WORST SERVICE and FOOD!! We ordered Non-Veg platter and the chicken was not cooked properly or overcooked. It’s felt like the chicken was not fresh. We asked our server and she denied, she said the chicken is cooked properly. We did not say anything for the veg platter however the paneer was hard and smells terrible with the food coloring which was disgusting. After 10 minutes our server came back and she said I double checked with our cook and he said, the chicken is cooked properly. We were like can you not see that it looks almost pink from inside and also the other pieces are so hard to even slice with the knife. Yet again another counter statement by the server that THE CHICKEN IS COOKED PROPERLY AND THE KNIFE IS NOT SHARP ENOUGH TO CUT THROUGH THE CHICKEN. It was kind of a war of tug between the server and us. We were trying to give our honest feedback but apparently she was not willing to hear a word. Chicken Kadhai was sweet and the lamb curry also tasted the same as Chicken Kadhai. However Tandoori Momos and Garlic naan bread was really good. No customer service skills shown by the server. No courtesy even to change the food. We wasted $106 on that food that was not even cooked. MASTER STROKE from the server that she has applied discount to our meal. FYI she applied a discount of $2.10 on a bill of $106. At the end its not about the discount, its all about the customer service standards. I dont believe you can be perfect in all standards but if you are not open to accept criticism then you are doomed. PLEASE LEARN SOME CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AND COOK YOUR FOOD PROPERLY BEFORE YOU PRESENT IT TO YOUR CUSTOMERS. My wife and I checked out Tandoori Zaika for the first time. We had Mango Lassi, masala chai for drinks. Both were great! Then, we did the Veg Pakora for appetizer which came with Cilantro Chutney, it was so tasty ! For mains, I had Non-Veg platter in Tandoori meats with Aloo Kulcha and Masala Naan. My wife had Chicken Kadahi and Zeera Rice. Naan/Kulcha was freshly made! All so yummy! It was hard to choose in menu as there are a lot of good options to choose from, and after having tasted all these food, I bet they’re gonna be great too. We Googled up a few restaurants when visiting Moncton and randomly picked Tandoori Zaika. To our surprise it turned out to be a fantastic choice. Location was very accessible in downtown, with a secure parking lot at the back. The place was clean, with a very calm ambience and courteous staff. Herpreet and Manish were exceptional. We asked them if the meat dishes served were halal which they checked and told us that the lamb and chicken dishes were halal. We ordered a few dishes for our family of six. The food was delicious. It’s not very often that a Tandoori / Indian restaurant’s food gets me impressed but this place was very good indeed. It ticked all the boxes for taste and quality, portions were large and good value for money. Two dishes could be more than enough for three adults. We have been eating here once a week for the last month. The food is always hot, flavorful, and packaged with care, and everything we have tried has been phenomenal. We have had lamb kadahi, chicken biryani, butter chicken, chana masala, chicken vindaloo, chicken curry and, of course, with every set of mains- masala naan, jeera rice and samosas with chana. I ordered Shahi paneer and they gave me chicken or non vegetarian dish.... it was a pick up due to covid 19, came home and my family went to eat it, luckily before we figured out it was a wrong order. Devastating experience and service. No greetings or customer service at the desk when you go to pick up the order. They don't know how to run a restaurant or serve people or are concerned that they are serving food and it's sensitive as people would sleep hungry if they don't get their proper orders delivered to them..... !!!!! We had this food delivered at our door during "quarantine time". We were able to pay by phone (credit card) and the delivery guy called as soon as he got to my house to make sure it was the right place and dropped everything at the front door - no contact. That service was very appreciated in this time. Now for food - it was hot, packed carefully and the portions were very good!! The samosa dish was to die for!!!
