Had a blast yesterday with the power to be group! I'm terrified of heights but found that there were easy to climb routes for us newbies. Had a fabulous experience. This was a 69th birthday gift to myself. Testing my strength and abilities to face my fears. It worked I loved it. Staff was great both at front desk and during the climb. Super instructions and explanations. Great encouragement as I started to loose my drive. Kept me focused on my goal to reach the top. I did it I climb the big wall. I saw this as I was driving my family to Butchart Gardens and stopped on the way back to ogle at the wall. Unfortunately I wasn't able to climb but this facility looked fantastic. Not crowded, incredibly high walls with tons of overhang options. It's situated right next to an elementary school - I must admit I have no idea where you're supposed to park for the gym but I stopped at the elementary school (it was a weekend) and traversed through the playground to get here. There's a basketball court right outside too, where kids were playing a pickup game. Wish I lived here so I could actually climb here! More...

Went to my sons friends birthday party today at The Boulders and I can honestly say that I'm hooked. Need some suggestions on what gear I need. ..boots....harness...pouch etc. I like to have my own gear but do not want to get hooked into super expensive stuff. I never cheap out on quality but do like to get what I pay for. I will definitely come for lessons soon and the staff that I dealt with today including the young fellow who gave me some helpful info and advice were beyond great. More...
