I have been going to the Dye Lot since it opened (think 8 years now?). Christina consistently does an excellent job on my hair. She is a great technical colorist and very skillful at cutting. Once in a while my schedule doesn't work out and I have to go to Allison, or one of the other girls and each time I leave with a superb job done. I highly recommend the Dye Lot to anyone who has very high standards and expectations - you will not be disappointed. More...

Thanks to The Dye Lot for pulling together and creating a gorgeous Prom look for my daughter, even after we arrived half an hour late. Sergio's make up application lasted until the wee hours and Caitlyn's beautiful hair style was just perfect for my girl's overall look for the evening!! Thanks again to everyone! Great team! More...

Had the keratin treatment there today -- love it! I have had this treatment at other salons and this was just a notch above.  They use high quality products, excellent staff, and are very environmentally conscious. Well run business, great location.  Come a bit earlier for appt as parking can be tight in that area. More...

Had my hair highlighted for the first time, I was nervous but Vanessa made me feel comfortable and did an amazing job! She listened carefully to what I was looking for, and the results exceeded even my greatest expectations. Would highly recommend her ☺️

I recently decided to try out the Dye Lot after reading great reviews online. Was a little nervous trying out a new stylist to get blonde highlights on my brown hair but i am SO glad i did! Anna did such an amazing job highlighting my hair with the perfect colour to suit my skin tone. She really listened to what i was looking for and delivered spot on! Highly recommend Anna to anyone looking for highlights/colour. Not only is she great at what she does but she's very sweet and makes you feel very welcome! I went to the Dye Lot based on the great yelp reviews, and I was super impressed! They moved their schedule around to fit me in, and Heather (who cut and dyed my hair) was really, really wonderful. I'm happy I've finally found a place that I want to go back to. They also are part of Green Circle, which means most of the waste is recycled - even the hair! More...

The stylist that worked with me was super. Skilled, kind, funky, supportive.the owner made sure I was happy with the cut and color. I am really happy with such great service and people. Melanie is awesome. I decided to ombré my own hair at home (don't ask lol) and I obviously messed it up, lol, so I was in desperate need to fix it! My old hairstylist whom I had kept for over 10 years, wasnt in town and I was starting to look for a new stylist any way. I found this place and read the reviews & decided to give it a try! I love the salon, the structure and interior is pretty modern/European. All the other stylists are very friendly as well, except the receptionists tend to be very quiet & In their own world. Melanie was kind enough to fix my hair that day, she did an amazing job & I've been seeing her every few months since then. They're doing so great that they've expanded the salon already, it's even bigger now. More...

I decided to try this place because it got some great Yelp reviews and it is in close proximity to where I live. I decided I didn't want highlights anymore and wanted to go back to my natural hair colour. I called on Saturday and they booked me an appointment the next day with Sabrina. She told me about several options I could pursue to meet my goals (natural colour, no more highlights, grow out some layers, but keep the length), but she highly recommended that I go with an ombre colour technique to make a natural fade. I decided to go with it and I'm so delighted with the colour and the fact that there isn't that "line" where my old highlights used to be. She also did a great cut: nothing crazy and just enough to make my hair healthy without the dead ends. I am giving five stars because of great service/talent, great customer service, and I think the pricing is really affordable (though please note I just moved to Vancouver from Los Angeles where I typically paid $200+ for the types of services I received today.) I was looking to move from the salon I was going to and wanted something within walking distance from home.  So, I started to look on Yelp and found the Dye Lot with 4 reviews raving about this salon.  So, I decided to give it a try because I needed a real haircut and colour in the worse way!!!!So, I walked in and booked an appointment with a stylist that was also at the reception desk at the time.  I knew I was taking a chance, but I really had nothing to lose at this point, my hair was outta control!!  I asked about the products they use for colouring and shampoo etc. and she was knowledgeable about the products used.  She also told me that for my first appointment, I will receive a free haircut with my colour.  That was fabulous considering at my previous salon, I was paying almost 200 bucks for a colour and not much of a cut!My appointment day arrived and sat in Sabrina's chair, and told her basically to go ahead and give me a whatever cut she thought would work for me.  I let her know that I'm an active person and don't like hair hanging in my face, but that was all I said!She coloured my hair and gave me a great cut!!!  Everyone loves it and the colour looks great and seems to be a quality colour that actually didn't wash out a bit the first time I washed my hair (a couple of days after the cut and colour) which would always happen before!Great place!!  Love the folks working there!!!  Love the seats at the hairwashing stations!!  OMG they are sooo comfortable you could fall asleep!!!  Never had that happen before!!  I've actually got my sister going there now (she sees another stylist there who is also great, Olga) and also my niece!!  We were all unhappy with our previous place, so all 3 of us left and are now very happy at the Dye Lot! Christina (co-owner?) is awesome and everyone there is very fun. Great attitudes in a cool space with good tunes. I', a guy and have had my hair cut there for a while and my 10-yr old daughter recently had a cool experience with a feather addedto her do.Thanks.
