About

Cristina is an Ontario Music educator and Ontario Certified Teacher with the Toronto Catholic District School Board. She teaches vocal music from Kindergarten through to Grade 6 and has also had experience teaching band to the intermediate grades 7 and 8. Solfa Music was established to offer one-on-one instruction online and in-studio.

Her vocal pedagogy incorporates a lot of the Kodaly, Dakcroze and Eurythmics methods.

She has experience catering to students’ individual needs and designing programs that engage her students.
Although classical music and musical theatre is the focus of her career and her teaching, Cristina has been delighted to coach and perform other styles of singing as well. She focuses on proper vocal technique, in the areas of resonance, breath control and diction. She can prepare her students for university auditions, competitions, Royal Conservatory exams, other music exams, performances for high school, or perhaps just to enjoy a beautiful art form.

All of Cristina’s lessons are tailored to the goals of the student and she helps create an atmosphere of learning and fun.

Cristina can also prepare her students for RCM Voice Grade 6. Besides teaching, she also has a solo career over the past 20 years from Classical, pop, rock, R&B and musical theatre.

Her return to classical and musical theatre is where she belongs. Having graced the stage in various musicals, cruise ships, cathedrals, television and film, Cristina understands the passion and art of singing. Cristina also speaks Italian, French, Spanish and German.
