The staff are amazing!! Friendly, attentive to what you might need/want and the food!!!!
The portions are huge, the flavour and the doneness of the meat, perfect!
! The sides are also done to perfection!!!
So glad I saw the episode of "You Gotta Eat Here" that featured them!!
I recommend this restaurant to everyone who lives or visits Collingwood!!!

I had placed an order through uber eats and waited about 40 minutes (which I don’t mind waiting) to find out that they hadn’t even started cooking my order. I then heard a rude conversation between whomever picked up the phone (host or server) with the manager because they didn’t put the call on hold so I could hear everything. The managers reply was that they were too busy to even start my order now (I would have waited another 40 minutes) and “ugh could you just tell her I’ll talk to her in 5 minutes.” I also overheard them discussing that “I never accepted the order” I work with an uber eats tablet at my work place and the second that you touch the screen to make it stop ringing and chiming it automatically accepts the customers food order. You can then additionally hit a “confirm” button but it just closes out of that order to go back to the Home Screen. It’s already been accepted. I would have appreciated a call from the restaurant much earlier than that 40 minute window and I would have understood they were too busy to accept my order. Unfortunately I then had to cancel with uber eats and wait to talk to a customer service agent and because of all of these extra steps and missteps of the restaurant I do not recommend because they are disorganized. My husband and I chose this restaurant for dinner tonight and we both had the Shrimp Skuttlebutt w Caesar Salad and it was awesome! 😋 🤤 The only thing missing was a bread roll just soak up the rest of your sauce in! We came up from Toronto for the night and really searched the restaurants/menus and felt like seafood and saw that Saturday night was seafood night at The Iron Skillet. We weren’t disappointed. I e been going to the iron skillet since Tony opened his original location on Hume st in the early 90’s. My grandfather even worked there for a time. Until today I have never been disappointed. Well today I took my wife and son for what I hoped to be a nice meal. There were 2 servers and a hostess on staff. Maybe 25-30 customers. It took 10 ministration to even put in a drink order. By then we also ordered our meals and an appetizer(garlic bread with cheese). After waiting an additional 20 minutes for garlic bread, that I am sure was ready made from frozen. Had not even a hint of garlic flavour, and the worst tasting parmesan cheese. Likely Kraft or no name. The mozzarella seemed like it was an afterthought as it wasn’t even stuck to the bread. So we paid for our drinks and garlic bread and walked out. Because if the garlic bread was terrible. I can’t imagine our meals would have even been edible. Tony’s has been my go to for nearly 30 years. After today. I will never enter his establishments and will recommend it to no one. Huge disappointment, just wanted to have a nice meal with my family. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner with our 4 generations. My Mom, daughter-in-law and 2 granddaughters last evening with view of Georgian Bay! The food was delicious….Mom had the seafood crepes and ate every bite, daughter in law and I had the chicken enchiladas - delicious! Right amount of spice! And the girls 11 & 8 had chicken fingers and grilled cheese with fries. Good portion sizes, great servers, we will be back! Recommend it all! More...
