and that had we known before hand we would have planned accordlingly and had NO ISSUE with why the table was needed. We were appauld at how we were spoken to and treated. We were stuck waiting outside with two babies under one in the cold rain waiting for a taxi all because someone couldn't own up to making a mistake and forgetting to inform us or booking to many people. We made reservations and we're treated like this, I will never give them my money again. we spent $100 for food and taxis to have a horrible experience. When I went back to the establishment to address my complaint on the following Monday since I had not received a response via Facebook, I spoke with the owner and thing were being solved and dealt with. We were speaking in the bar area while the manager Alison was doing something with balancing money (I'm assuming) we had almost come to a conclusion when she decided to intervene with her opinion, which turned into her asking " why we stood in the rain, when I knew someone close by etc." totally ignoring the fact we would never have had to stand outside if we weren't KICKED OUT after making reservations!!!!! this woman then tried to bring in personal business with an extended family member and was trying to start a fight. I have CPTSD. Not once did the owner ask this employee to stop addressing me, not once did she ask her to leave or stop. I felt ganged up on, I was yelled at multiple times because I was getting very upset and starting to have a PTSD attack. when I told them I was having an attack Alison snickered at me and rolled her eyes like I was putting on a show. They threatened to call the cops on me multiple times because I wouldn't let them bully me into pushing me around. I literally only got an apology which has no merit to it now after being treated like that but ANOTHER employee!! It's obvious this new owner can't control her staff and even though she said she would be speaking with Alison, the damage has been done. You caused someone who told you when we first spoke that I had bad anxiety. You let your employee verbally abuse me, you threatened to kick me out again and call the cops because I got upset after my story being bit picked by some person who has an issue with my mother-in-law. Which had nothing to do with my complaint or that I even had knowledge there had been a. issue with family in the past. WORST customer service I've ever experienced and that employee should be more then spoken to. Alison purposely started an argument just because she didn't like what I said. They seemed more concerned about this Facebook review and the fact we said we had two babies under 1 waiting out in the cold rain. Sorry, but that's what happened, if we had been informed properly none of this would have happened. I wasn't going to add to this but how I was treated yesterday was 100 times worse then how j felt on Saturday with breakfast with Santa. I felt verbally atracked, was sent into a panic attack because I felt ganged up on, the owner was screaming at me, I was being threatened with cops. It was a complete joke. I have no clue how I'm supposed to handle something like this, specially when someone laughs in your face when you are having an episode. Spend your money wisely. More...
