We have not been to Tall Trees for some time. When the new owners and chefs took over we thought we would again give it a try. We were joined by friends and went for dinner. Amazing! Had a delicious meal here with friends, everything that came to our table was not only amazing tasting, it was also a feast for the eyes. Our server, Meagan was very helpful with the menu, suggested i try the scallop appetizer and boy was i not disappointed, followed by beef tenderloin that was cooked to a perfect medium. We went for dinner last week with 3 other couples. We were all very impressed. Our food was attractive to the eye and the palette. No one was disappointed or went hungry. The service was attentive but not intrusive. Under new ownership, with young new fresh ideals....Great food, comfort foods and fine dining. Great location for a lunch time get together or a evening to remember with your special person. The Kale Asiago Cheese dip is delicious, a great way to start your meal, The stuffed chicken is very enjoyable to the taste buds, and if you have a sweet tooth( I do) finish off with a butter tart and ice cream. We celebrated Mother’s Day at the New Tall Trees of Muskoka. Amazing staff that was always smiling, friendly and cheerful. The Mother’s Day menu was selective yet suited any appetite or dietary need. This place is amazing! Server is very friendly and food is pretty amazing. Pricing wise it's similar to downtown toronto pricing but majority of the good restaurants at Muskoka are priced that way. Lived up to it's reviews! My husband and I went to Spencer's for dinner last night based on the reviews on Yelp and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and courteous and the food delivery was well-paced. We both had the prime rib based on the pictures in Yelp and they were excellently prepared  just the way we requested. If you are in Huntsville and you are looking for a special place for dinner, try Spencer's. Came back for March Break in 2018 (on Pi Day). I had the venison pie, which had chunks of tender, moist meat. I meant to have a piece of pie for dessert but I was swayed by the Chef's special tiramisu. It was delicious. Wonderful second visit. We were driving through Huntsville by lunch on our way to Couples Resort, Whitney and saw this restaurant along the way. We looked at the reviews on line and has 5* ratings, so why not see it for ourselves. A house on a hill turned into a restaurant. It has a cozy, homey ambiance and the food is exquisitely delectable. The restaurant was cute and lovely. The service was great and the food was amazing! Went with a large group of 12 and had no problems. My son had the linguine alfredo from the kids menu and it was garlicky and buttery! I have never seen him gobble up anything before, let alone eat all of his meal. We've been to a lot of Muskoka restaurants over the 20+ years as full time residents and we're never been disappointed when we go to Tall Trees. The food is always top notch, we always know we're going to get more than we paid for and the food and service can't be beat! The ambiance of this restaurant is just so welcoming, from the moment you walk through the door. My husband, daughter and myself had the most incredible dinner last night! !! We all did the three course option. My daughter had the three onion and beer soup, I had the Camembert fritters with red pepper jelly and mixed fruit, and we both had the prime rib (done to perfection) followed by the butter tart with vanilla bean ice cream. My husband had the escargot, the grill platter with steak, lamb chop, Mennonite sausage and pork ribs, followed by the maple pecan tart. We were all raving about our choices. The only thing that rivalled the food was a visit to our table by Chef Randy ( I had to alter our reservation a couple of times and he was so accommodating and kind) and of course Karen, who was not only our server, but was just lovely and provided much humour and commentary to our meal. The pastry (made by Karen) was simply out of this world. We were still talking about the meal and experience today. Do not pass up the opportunity to eat here! I like this restaurant.  I can't believe it doesn't have a better score. I have never had a bad meal here.  I find the quality great.  The meals aren't huge but the price is fairly reasonable and the quality top notch.  Their molten chocolate dessert is delicious.  Their onion soup good and I reckon all the mains tasty.  This is my 'go to' restaurant in Huntsville for a nice meal. We had a wonderful meal here 2 days ago.  We each had the table d'hôtel prime rib roast beef, which was perfectly cooked to medium rare.  We sat in the sunroom and had a terrific view of the setting sun.  The wait staff were polite and chatty and the meal was served in a timely manner.We have dined here many times and always leave satisfied.
