Q&As

Sharing our passion for music with our students! Seeing them grow, improve, and fall in love with the art.

1. We invest in relationships with our students. Learning an instrument is vulnerable – we've been there. Everyone learns better when they are comfortable. Our first priority is to put you at ease, to get to know you, and to give you a space to be safe to make mistakes throughout the learning process. We are kind, we are laid-back, and we are (occasionally) even funny.

2. We know our stuff. We have years of teaching experience at the elementary, high school, post-secondary, and community levels. Between the two of us, we have 14 years of university music education with degrees in piano, voice, composition, choral conducting, music theory, and music history. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced musician, we're are well-equipped to meet you where you're at.

3. We give you options (and we've mastered the Zoom thing!).

Want to see us every week? Once a month? In person? Online? Not everyone has the same needs or interests, so we offer a variety of options. Covid-19 hit our businesses hard and we quickly pivoted to run our choirs and studio online. We did the research, we invested in the technology, we tested the waters, and we've perfected the setup. We know how to make an online lesson feel worthwhile, not-so-awkward, and some of our students even prefer Zoom lessons to in-person lessons (you can wear your pjs after all!).
