We have recently installed Telsco as our home security system and it was a great experience right from the start. The Telsco technician was very friendly, thorough, and obviously great at his job. He was also super helpful in showing us how to use the app and he updated our doorbell system, which had not been working. I accidentally tripped the alarm one day and Telsco was very prompt in contacting me to ensure everything was alright. They were fast to contact and went through verification checks. In December 2017, we started looking for another alarm system provider. (We were experiencing continual lack of customer service from our previous provider and felt we were treating like a "number" as opposed to a valued customer of 25+ years).

One of the companies we contacted was Telsco. Their representative, Kris Stangeland, came to our home to discuss options. Kris is highly knowledgeable and put together a system that perfectly fits our needs.

The two installers, Oleg and Amambeer were professional, cleaned up as they went and after the work was completed, explained how the system worked as well as walked us through the online applications.

I have had to contact Telsco a couple of times since install, just for questions, and response times have been same day. (Our previous provider, in a couple of cases, took months to respond to simple inquiries.We have absolutely no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Kris, Oleg, Amambeer and Telsco! More...

We had Gordon come to our home for a warranty follow up call on one of our devices. I was blown away by the amount of time he took to sit and teach me the system. To show me that the system is capable of so much more than one realizes. He took time to fix additional issues with the system that weren’t even on the service call out. I can see why Gordon is a senior tech with Telsco, he’s very knowledgeable, understanding and patient. Telsco should be proud they have someone like Gordon working for them. We've been TELSCO customer's for 15+ years and as will happen technology ages and needs to be upgraded at times. This was the case earlier in the year and at their recommendation had a new system and keypad installed to insure continued coverage and monitoring. Unfortunately, after the upgrade there was an unexpected issue that while not jeopardizing the system itself did make for a persisting annoyance. Although it took a couple of attempts I can't speak highly enough of TELSCO's commitment to look after their customers and in particular Kristin. She was always very prompt to reply, took our concerns seriously and treated us with the utmost respect & consideration for our time.I can recommend TELSCO with absolutely no hesitation. More...

Recently our home security camera was put out of commission when technicians from our internet providers were at our home to do an upgrade that they requested be done. Having not realized this was until we contacted Telsco when on holidays and could not access our camera to view our propertywhilewewereaway. Telsco came to assess this situation and it became apparent the other company was at fault. We were away from home and received a phone call from Telsco saying that the main floor sensor alarm was breached. They asked us if they should send a car around. I told them know, as we have neighbors that monitor our home when we are away. I called the neighbors and they responded noting it was a false alarm. When we got home, we called Telsco to see why this would happen. They said there could be many causes, but advised us that if we wished they could send a technician out to check out all the sensors to ensure they were working properly. We accepted this offer, thinking there would be a fee for this. A very polite technician came over and checked every sensor in the home to ensure it was functioning properly. They all were, and said it was an anomaly that this occurred. He also stated that if it happened again, they would come out and possibly replace the motion sensor. I really thought we were going to pay a service charge for this, as friends have told us that other Security Systems charge for service calls like this. We were informed that there was no charge. Our house was broken into in mid-August. The crook broke 2 doors, pulled all the drawers and took easy to carry items - cash, jewellery, car keys, etc. The insurance company changed the doors and locks but our sense of security was gone. It was time to secure the house. My niece in Calgary searched online and found Telsco. I looked up Telsco in Edmonton Better Business Bureau. It has the best review. I also saw quite a few Telsco signs in the neighbourhood - yes, the bad gusy are here, and yes, there are more Telsco signs here than other companies'. So I called for a free consultation session. Long story short, all the Telsco employees that I have encountered (from sales, online chat, installation technician, service department to the Business Analyst I emailed with regarding billing) are friendly and helpful. No one tried to hard sell anything to us (stories I read online re other companies). I asked lots of questions and they were all answered very professionally. We eventually opted for a deterrence system - no surveillance cameras. The price was reasonable. A friend of mine went with another company around the same time. My cost was cheaper and I got more value for what I paid. There is no long term contract - just one year then it's month to month. My friend had to sign a 5 year contract. Our system was finally installed in early October - the only bad thing really because we had to wait for above 2 weeks as the installation team was busy. The sesnors were placed at such locatinos that they would provide a double hit to qualify for alerting the police in case there's a breakin. The online interface is very useful in setting up users/keyholders and system alerts. We have set up text/email notifications so we know exactly what is going on with the system being armed/disarmed or doors/windows being left open. It is also easy to arm/disarm the system using the app - from the car or lying in bed! I still have to overcome the anxiety of leaving my house, but at least I know Telsco is looking out for me. We have only had our Telsco security system for a week but I had to give them 5 stars for an outstanding installation. The tech was very fussy about visual appearance and location of the various components plus he vacuumed up any dust and debris created by the installation process (extremely rare for most installations). He left extra wire for all of the hard wired sensors, neatly coiled and fastened up in the floor joists in the mechanical room (just in case something has to be moved in the future). His explanations of system operation were clear and he was patient with the questions we had for him. So far the wireless system is working well and we are comfortable using the smart phone app to arm and disarm the system. More...

Highly recommend Telsco. We have now been using their sevices for a few years and have had them come in and install a security system in different 3 houses. One call to our rep, Vicki Henke does it all. She responds promptly, and during walk- throughs is very knowledgeable. You do not feel she is adding anything unless needed. The techs that come in to install are very professional and have never had any damage during an install and they always clean up after. The whole experience is stress free. The few times we have had any problems with equipment Telsco is quick to respond. As the City of Edmonton continues to see an increase in the amount of neighborhood crime, and a break an enter in our own community a few doors away, we decide to investigate a home security system. As part of our research, we interviewed our neighbors that had security systems. Interesting no one was using TELSCO and yet they had some of the highest reviews online. We decided to contact TELSCO. Our salesperson was one of the most honest and sincere chaps we have dealt with in sometime. He made sure we had all of the information we needed offered referrals and helped us to understand that there is no need for long term agreements and more. We went ahead with the system and the technicians that came to our home were on time, efficient and very respectful of our home. I spent the day with these two fellows who made sure I had a complete understanding of the equipment being installed. The purpose for the system design and other options if I ever chose to expand our system. I am 57 years old, an experienced business professional and I can spot a fake when I see it. We could instantly see that TELSCO is looking for repeat business and they are investing in their clients to ensure their reputation proceeds them. Within a day of our install we referred our neighbor to TELSCO and we have told a number of people about the excellent service we received and how easy our system is to use. Brandon was excellent regarding systems knowledge and pricing: service orientated, accurate, thorough and professional. If you have the opportunity to choose your installer, you gots to get Kam. We went with Telsco ,after much research, because they excelled on all the items we wanted in a security company: - local call center - excellent customer feedback online and in-person - support for home automation We found the process to be very hassle free and our sales rep was patient as we asked numerous questions and made revisions to our plan. Installation was efficient and non-destructive to our property. We have had our Telsco system for 2 months now and love every piece of it. It is also worth mentioning that one of our door locks had a connection issue the first week. After calling Telsco they rushed out a technician to assess why. Telsco Security was very easy to reach out to and we were drawn to them because they are local and very affordable.We were able to book a consultation in the evening so we didn't have to miss time from work. They were available right away to install our alarm. The tech called when he was on his way and arrived to walk me through the alarm and made sure everything was cleaned up when he left the site. I am happy with my decision to go with Telsco for my home security needs. I dealt with Brandon Kaduk (inside sales rep), and he was helpful in helping me navigate what I required in terms of security and working with me while I was in-between moves. He answered all of my questions and had a quick response time. The installer (forgot his name, sorry) was also really superb and courteous. The install was done efficiently, and the training was valuable (and I love the ease of use of the panel). Telsco was amazing. When I inquired about them taking over an existing system (in a house we just purchased), they were over to have a look within two days. The quote was in my inbox within a day after that and the install started the next week. Fast, professional, reasonably priced. I would recommend Telsco to anyone. I also had a few questions after the install and my emails were answered in a very timely fashion. Another 5 star comment I have is that they asked me to complete a survey and with every completed survey, they donate $10 to the Ronald McDonald House. A great incentive to complete a survey. I am extremely pleased with my current home security update. All of the staff that I dealt with were extremely prompt and pleasant. I was especially happy with the customer service I received from the install technician. I have a rescue puppy and she is very protective of me and true to form she was less than welcoming to this gentlemen. He was so kind to assure me that it did not bother him and he totally understood why.
